About
Life is Beautiful takes over Downtown Las Vegas for a three-day weekend each year, promising festival goers a host of surprises in four key areas: Art, Music, Food, and Learning — truly providing something for everyone. The lineup mixes popular acts such as Imagine Dragons, Kendrick Lamar, Major Lazer, Brandon Flowers, and Hozier with classic icons such as Duran Duran or Stevie Wonder. Street art, huge murals, installations, and a multi-sensory Art Motel entice art-lovers, and a VIP area — complete with celebrity chef cooking demos, real grass to lounge on, and free lemonade — helps you forget the desert heat.

Life is Beautiful is definitely an amazing experience that everyone should experience once. I love the Dome, I love the JBL stage, I love the Downtown Stage and the Main Stage. I recommend this to be the first for anyone's first festival. There are amazing people to meet and great first time festival goer.

The festival was amazing! The shows were so well organized that we never had any wait time between acts. Everyone was so friendly. We will be back next year for the full weekend.

We travel all over to festivals regularly and this one still stands up as the best in North America! Started 4 years ago as a food and music festival it is (sadly) moving away from the food roots, but still is an exciting, original festival. They close of 18 blocks of downtown vegas for the entire festival so there are restaurants and bars and such right inside the gates. You can see music, talks (also much better in previous years), eat food from well known chefs, and have a great time in a good climate in late September.
I recommend staying downtown to avoid the tough commute back to the strip after the show each night. Especially if you've been on the strip before. So much to do in downtown!
I do wish they would bring back more of the food demonstrations and events. The Guitars and Grills Vip Event was cancelled this year, and in other years was the highlight of the festival. Hopefully someone at the event reads this!

It was great to go to a music festival for the first time in over 18 months. We had never been to LIB before and were excited to experience downtown Vegas.
We bought regular VIP tickets expecting the experience to be similar to many of the other festivals we have attended. At LIB, the VIP experience left much to be desired. The shortcomings were numerous:
1. Too many people in the VIP area;
2. Not enough seating in the VIP area;
3. Not enough food options in the VIP area;
4. No easy way to travel from area to area. By the end of the night we were wiped out from walking the ten miles back and forth in high 90 degree heat; and
5. Lack of any direction or taxi lot area to try and get a cab or UBER back to our hotel on the strip.
The line up was really good and we loved seeing some live music. If the VIP experience matters to you, pick somewhere else. It is largely a waste at LIB.

It was a good time if you're down with dancing with kids half your age then by all means. LIB seems to attract a much younger crowd 13+ and is very crowded. They are changing the location for 2020 which is good but this year it seemed way more low budget. The lineup was not that great and food is of course absurd.
The best part is nearly unlimited parking just 2-3 blocks away in the residential neighborhood

Flew in from Canada to take in this event and was very please with what they offered , they had many liquor vendors and line ups were minimal . Street food trucks were available but as always prices are high for what you get {especially the peiroghy truck ). Only recommendation I have is the organization installs fans to keep the air circulating near stage area cause people were fainting and this would probably help .Overall i Highly recommend this event . And damn , Post Malone was epic .and top performances by Toto , weekend vampires and Bulow as well

We went on the Saturday and started with the Pool Party at the Downtown Grand watched the Fab Sir Sly perform before moving on to the main festival Pm. Browsed the fantastic art at Crime on Canvas before taking in a rocking set from the magnificent Welshly Arms who in my opinion deserved a much later slot in the day but still gave a terrific performance to a select audience so early in the day. We took in the Plastic Art Exhibits with Penguins Monkey and Whale making a terrific anti plastic message. Quite stunning. We visited the soon to be Area 15 followed by the dance challenges and then as darkness fell the crowds swelled enormously and the headline acts appeared finishing of with Florence & The Machine in the sweltering Vegas heat. All in all a wonderful unforgettable experience.

My first american music festival! and what an experience. The lineup was so amazing, production on point, really enjoyed the installations and art murals. Overall I'd recommend it, it has an unique vibe like something between SXSW and Burning Man.
See y'all in 2019.

In the last 10 years I have been everywhere from Coachella to The New Orleans Fest and everywhere in between. This is by far my favorite festival experience. Great music but also comedy, food, art work and speakers. Best of all you can stay in a hotel room that is walkable to the action. We have gone every year and will continue the tradition. This is an event I look forward to all year, if you haven't made it you're missing out.

What is the best hotel/motel to stay at for this festival? I don't suppose you can stay at a hotel "inside" the festival boundaries?
Written April 21, 2017
Any Hotel downtown is within walking distance. I recommend Golden Nuggett. Its one of the nicer hotels downtown, but comes with a reasonable rate.
