Wow! What a brilliant day!
Our tour guide 'Alfonso' picked us up directly outside our hotel.
He kept in touch via text message beforehand.
Alfonso was friendly and welcoming.
We had a small group tour of 4 (plus tour guide).
The vehicle was comfortable and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was as advertised, and we could choose from the menu ourselves.
Lunch was a delicious sandwich, which we chose the filling, plus extras.
We stopped for a snack / toilet break en route, and we needed nothing throughout the rest of the day.
We took the tour, which incorporated the 'Welcome to Las Vegas' sign, The 'Hoover Dam', The 'Skywalk', and various viewing points at the 'West Rim' of the Grand Canyon.
Alfonso's knowledge was so impressive and vast. He provided an interesting and varying commentary about the areas in which we passed along our journey, as well as accompanying us when we were at the areas on the itinerary and helping and guiding us all the way.
He had special permission to take his vehicle inside the West Rim grounds, where only the 'West Rim' shuttle buses and a very limited number of private vehicles are permitted.
This itself was worth its weight in gold, as the queues for the shuttle buses at certain areas were quite lengthy.
By having our tour guide and his vehicle close by all the time, it meant no time was wasted waiting around.
A major plus point is that whilst we did take some of our own photos, Alfonso also took photos on his own camera phone, ensuring we were positioned for the best pictures we could get.
His knowledge of the areas, views, and positions was like having our own personal photographer all day.
This meant that we were often captured together without feeling like we were burdening another person from the tour to take a photo for us.
Nothing was too much trouble for Alfonso.
He made the day memorable and special. He transferred all the photos to us within 24 hours, along with extra information about where each photo was taken and what was in the photo, and the quality was amazing.
The memories are priceless, and the pictures are such a massive bonus.
He also sent some other photos of the landscapes (with no people in), which he had taken on other tour days with varying weather, which he didn't have to do.
He went out of his way to make our day special, and his personal touch and kindness will always stick with us. He went the extra mile and
we would, therefore, have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Alfonso and the tour we did to anyone.
If we ever go back with other people or wish to do a different tour in the area covered, we would certainly book with this company and ask for Alfonso personally.
A great day out, which will live forever in our memories, and also in amazing images that we will have printed, mostly thanks to Alfonso.
