- Yuji SZushi, Japan103 contributionsA good hotel except for being quite far north of the city centerI visited Las Vegas to participate in Re:invent 2023 and stayed here for 4 nights. The room was an average American city hotel with no particular issues. The event was held in the center of Las Vegas (around the Sphere), so I had to walk about 40 minutes every day, take the monorail, or take Uber. Although this is a problem, there is a drugstore nearby, which is convenient.Visited June 2023Traveled on businessWritten April 13, 2024
- Tabitha J7 contributionsFirst time in Vegas! For my first time in Las Vegas I really enjoyed my stay at the Sahara hotel. Check in was a breeze but that depends on the time of your arrival. My room was clean but did have a heavy smell of cigarette smoke upon arrival. Nothing air freshener didn't fix. There is a walgreens across the street for all your needs. I would have given my stay a 5 but the restaurants inside close relatively early during the weekdays. Also they were not serving food by the pool during the weekdays as well. For the price I had no complaints.Visited April 2024Traveled soloWritten April 16, 2024
- reesecatBoston, Massachusetts251 contributionsNice updates but broken elevatorWe had a nice stay at the Sahara Las Vegas. The hotel is not in the best area but security staff was visible outside and a key card is required to activate the elevator. We did not feel unsafe. The rooms in the Marra tower are beautifully updated. Our king room had plenty of seating, room for luggage, and a nice sized bathroom. The room has a cooler unit, not as cold as a mini fridge but it kept our water chilled. The walk-in shower had two shower heads, a rain shower and a hand held. The bed was not as comfy as I would have liked but the pillows were very good and full. My biggest criticism and reason for knocking off stars is that the elevator in the self parking garage was out of service our entire stay and according to locals, it’s been out for months. We had a rental car and were grateful to have free self-parking but could not carry our luggage up and down the nine flights of stairs, to level 4, which was the lowest level available for self parking. In temperatures averaging 110 every day, this was a real problem for us. Everytime we wanted to leave, we had to send someone younger up to drive the vehicle down for us. We would not consider staying here again unless the elevator access is working.Visited August 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten August 2, 2024
- Wendy CMontgomery, Alabama520 contributionsYearly trip with my husbandOne of the cleanest hotels I have ever stayed in! They are constantly cleaning the floors and the walls. Every area I visited was spotless. We stayed in an Alexandria King Suite and it was a corner room and was huge. The bathroom was spa like with a huge walk in shower with a window in the shower overlooking Vegas. The views of the mountains from the bedroom window was breathtaking. Having the large mini fridge was a plus. The monorail is easily accessible right in the back of the hotel. We used it daily. There are a variety of wonderful restaurant options on site. We didn’t have a bad meal at any and even ate multiple times a a couple. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The ease of being picked up and dropped off by an Uber was a big plus!! This place is a jewel and I honestly don’t think we’ll ever stay anywhere else.Visited November 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten November 20, 2024
- Michael H1 contributionGreat experience at The SaharaStayed at The Sahara the past 3 days and it was very enjoyable! When I checked inThursday at noon they said my room wouldn’t be available till 4 or after but the desk clerk said there was another room available for a 25.00 upgrade. They checked in my bag and by 1:30 I was in my room. Everything was clean and elevator to the 22nd floor was easy each time I headed down. After reading some negative reviews about the surrounding area I was a bit concerned but never once did I feel that is was dangerous. I got a 3 day monorail pass and that made getting around The Vegas Strip extremely easy and safe the entire time. I would definitely stay there again as it was quiet and the resort was spotless….. kudos to the employees of The Sahara!Visited January 2025Traveled soloWritten January 11, 2025

Vegas is a ghost town, mostly. I took a cab from the airport and I was the only person taking the only cab. Unbelievable. Check in at the Sahara was easy. Room was nice with lots of mirrors. You can get the infinity effect with a photo in the facing mirrors which is pretty cool. No room service due to virus, but you text them as we did and the new towels came quickly. Not all elevators working so at certain times-check out and early evening-there was a wait. They check your temp at check in, and masks are required. I got really tired of wearing a mask, and not being able to sit the bar and play video poker. But that was not the fault of the Sahara. Overall, we had a good time and enjoyed the Sahara. Pot store next door and the crowd and smell in the elevator implied that it was not going unpatronized. A word of warning-In the current Las Vegas you can't count on walling out of a casino and getting a cab so mobility is a factor to consider. And the monorail was not running, which is one big reason to stay at the Sahara. Once again, not the Shara's fault. Basically, the Sahara a nice hotel with a smaller casino and somewhat isolated these days. But if the price is right when Vegas comes back (?) I would stay there again if they had all the elevators operating.

The former SLS is going through a $100M renovation. The remodeled casino floor is very nice. They have all the popular table games and the latest slot machines. They are adding many new restaurants. The problem is the restaurants they have open now have very limited hours. I mean VERY limited. Try to dine after 10pm? It is not happening at this time. They have three bars/lounges and only one is open 24/7. They need to market to Las Vegas "locals". I added photos of my latest visit.

Hotel is clean. Location is not ideal however with the monorail stopping at the hotel everything on the strip is fairly accessible. Upon check in notice the room I was booked into was in need of cleaning and maintenance. Front desk was polite and extremely helpful. Moved me rooms without a problem. Staff seem genuinely ready to help. Rooms are on the smaller side compared to the newer resorts. No jetted tub in any room. Overall happy with the resort .

