Bugs in the room
Sep 2021 • Couples
Check in was super easy we were upgraded to the newer tower in the hotel. We had a three day booking, after the first day in the Hotel we noticed there were a lot of gnats in our bathroom and in the room itself. Upon the morning of day two I went down to the front desk to alert them of the bugs in the room they made a note to housekeeping. When returning to our room later in the day the gnats were still in the room, it was obvious that housekeeping had came in a serviced the room. We waited for the next morning because pesticides aren’t instant upon waking there were still gnats. Upon checkout we notified the front desk again about the bugs on the room and told them I think the bugs are coming out of the sink, there response was to let housekeeping know. Yes I have photos and videos but your website won’t allow me to upload those they’re telling me my screenshot is too big of a photo .

Awesome experience and will definitely return!

Stayed for 2 nights, and it was more than expected, everyone was so polite and the room was clean. Was close to Freemont Street so a bit noisy to sleep but hey we're in Vegas the city that never sleeps!
So regardless we slept and the Freedom Beat had some great food. The pool party was awesome!

Place sucks
The one dollar blackjack is only at one actual table. The rest is video. All the employees I encountered were very rude except the waitresses. Parking garage was filled with drugged up homeless people and smells like piss.

Staying Downtown
Apr 2021
What I did not enjoy was their method of billing and crediting. Charge me for the room and be done with it. The Front Desk lady, April, was OUTSTANDING, kind, helpful and knew her stuff. She is a credit to their organization.

Comedy club open now! First show we've seen in 7 and a half months! They had everybody social distanced and wearing masks.

Very nice and safe for Downtown

This Casino/Hotel was once the old Lady Luck built in 1964. It has since gone through a whole new renovation in 2012. Everything on the Casino floor looks and feels new, they've kept a retro look which is nice. Pool area is really nice it overlooks Fremont and always has music and cocktail waitresses. Rooms are also nice, they're clean and safe. I like that this property is off the Fremont Street so it's a little more quiet, but not even a block away walking distance.

If You're a Hotel Snob Like Us, Steer Clear!
Mar 2020
Hubby and I booked this place based on the pictures and reviews we'd read. We typically stay in other areas of Las Vegas but, for our anniversary, we decided to try staying downtown. The information we'd read made us believe this was one of the better hotels to stay in and around the Fremont area. Oh, boy were we wrong! First, we were less-than greeted by our check-in lady, Celeste, who was barely able to look up to talk to us. She seemed apathetic and was more interested in what some male staff member was telling her than taking care of the guests who were coming to stay at her hotel. Celeste, you are a representative of this establishment and the first person a guest will see when checking in. You set the tone and the tone was abysmal. Thanks.

Next, we walked into our very dark room. Even with the curtains open, our view from room 720 was of the very tall building northwest of the hotel, adjacent to Hogs & Heifers, Triple George Grill and Pizza Rock. Very little light was ever in the room at any part of the daytime. I suppose if you're going for wild nights and late sleep-ins this is fine, but when I come to Vegas, I want to get every drop of sun I can.

The room itself was a huge disappointment. We thought we were getting "swank" but what we ended up with was simply a step above a Motel 6 (at least with a Motel 6, you'd get a mini fridge or a microwave). The carpet was dingy and covered in crumbs. The walls had foot prints on them (really? footprints on the walls?!) and why on earth was there an individual false eyelash stuck on the counter in the sink for the entire duration of our stay (see my photo)? How long had it been there? I never moved it, just to see if housekeeping would catch it. Nope! They never did. I also noted that the bathroom walls were covered in "something" drippy (maybe blue soap? Who knows.)

The shower has a partial door so, be prepared to come out to dampness on the towel they provide you as well as the floor itself. No coffee maker in the room, but you do get an iron and an ironing board (we never used it). I also looked for a pad and pen, when I needed to write down something and none could be found. Isn't that a basic staple for a hotel room - a pad and paper by the phone? I guess things have changed.

Because it's just a block away from the Fremont experience, be prepared for loud, late nights. We weren't upset by this, due to the location, but definitely be aware if you're not up for the noises. The beds and pillows are nothing to write home about, either. The gym? A few pieces of equipment shoved into room 515 - hubby was pissed! If you're gym is being renovated, just go through the renovations and alert your guests that the gym isn't available.

On the plus side, the lobby is beautiful and we did enjoy what little time we spent in the casino. They appear to offer happy hour options at the restaurant from 2:00 to 5:00pm. There's also a coffee shop and a bar.

Overall, I wasn't happy with my experience. Hubby and I would spend most of our time away from the room which, granted, if you're on a trip seeing the sights that's fine but it should still feel like somewhat of a refuge after a long day. Avoid this one.
