Our tour left from the Vegas airport, flew over the Hoover Dam and then above the Grand Canyon. Our pilot, Ally, was great, and we opted for the front seat upgrade. There are multiple options for tours, but with a 6 year old, we opted for the 90minute flight only tour. It was an amazing (and quick) way to see the Grand Canyon while in Vegas. Thank you!

As soon as we had booked our holiday to Las Vegas, the first excursion we HAD to book was a helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon. Lots of choices on flight only, flight & landing, flight & walk around the Rim. We decided to take a mid morning flight 10.45. We were picked up from our hotel by a Limo who ironically picked up another couple also from England at the New York New York hotel. After a brief induction by our pilot, we took our front seats inside the very modern and shinny new helicopter. The Pilot and audio in our headphones kept us informed of everything there was to see as we flew over Vevada desert. The scenery was stunning as we approached Hoover Dam and could only marvel at the brilliant engineering derived to construct this structure. As we approached the top of the Grand Canyon it literally took your breath away at the size and beauty of it as the sun shone down on us. The shear size of the Grand Canyon does not hit you until the pilot said " there is the South Rim" and what I thought was a large structure looked like a pin prick in a mountain side !!! We landed down at the bottom of the Canyon to enjoy a Champagne picnic and had plenty of time to walk about and take pics. On our return to the airport the pilot flew over the strip to give us a aired view of Las Vegas and its delights. We would definitely recommend this to anybody who travels to Las Vegas. 🚁🌄🌆

Where to start?
Well - we did not choose the cheapest trip as I thought if we are going to do this, we are only going to do it once, what is important to me?

I knew I wanted a 45 minute helicopter ride rather than a full day bus tour. I knew I wanted to land in the canyon and get out rather than just fly above it and I wanted a private landing site, rather than one that lots of people would be at.
That left me with this trip that was approx $900 for 2 of us.

Now i'm not sure about you, but that is a LOT of money to us but I can categorically say, hand on heart, it was worth every single penny. The pilot is very knowledgable and will point things out all the way there and back. They will rotate you so both families get a chance to go in the front (we were in the front on the way back and think we got the better deal). If you are in the back on the way there, try to be on the left. Most things pointed out are on the left!! He will fly over the Hoover Dam so that both sides get good photo opportunities but I would strongly recommend doing the Hoover Dam on a separate tour, going down into the Dam ($42pp if you shop around!) if budget allows.
On arriving at the Canyon you will feel so insignificant - the history is just so indescribable!
We got 30 minutes on the ground, for a champagne picnic and the chance to just drink in your surroundings and the atmosphere.
It is not enough - but its all you get!
The flight back is over the Las Vegas Strip - another experience in itself.
Such a fantastic day, we bought the $30 (YES $30!!!) official photo to remind us of our day, and a very reasonable GC mousemat for my son for Xmas.

The Third best day of my life!

Firstly our pilot Fred was amazing! He was the best thing about this experience! Paid for bigger helicopter! None available for us when we arrive! Picnic champagne lunch is a joke, crackers, small piece of cheese, special K bar and lollies! Then the limo back has no air conditioning. You pay the big bucks for an indulgent experience and it’s not delivered as advertised, poor form Sundance and vivator

We booked a "King of Canyons" tour with Grand Canyon Helicopters from Las Vegas based on the reviews here on Trip Advisor. My wife talked with them to find out what day/time would be best, and they had us pre-pay for everything. When the day of our tour arrived, they picked us up in a limousine, but while on the way to the airport, they told our driver that our trip was cancelled. Yes, you read that right, they didn't even have the courtesy to call us themselves to tell us -- they had the driver do it. They did not want to give us a refund and tried to insist that we rebook for another day, but after the way they already stiffed us (and ruined our entire day since our trip was scheduled for 12:30pm), we wanted nothing else to do with this company. If I ran my business the way they ran theirs, I would be out of business. Shame on them. Save yourself a headache and book with another company -- so that you'll actually get to go on your trip.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience that you have experienced and assure you that we never want to inform passengers of cancelled events. Without more information on your reservation it is difficult to determine exactly what happened. What we can tell you is that safety is our number one priority and at times unforeseen circumstances, such as bad weather or unscheduled maintenance, can cause sudden flight cancellations or delays. We do our very best to accommodate guests in these situations by booking them on another day or tour and we wish we would have been given the opportunity to do so in this situation. Again, we are truly sorry for the cancellation of your flight and hope you enjoyed the rest of your stay in Las Vegas. Respectfully, Papillon Management

