I was absolutely floored walking into the Toy Shack this afternoon! I’d describe it best like an awesome toy antique store/toy museum where pretty much everything is for sale. I was pleasantly surprised to see a lot of old forgotten favorites I’d remembered from years ago, and also to see ALOT of really cool vintage to new toys and collectibles that I’d never seen before or knew existed! The store is JAM PACKED with toys from floor to vaulted ceiling, and my best tip is to definitely take a few (or 5) rounds about the store just taking it all in; you will see something new you didn’t see or knew was there every time. (I had stopped myself after the 5th circle about the store, simply because I resigned to the fact that I was only continuing to find more toys I wanted, as opposed to narrowing down the search for the one I would walk away with, what a problem to have!)
The staff was super attentive and friendly, they were more than eager to get a toy down from a high shelf or display and despite the store being decently busy, service was excellent and the staff was in a good mood. I really appreciated that they didn’t hassle me when I asked to look at a vintage toy and realized I couldn’t afford it at the time (generally I huge pet peeve of mine with sales staff, getting heckled over something you can’t afford is always a bummer). Even after the employee pulled down the toy from a relatively high shelf, he was understanding when I couldn’t pull the trigger on the deal that day, and that made the experience very laid back and no frills.
The only relatively negative thing I would share is the pricing of the items in the store is moderately to decently expensive. I definitely love the feeling of finding a treasure in the store that you normally would not be able to find anywhere else, however, the toys are definitely priced and valued like the collectibles and vintage antiques that most of them are, so keep that in mind. I feel this store is a blast from the past for toy and nostalgia fans, however as MOST items in the store are either vintage, discontinued, collectible, or all 3, the pricing definitely reflects that, so if you’re looking for something just for your kids (or you) to play with, there are more budget friendly options. That being said, I did see a very good assortment of inexpensively priced toys mixed in, so I guess it all comes down to what speaks to you in there.
Overall, very satisfied with my experience and trip to Toy Shack today. Definitely a new must stop and Vegas tradition for sure!

Lots of really cool vintage toys, we have always had a good experience coming here. They do try to push you to buy things, and a lot of it is quite pricy. They have been nice , and we met the owner. He was really fun to talk to.

All I can say is wow and thank you I got some amazing presents for my son. The shop was full of all different toys and collectable items. We got some transformers that were limit editions and some new releases. I would recommend this shop to everyone.

Tell employees not to touch peoples husbands. This girl walked up to my husband with my 4 year old in tow and rubbed him from his shoulder down his chest to his private area. My husband moved away and she came back up and did it again. My husband was shocked. And she ran off when she saw me.

You’ll love it if you found that one, childhood memory of a toy. Otherwise it is a crowded, dark, somewhat dingy toy store with mostly old, classic toys. Locations is at the very end of the Freemont Street Experience, around the corner from the Heart Attack Grill. It’s somewhat hidden around a corner. Look for the sign.

After watching many episodes of Pawn Stars, I had to go see the Toy Shack. It was o.k. but I expected more. Maybe I had my sights set too high. I hoped to see more of the old vintage toys from my youth to bring back some nostalgia but instead just found endless displays of Star Wars and Matchbox stuff. Fifteen minutes is about all you need to do this store. Can't tell you if the staff were friendly or not as they totally ignored us, not so much as a hello, and just visited and chatted amongst themselves.

I am from Tennessee and had waited over 10 years to visit the Toy Shack to hopefully purchase some of my childhood toys that are hard to find. It was 12/22/16, pouring down rain, no customers in the store. My teenage daughter and myself eagerly entered the store with happiness and fun filled excitement to finally be there and look at all the classic toys. I pulled my rain jacket off, folded it and sat it down on top of the carry baskets next to the door, again the store was empty of customers. As I walked away a young Mexican pregnant female running the store firmly stated to me, You cannot leave that there & laughed at me in a disgusting & demeaning way, I said oh I'm sorry but you didn't have to laugh at me like that, then she stated again, you cannot leave that in my baskets & laughed in disgust again !!, and again I stated you have no right to laugh at me like that & shouldn't do such a thing to a customer. So I picked my jacket up and proceeded to uncomfortably try and enjoy my visit in the store. All the while she had her head buried in her cell phone walking around the store & eating while eagle eyeing me the whole time. I touched an R2D2 on the counter and she immediately scolded me for doing such, biting my lip, I then asked her to get the item to let me see it in her terms more or less and she loudly stated, "you aren't going to buy it" and refused any other help in my curiosity in a possible purchase. Now I am 56 years old, most likely twice her age with an amazing credit rating & no debt with a very good income being pushed around & bullied by a minimum wage immigrant lucky to be working at such a noted reputable place. I asked about some 1970's GIJoe pieces and then she adamantly stated to me that she will not help me, that I was being rude to her and I should just leave right now. I wasn't rude, I just confronted her brashness towards me then continued to look around the store. A Very bad experience because of an immature employee with her cell phone & food being more important than welcoming an eager money spending customer in the door with a smile. I really wish the owner would have been there to help me from the start so I would have had a guaranteed happy experience and he would have made some money on a rainy dreary day and I would have had about $500 of new toys to reminisce with.

Came here again to see what was available. Checked out the 80’s animation cells which were cool, staff offered me a discount on them, which I thought about. When I asked about the LEGO 3rd party minifigs, I was quoted $10 which is a rip off as the go for $5 at any convention. Came in the next day and the staff member just kept shouting $10 at me which was annoying as I was gonna spend some $$ here but I’d rather go to either of the Rouge Toy locations as they have better selection and prices.

We visited the Toy Shack as we have the last 5 years. After purchasing a Disney snow globe and paying for postage and insurance, and being assured it would be packaged well. It arrived delivered and BROKEN! After contacting the shop and being assured it would be refunded, I have now been waiting a week or more for this to be actioned. They keep saying we have to claim with our post, when clearly it states on NZ post website(and after visiting 3 post shops who stated) it must be claimed by the sender. VERY disappointed that they have not refunded nor seem to be concerned that it was broken! Actually the guy who packaged it said I would laugh as everything he sent marked fragile arrived broken so thats why he didn't put fragile on mine, well i'm NOT laughing! I recommend that if you shop with them DO NOT get anything posted because they don't care. Come on guys show some respect and issue the refund as promised!! Allie, New Zealand.
