I enjoyed the trip very much. Organization and equipment was perfect. Our group (3 guests) could purely enjoy the kayaking and the stunning landscape. Our guide (Mahan) did a fantastic job. On the one hand he gave good kayaking instructions and tips (I am a beginner in kayaking) and on the other hand he was very knowledgeable about the area.
During the trip we also made a short but very nice hike to a hot spring for soaking.
For me this trip was a great experience!

Our family of 6 had a great time on the river with Luke during our winter break trip 2021. None of us had much experience kayaking, but Luke was a great teacher. The water is beautifully clear, we saw so many fish! Seeing the Hoover Dam up close like that was amazing. It was cool learning about the history of Boulder City from Esteban our driver who grew up here. More history about the dam through out the day as you paddle along and seem remnants of how things were set up before and during construction. Emerald Cave is toward the end of the trip, so the sun was below the ridge on the other side of the river and it wasn't lit up. Our group ranged in age from 6 to 50. Luke was patient with us getting the hang of paddling. But we typically didn't paddle for long before we got out of the kayaks for a short hike to a hot spring or other interesting spot. He is super prepared with anything you might need in case of getting wet or cold. Lunch was sandwiches, a cookie, and baby carrots. They provide nice big sport water bottles and the guide has a refill bladder, so no need to bring your own. For folks going with kids in the cooler months, I'd suggest you take several changes of clothes. They ARE going to get wet. Take a wet bag to put the wet stuff in. A rain coat or poncho for kids might also be a good idea in cooler months to help keep them a bit more dry. We went out on a cloudy day, so we didn't have the sun's help in drying our clothes. Luke had dry bags for our backpacks in which we carried snacks and some other stuff. Really fun trip! Hope we can go again to do some of their other activities.

As a local, I've been meaning to do this trip for years. Finally got it done with guests from out of state. the company is organized and conscious of safety. Others on the tour were tourists from out of state. We had a blast, enjoyed the hikes to hot springs - one we dubbed "hot weiner springs" which your imagination can easily figure out why. The placid water was awesome, the tour guide knowledgeable and fun, take out process was easy. As a local, don't agree to pick up in the van it added more than 3 hours of transport time - drive to Boulder City yourself.

Send someone whom is able or two people to do their job. The start was great, we had a self guided tour from willow beach. The morning crew was great getting us situated. The pick up crew was one guy. As we watch all the other kayak companies helping their customers as they came back in get out of their boats ect. ... ours didnt do a thing to help us, then he wanted help getting boats onto truck, while him and my son messed with one kayak cause it had water in it and was heavy my other son and husband loaded the other 2 kayaks on to the truck. This is not a one person job and company shouldn't have sent one person and expected customers to load heavy kayaks onto truck. We did more work than the company at pick up. Next time... and I come here 3 times a year I will definately be using one of the companies that were helping g there customers out of their boats at the end and not expecting customers to load there kayaks onto

Hello and thank you for your feedback. We take all feedback seriously and have heard you. We will be discussing our procedures at an upcoming staff meeting and will see what we can do to make things easier at pick up time. Thank you again.

Always wanted to try kayaking and we finally did with Desert Adventures! Three out of the four of us were first timers but it was no problem thanks to Gianni! Not only did Gianni give us a crash course on how to kayak, he guided us through every aspect of our beautiful journey on the river. We explored caves, went on a hike, learned some history about the area, and even saw a bald eagle! With his outdoor experience in and out of the water, we knew we were in good hands with Gianni. I can easily say that our family of four, including two teenage boys, had one of the best family outings with Desert Adventures.

We had our own equipment so we hired Desert Adventures to shuttle us from our campground to the put-in spot at Hoover Dam. Along the way, we had a small mishap that was handled so quickly and professionally that our trip continued on as planned and we were on the river as scheduled at 9:00am. This is an amazing trip. The water is crystal clear, refreshing and so beautiful. The hikes along the way are so fun! Once on the river, we ran into Sarra, a guide for Desert Adventures, with another group. Even though we were on our own, she was so friendly and helpful. Enjoyed all encounters with staff-Kevin the driver and all office personnel and manager Joyce! Best customer service ever!!! Definitely recommend Desert Adventures and this awesome trip!

*Everybody* involved with this trip was really friendly, even quite early in the morning- from pickup to drop off. Neil shared a lot of stories about the area on the kayaking and hiking parts of our trip, and everyone seemed excited and happy to be doing what they were doing. Absolutely beautiful kayaking on perfect water. I didn't want to paddle up to the dock at the end! I would totally book a multi day trip or just rent boats from these guys again- really cool people.

Highlight of our visit to California and Nevada. Ask for Mahan or Neil or Antonio big legends all of them. Worth every penny - other companies might be cheaper but these guys are pros and fully safety trained. We did the black canyon kayaking guided tour but I would easily go back in warmer weather for SUP.

Sarra is an incredible guide. Her knowledge and enthusiasm for the wildlife on the river is unparalleled. The company is extremely well organized, from their packing system to their loading and unloading of boats, to their pickup snd drop offs in the city. i've done this trip twice with them and wouldnt do it with anyone else!

My daughter and I did this trip. Neither of us are kayakers but the guide was very supportive and knowledgeable. You see a lot more with a guide than you do without. The lunch food was very good, healthy. Luckily, the weather was perfect and we went in May so not too hot. The paddling was challenging but doable. I would highly recommend this company if you want to do any outdoor adventures.
