It’s a little tricky finding this place. I didn’t even notice the Welderup sign on the pole, just followed Google maps directions. The building is not on the street, go through the chain link fence and drive down to the back. There are several crazy looking vehicles outside but go into the building, pay your $5 and see lots more. I especially liked the decor inside - old Model T type cars staged to look like they’d been left out in the field for decades, trees growing up through them. And even though I’m not a mechanic or welder I can appreciate the work that has gone into the vehicles here. There’s a good sized gift shop with tshirts, hats, magnets and stickers.

We stopped here with the Hog Car Tour. This is an amazing display of artistic rat rods! These cars have details that start popping out at you the longer you look at them. My favorite, The Cancer Car met me at the door. I am a cancer survivor and have lost love ones to cancer. This car portrays the stages that cancer has on it's victims. This car choked me up a little. You don't have to be a gear head to appreciate the artistry. Come take a self guided tour. It is very affordable!

Recently while in Vegas we took a tour and one of the stops was at Welder Up. My son loves the show so I was looking forward to seeing what they had here as I've also seen the show and can appreciate their work. They had some pretty cool rides in the garage and it was well worth our time to check them out.

Steve was the most down to earth and personal tv celebrity i have ever met. He showed us around his shop, talked to us about everything under the sun and was just an all around awesome person. This is by far the best experience i have ever had traveling from town to town and place to place. I definately recommend this tour!