I stayed from 2/18-2/21 in the Marra King. I paid approximately $700 for the room. The room was dirty: An “odor fogger” was on the chair waiting for me as I arrived, the couch was torn with a dirty handprint on the top of the backrest, footprints and hair in the bathroom, some sort of blood stain on the floor mat that was hanging up like new, scuffs on the walls….. I’m not usually one to complain, I pick my battles but c’mon. I called the desk to let them know. They said they’d make a note in my account so I wasn’t charged for the damaged couch and the “comped” me one night of the resort fee. A 45$ ish comp…..
Because of Covid, house keeping didn’t clean the rooms so everyday we had to request new towels, had to ask for bottles of water because the mini fridges were no longer stocked, again because of Covid, and had to make our own bed when we needed fresh linen. There is also no room service so I highly recommend bring snacks and drinks so you don’t have to try to go down for anything. I mean, it is what it is, but at a 4 star resort, paying as much as we were……definitely not worth the price.
The elevators were not functioning properly. Long lines. Coming down for coffee or trying to run up to grab a jacket would turn into a 45 minute endeavor.
As I was getting ready to go get married, I walked into the bar real quick to grab a soda, I was nervous and parched…. Me and all my wedding dress glory in a bar with only 2 guests at the time, I received a seemingly annoyed bartender, no smile, no warm greeting, just a “$4.50”. I’m not expecting free stuff but it’s Vegas, it was non alcoholic, I was in my wedding dress…. But that’s really just another hint of the service and treatment we experienced.
Our neighbor was given the key to a room that was currently occupied. They walked into someone’s room! They were mortified and only given a $25 comp for the inconvenience.
There was often a smell of sewage as you walked through the lobby too.
Extremely disappointed and will not be returning.

Expect the unexpected, consumer beware a very disappoint experience at a resort that has lowered the bar and is more focused on saving money than the consumer experience. Black mold in the shower, rooms, beds, towels, water not replaced daily.
And above the daily rate a " resort charge"

I recently stayed at the Sahara because my girlfriend recommended it (she plays slots). I played Blackjack waiting for the Texas Holdem game to open up. After loosing of course to Blackjack I get a text telling me a seat is open. I move to the poker area. I play a few hands. Then the worse case scenario occurs, two of of the five players still playing go all in. Seat 6 shows his cards to seat 7 both still active players. The dealer says nothing and the bet turns to me as I fold bc the two players seem to be working together. Then the last card comes our and player 7 wins. I asked the dealer if he would warn player 6 & 7 with a response that he told them not to show cards. This is an outright lie. I'll never return here and plan to check out two days early.

Writing this at 2.40am from 22nd floor with thumping music from the ground floor pool nightclub keeping us all awake. Cannot imagine what it must be like for guests who are closer to the noise! During the day there was drilling all day long which made it unbearable to be in our room. Literally no quiet place to go anywhere in the hotel. It’s like staying in a 3D migraine, just awful. .

In for a 4 night stay and I can say this is easily the most construction I have seen on a operating hotel in 20 years. @ 9:00 am the chipping hammers started in the room above us. The harms way comes from the sound in our room. I looked for an app for my phone to track the db level but did not come up with anything so I am going to say it was a jet engine at take off in our room. I ask about OSHA sound levels and was told that all of the construction personal had hearing protection. We on the other hand had none and the drum effect in the room below construction was tremendous. I ask at the front desk and was told that they had all the required permits and the town was sold out so we could check out if we did not like it. We were offered a free breakfast and comp on two of out resort charges. The damage to ear drums and ringing of the ears is no big deal to the people with hearing protection. The hotel has promised no construction Friday through Sunday - We will see. I recommend ear plugs for guests this winter!

The hotel staff knew nothing of the surrounding area, pool hours, bus pick up point, etc.. They wanted to charge me extra for changing linens during a 4 night stay and any other normal room cleaning! The pool didn't open until 10 am, and the pool was totally enclosed with shade by 12 noon. Resort "FEE" was exagerated and really had nothing to do with the property...it was NOT a resort. Don't waste your time on this property.

Get into the room in the evening and there is no wi-fi. Front desk tells us someone will be there in an hour and we can't leave the room till they get here. We asked for a new room b/c I knew this wasn't looking like it would go well. They said nothing is available. We sat around for an hour and fifteen minutes, no one shows up and we call again. This person says IT isn't even working at night. They will be there at 7am instead. So we sat here till midnight for nothing. We call at 7am to double check and this guy says that IT doesn't get in till 8am. Then he says that his computer has wi-fi so it's obviously working. What??? Now it's almost 9am and still no one here and we can't check the office computers to get anything done. The front desk is incompetent.

I need some recent reviews of the SAHARA. If you have recently gone; how was it ? Was it clean ? How was traffic?
I keep finding mixed reviews on everything.
Thank you!!

Taking my wife and I here for our 10th wedding anniversary. We don’t travel a lot and we wanted to experience Vegas once in our lives. We plan on staying 4 nights. We would like to plan our week so what are some restaurant recommendations and to do recommendations for this hotel or area?
Written May 27, 2019
I would stay more centered on the strip, down near the linq wheel.
Soooo, much to do and eat down near the center of the strip. Your 4 days will go too fast .
Be sure to book in some shows for the evenings.
Have Fun

its too far from anything if you are planning on walking the strip, its a great spot but you would need to taxi or uber around to get to the middle of the strip
