Scary bottleneck ingress and egress! Open the doors and let the people out! There are only 3 or 4 or maybe not even that many doors to exit thousands of people. You walk down a long long narrow (about 20 feet wide) hallway with shops on both sides. Unbelievable MGM would create such an awful bottleneck. I saw more doors but they are probably in case of emergency. It took way too long to exit all the people at the concert. We have been everywhere in Vegas and this mess is something I have not encountered before. I can’t say enough about it - shuffling thousands of people out that way.

We were there for the Jimmy Buffet concert on March 5. While we love his music, the venue was less than desirable, as people were smoking pot around us. Even after complaining about that, nothing happened.
We were getting so nauseated that we had to leave after a very short period of time and, no, a refund was NOT offered. Shame on MGM!

Their security is a joke and cannot support those with autism or any type of disability because they think that they are club bouncers. We reported the couple behind us, threatening us and their security team did nothing to prevent it and while we were being attacked, they were nowhere to be found. We had to rely on the public around us to get men off of us.
If you suffer from any type of disabilities such as anxiety, autism, etc. do not attend a concert here. They’re not equipped to protect and serve you.

Went with family and saw the Jonas Brothers on September 8! We had so much fun. Getting into the arena was easy and staff and security was friendly. However, the venues floors were filthy. We were legitimately sticking to the floors. How do you dance and have fun when you can’t move your feet?! My aunt almost fell over trying to pry her feet from the ground at one point. I mean seriously, someone mop the damn place.

Was visiting Las Vegas the weekend of Deontay Wilder vs. Luis Ortiz 2 at the MGM Grand. The venue is a nice size, great siteline and a welcoming staff. We will definitely be back.

I searched a long time before I was able to ascertain this information so I thought I would write it up for others to easily assess. The floor set up and seating is reconfigured depending if you are there for a concert, fight, conference, etc but the seating is generally the same...especially in the permanent seats.
MGM Arena Seating chart details
Seat #1 of Floor A is on the outside aisle of the section and Seat #14 is on the inside aisle towards the center (or Floor B). In section Floor C, seat #1 is on the inside aisle and seat #14 is on the end furthest from the stage (How many rows each section has depends on the configuration for each particular show)
MGM Non Floor Row Numbers
Sections 1 thru 24 all have 25 rows each: each section starts with row AA and then goes from row A to Row X. Sections 101 to 117 have 8 rows, each starts with Row AA and goes to Row HH. Then the 200’s in the rear (201-206) goes from Row A to Row R while the sides (207-218) start at row A and end at Row L.
If looking at the stage, seats are numbered starting at 1 from the right side of each section and continuing leftwards.

While the sound in this venue was very good, and the walls and ceilings acoustically treated, there were still some misses, that could have been done much better.
The first thing that we were confronted with, was the main entrance to the venue, which is from the outside, basically in a back lane, away from the strip. Signage wasn’t great, and the queue lines were just a large mass of people, without any real direction.
After getting through the 4 doors that were open, and the metal detectors / security screening, we headed up the escalator from the lobby, since our seats were in the 200’s.
At the top of the escalator, it’s a right turn into the 200 lobby area, and you’re suddenly face to face with about 300 people all lined up in a fairly confined space, all waiting to buy concert merch. yeah, all of that, food and drink venders, and hundreds of concert goers trying to enter the venue, cross through the mass of people waiting in line to buy T-Shirts, and there’s no where for anyone to move. At the very least, the fire marshal should have something to say about this, as there would be nowhere for anyone to move, should there be an emergency.
I bought cheap tickets, since I was traveling from Canada for this concert, and I knew that I was in the nose bleeds.
What I didn’t know, however, was that my view of the video screen over the stage was going to be almost completely blocked.
Far be it from me to ask an American venue to roll up their flag, but surely someone from the venue would have noticed that this would be an issue.
There were two smaller screens up to the right and left of the stage, but the main screen, on which video effects were played throughout the concert, was near completely blocked by an American flag hanging from the ceiling.
Several rows of seats up the center of the nose bleed section could not see the main screen, at all.
Surely, they could have hung that somewhere else, or raised it slightly, in order to provide an unobstructed view of the main screen.
Other than this, the staff were all very polite and helpful and, as I said before, the sound in this venue was very good. We could clearly hear the concert, all the way to the nose bleeds.

It's not called "Grand" by mistake; it is a Grand experience. Very professional and organized entry and exit; easy assistance finding your seats, great beverage and foot outlets, easy access restrooms and whatever event you are attending; every seat is a good one. Lighting, sound and view are top rate.

Buenos dias, pensamos ir en septiembre a la arena MGM, sabes si compro los boletos desde Mexico en el sitio MGM, que los veo más económicos que ticketmaster, si es digital el boleto? o se debe recoger o con el correo de compra? gracias

Just bought tickets to a boxing match, unfortunately I didn’t get to pick my seats. My section is 206. Are those good seats? Will I have a good view of the ring? Or will it look far away and small? Thanks
Written May 22, 2019
Section 206 is where our seats were for the ACM Awards show. I agree, It looks like the seats will be pretty good for the boxing match. Use restrooms before you head up to the sears. Lol. Have an awesome time!

For a basketball game, which number seats in Floor A or Floor B are toward the center? Thanks
Written August 3, 2017
Generally in a configuration for a basketball gameat the MGM Arena either sections 12 or 13 would be considered center court side. Stuart

Going to a concert in September was wondering if section 12 row j are good seats? Or just that section itself of is good enough?
Written June 7, 2017
I was in section 212 and it was fine. A little obstructed because it was on the side. Section 12 looks great on the seating chart!

What are good seat options for concerts? We're thinking ground level up front row are there chairs for you to sit there? What sections do you guys recommend for up front seats ?
Written May 25, 2017
We sat on the side--lower section, and felt like the seats were great. I think that everyone on the floor stands. I also would not spend the extra to have floor seats. The side, lower level, had easy in and out, as well as, easy access to concessions. I would definitely recommend those seats.

I am staying here as part of a stag do. are the clubs/pool parties at the MGM included and free for guests at the hotel?
Written January 12, 2017
Although I did not stay at the MGM I did visit it and I believe this would be included if you are resident at the hotel however best to contact the hotel directly and ask.

my wife & I purchased tickets for an upcoming concert, we have seats 1 & 2 in the first row of section 203. From what Remember, the arena isn't that big, but i'm beginning to second guess my seats. In your opinion, will my seats be too far for a good view? Thanks in advance,
