We made the right choice! We stopped at a gas station; bought a noodle and entered the Big Bend of the Colorado State Recreation Area on Needles Hwy in Laughlin. There's an entry fee per person, a place to change into your swimsuit. You can bring your lunch. The River was so nice and cool. We spent at least 3... More

The air is hot and the water is cold - a refreshing retreat coming from Las Vegas. If you are several days vacationing in LV and you are looking for some refreshment you can drive about 1 1/2 hours to Laughlin and enjoy this area. The views remind you more of the Middle East than any place in the US.... More

There are 2 large beaches and a small one in a cove. You can park your jet sky or dive in for a small fee. Soft beach, covered patio and picnic tables.

When staying in Laughlin in the warmer months, definitely visit Big Bend of The Colorado State Park. The river there meets pristine beaches with calm, crystal clear water for swimming. There is also a lagoon with a boat launch and clean restrooms near by with flush toilets. The tree's and bushes that line the beaches at Big Bend are cut and... More

We like going here and visit several times a year, we tent camp and brave the heat (it gets very hot in Laughlin) The river is the attraction here and we spend the better time in and around the water as it is cold and very refreshing. If you go bring all that is needed Laughlin doesn't have a store... More

We were looking for an easy place to get in the river. And spend and afternoon in the sun. A childhood friend who has a vacation home in bullhead suggested Big Bend. Ironically it is 5 minutes from my family's weekend condo. What a pleasant suprise! It gets packed on holidays and summer weekends some come early to stake out... More

We had a ton of weird moth flies but they died down when it got hot. The maintenance guy said they only had a 3 week life span but they had already been there for 6 weeks

If you are not a Nevada resident they charge $15.00 a day. Most places are $10 a day but not in good ole Nevada! Very narrow boat launch and nobody making sure the no wake is actually No wake
