Fun Casino

Very small casino right on Fremont street. Fairly loose slots I thought, friendly staff and the comped drinks came quite fast.

The Mermaid Casino closed on the last weekend in June. It, along with other attractions on the west end of Fremont, were purchased and closed for future development.

A quick note to say Thanks to all of you at Mermaids for your hospitality over the past 8 years. One of our regular and favorite stops on our Bi-annual trips to Vegas. We were there in April when the news broke on the sale and imminent changes. Shocking and sad but its Vegas things change, we get it!! Wish... More

The Casino was ok, but the snack bar in the back was worth the wait. It was a real treat. BEST deep fried Twinkies ever!!! Sorry to hear this place is closing down. :(

We visited Mermaid's twice last week. We visit every year. Yea it is a little run down but the drink service is great! The best IMO. I like going to some of the older casinos downtown. I will definitely miss this place when they close on June 27th! Downtown won't be the same for me without it!

Great deep fried twinkies & oreos for 0.99 cents. They are really good. The casino was small with only slots and a little dirty but we only went for the food. We were told as of June 18, 2016 The D Casino bought them & they are closing & The D is making it into something else.

Had the chance to hangout there for a few hours last week and wasn't that impressed. The girls working out front are pretty pushy and really try to get you to come in there. The place is very small and overwhelmingly smoky. There's a small fast food restaurant at the back that dies average but very cheap food. Worth stopping... More

Absolutely love this place!! I cannot say enough good things about it. So sad it is closing at the end of June 2016. I really, really hope the new owners plan to keep the "fun flair" of Mermaids by keeping the staff, the frozen drink bar, fried Twinkies, fried Oreos, pretzels, french fries, etc. The service and atmosphere is so...
