First they won’t try and sell you anything at all. You are there to taste, listen, and learn.
The tasting was fantastic and you learn a new method to taste that is a life changing, when it comes to whiskey. The host is fantastic and does a great job of catering to your taste and keeping you interested in engaged about the entire process. Worth every penny. I would recommend you definitely go for the 10 tasting over the five.

Before we participated in this tasting, my husband and I considered ourselves to be whiskey experts. We were so wrong! From the very start, this experience was top notch. We called in the late afternoon to try and get in for a tasting later that night. I had to leave a message on what sounded like someone's cell phone, so I wasn't sure I would get a call back. About 30 minutes later, I did get a call back, from Adam. He answered all of my questions and asked some of his own, in an effort to guide me towards the tasting that would be the best fit for us. Adam really knows his stuff! Our tasting was with JD and we were so lucky to have him all to ourselves. No one else was at the tasting with us, so we got an extremely personalized experience. We left SO HAPPY, and learned SO MUCH about whiskey and how to drink & appreciate it. This experience is DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED for everyone--not just people who like whiskey. JD was so much fun and we had a great time with him. He is VERY knowledgeable! The next time we are in Vegas we will definitely go back for another tasting with The Whiskey Attic. One time was not enough!

This was an entertaining event! JD was a great host with some showmanship. Very different than what I have experienced before. This is NOT a sales pitch for a particular brand or type. They do not sell bottles for take away. This is a fun and educational way to help find the the types of scotch or whiskey or whisky ( you will learn the difference) that you like. A great small group experience. They can accommodate up to 30 people. I will be back

If you like to use your cell phone light to read the menu and yell at the person across from you at the table this might be the place for you. Slow to take your order, slow to serve.

JD talked too much about himself and too little about the differences between the Japanese whiskies we tried, except their cost. JD was also too negative - His opening was basically: Everything you've been told about whiskies is wrong and we're the only ones who are right. He contradicted Mitenbuler's "Bourbon Empire," for right or wrong.
His advice on the mechanics of how to drink a whisky was helpful as was his talk on the history of whisky.
We booked the tasting (online) for the Japanese whiskies because the other tastings were not available at the time we wanted, but the table had plenty of available seats and others were tasting other whiskies.

We has an amazing High Roller Tasting with host JD! His vast knowledge and great sense of humor made the experience both educational and fun! This was our second time to visit and we learned more about Whisky than we had the first time. Highly recommend when you're in Vegas!

Please do this when in Vegas! My wife and I did the High Roller package, and it was awesome! JD was fantastic! He asked some very pointed questions, then built our tasting around our answers. So full of knowledge, anecdotes, and great times. Would definitely recommend, and love to do again!

We had an afternoon with nothing to do and found this on the internet. It was a fun, unique experience. I booked the 10 whiskey sampler for my husband and even though I am not a whiskey drinker I tried the five whiskey sampler and actually found a couple I liked. They give you a history of whiskey and then try to find out what tastes you like. After a lesson on how to taste whiskey we started to sample different types of whiskey that he thought we would enjoy. Overall a lot of fun and something different to do.
It is in an odd location - about a 10 minute Uber from the strip and in a more industrial type building.

We had fun, but would have preferred to have the actual tasting of whiskey more intertwined with the lecture portion. We didn't actually taste a whiskey until an hour into an hour and fifteen minute class. It was a bit too much information all at once.
The personalized tasting profile means that they ask you a series of questions and then pick some whiskey for you. The result in our case was underwhelming. It was fun nonetheless and very informative.

Fun and enlightening afternoon. We did the VIP Whiskey Tasting Experience. JD was friendly and knowledgeable. He picked some nice whiskies for both my husband and my differing likes. We found some new favs and enjoyed the new way of tasting whisky. What a fun way to spend an afternoon in Vegas!

Is this a bar where you can go in for a drink or 2 or is it a tasting only which it appears to be from their website at a minimum of $75 pp.
Written June 12, 2019
It is not a bar. It is more like a class that you have to sign up for and then have a tasting. They chose the drink based on answers you give to the questions.