A must whilst in Vegas!
My husband and I did the 3 hour trip, which included being picked up from our hotel in a Limo, the 45 minute flight to the Grand canyon, champagne picnic at the bottom of the canyon, and 45 minute return flight coming back over the strip.
The sights are out of the world, not only the Grand Canyon, but the Hoover Dam and Lake Mead, all accompanied by excellent commentary from our pilot.
It is a very surreal moment to sit at the bottom of the Grand Canyon drinking Champagne.
Definitely a trip of a lifetime.

Paid for an AM flight. Was to be picked up from hotel at 8:30am. Get called at 8:10am and informed that the pilot called off and therefor they had to reschedule our flight for the following day.

Next day, I wake up at 7:50am and call the company to make sure everything was set. Was confirmed we were ready to go. Get picked up and taken to the airport. Once there and checked in, they inform us that something was wrong with the helicopter and therefore we would have to reschedule again!

Our flight home was that day. We had to limit our Vegas nightlife on 2 separate days so we would be able to experience an early flight, and both times this company cancelled on us at the last minute.

I contacted another company as soon as our flight was cancelled again, and this company (Sundance Helicopters) took us right in and gave us a great experience so that we could have the Canyon helicopter tour and still make our flight home.

As a result of the huge inconvenience caused by Grand Canyon Helicopter Tours, we were offered a free $40 picture. Lol, no thanks.

Hopefully no one else gets their Vegas vacation screwed over by this company.

Booked the grand celebration package for our trip, we had already done the flyover at the canyon a few years back and wanted that little extra and this tour did not disappoint! We were picked up at the bellagio exactly on time in a stretch limo and driven to the heliport at mccarran where we had a safety briefing and a very discreet weigh in (for those who may be worried about this you stand on a scale by check in and nobody can see your weight apart from the person checking you in) we got onto a minibus and drove to the helicopter which was literally 30 seconds away! Our pilot was Hans and he was very friendly and put the first time flyers at ease! Photos were taken (you can purchase these at the end of your tour if you wish) and then life jackets on and into the copter! Take off was fab and the clear weather was a bonus after a few cloudy days. We flew out to the canyon via the hoover dam and got some fabulous photos of the scenery. Hans pointed out various sights and was very knowledgeable about the area. We entered the canyon and proceeded to our landing point, we all got out of the helicopter and took some amazing photos and literally were all in awe of this amazing place! Hans set out our picnic hampers and poured the champagne and we chatted with him as we at. We spent approx 30 mins at the picnic site and then we were up up and away for our return. We refuelled on the way back at an airport nearby and made our way back to the strip for our flyover! I can totally 100% recommend this tour, believe me when I say until you have actually seen the canyon up close you can not comprehend its magnitude!! I will definitely rebook this experience if we return to Vegas! Huge thanks to Grand Canyon helicopters and papillon and to Hans for making our tour so unforgettable!

This trip was on our bucket list for our summer trip and I am so glad we did it, amazing morning!

We booked a morning flight with landing and champagne picnic and absolutely loved it. We got picked up from the hotel with a limousine and dropped to the dedicated lounge at the airport.

After a smooth check in we waited for our flight in the lounge and board the helicopter. The flight was smooth and the pilot gave lots of information throughout the trip. The landing in the canyon was spectacular and we enjoyed a nice picnic basket with a glass of bubbly before we headed back.

Great trip, suitable for kids and an amazing once in a lifetime experience.

Breathtaking. Amazing. Incredible. Phenomenal. I can't say enough about this awesome experience. My wife and I have never been to the Grand Canyon and only on a 10 minute helicopter ride previous. This has been the highlight of our trip to Vegas and dare say the best vacation experience ever! Is it expensive? Yes, but is it worth it? Absolutely!!! I would do this again and again. Seeing the Grand Canyon this way allows you to experience the magnitude you can't comprehend visually from one spot. Landing in the canyon and eating lunch is completely surreal. Our pilot George was applause worthy. I haven't tried any other companies that do this kind of thing, but when I've experienced the best, why would I!
