Ellis Island brewery review! Excellent excellent five stars!!!.... The beer selections are excellent the prices are excellent wish I lived closer!... I have been accused of being a beer snob? 🙃🤔 Solid ipas with just the right finish.. not too malty and nicely hopped, imperial Red has a nice subtle alcohol finish wish I could drink more without being on the floor!!!😆

Scotty at the promotions booth treated us with VIP service all the way. He greeted us with a warm welcome, set us up for dinner, and even escorted us to the dining room. And then returned to check on us, while dining. I could get used to this!

I’m a local, born and raised and I’ve been a regular at Ellis karaoke lounge for years. I loved this place despite the occasional extremely rude bartender. Not gonna let some frustrated jealous woman bartender ruin my good times. Since the pandemic lockdown started, I stopped coming because they closed the karaoke lounge. Tonight was the first night coming back. WHAT A HOT MESS!!! The staff is SO RUDE now. They close the Front Yard at midnight on a Friday night (why even have the place?) so the rest of Ellis is now super crowded, wait lines everywhere. I finally got a single seat at the bar and was informed AFTER, not mentioned at the door or when I was seated, that there is now a minimum of $20 tab due if I wanted to stay. Despite my having already bought drinks at the bar outside karaoke. WTF?! This is a dive bar! They changed all of there bar video games to have a minimum of $1 play. Gone are the quarter games. No free drinks while gambling in the front Yard (was there at 10:30 pm before they closed) A friend I came with was gambling and when she finished, I asked the security guard if I could get a table together when one became available so we could sit together. We had already previously been turned away. I was told in a VERY RUDE MANNER that I COULD NOT get a table (despite many seats having been recently vacated that were left open, dirty and vacant for a very long time) and that she wouldn’t tolerate me ‘PLAYING MUSICAL CHAIRS’! WTF?! I only asked a service! She said my friend could wait in line and maybe she would get a seat. I told her I was not playing musical chairs and she repeated that yes I was. I looked her square in the eyes and repeated that no, I was not at this she didn’t respond and I sat back down in my seat at the bar and my friend stayed outside. I sat to write this review and then left as well. Didn’t sing. Felt like I was attacked. The turn over with staff is notorious here. They must treat them terribly and I hope this woman is fired soon. Tonight has almost killed my love of Ellis Island Karaoke. I feel terrible. Update: the male security guard (very cordial) just moved me to a space with two chairs at the bar so I can sit with my friend. Nice, but my happy spirit has been dampened and I just want to leave now. Too bad because there are the most amazing singers here. Will try again another time. Maybe.

I've been going to Ellis Island for years. I love the ambience, the food, the microbrews, the local flair, etc. This was my first trip back, almost post COVID. The Front Yard addition is great. The food was great as always. And I tried every restaurant. I stayed at the hotel for the first time since Ellis Island either bought it or they're allowing their name to be on it. I had stayed there once before when it was the World's Largest Super 8. American Airlines had forgotten to pull our plane off line for maintenance so they put us up here. The next morning the dead bolt wouldn't work and we had to have maintenance come and take the door off the hinge. This time it was worse. I could almost feel the fungi crawling on my toes. Replace ALL the carpet. Even the hallway carpet that looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in days. Tell the two families across the hall from each other to keep their kids under control. Why does the TV periodically go off the air and then come back on? Like about every 20 minutes or so, Put some additional directional signs around the place. I love me my Ellis Island, but Bally's is a mere 10 minute walk away. The perfect distance to walk off that HUUUUGE prime rib. I'll be back but not to that hotel.
