Skiing in Las Vegas? Who knew?

I went to Las Vegas for a convention. I stayed at a nice hotel, had some nice meals, gambled a few dollars, and did my convention thing. But I'd heard they had skiing nearby... read more

We are not skiers but wanted to try the lift. During the summer from Memorial weekend to Labor Day weekend they are open to ride the lift for $12.00 per person. Plus its 30 degrees lower in temperature than Las Vegas. We are definitely going back this summer. It was so beautiful up there, the smell and all the trees.... More

I went to Las Vegas for a convention. I stayed at a nice hotel, had some nice meals, gambled a few dollars, and did my convention thing. But I'd heard they had skiing nearby, so I planned a day to avail myself of it. I was not disappointed. It's important that you manage your own expectations when going here, though.... More

We went to Vegas for Spring Break with plans to go to Lee Canyon for a day or two. We were traveling with our son, daughter-n-law, and 2 grandsons (ages 8 & 11). It was late in the season for the resort, and not crowded at all. They all got fixed up with equipment and ready for the slopes in... More

This is really a beautiful spot winter or summer. Lee Canyon is a small ski area not a destination but a very adequate ski area close to Vegas. We went during the week which is recommended. First impression pay to park hmm. Long walk to lodge ok get locker, no chairs to sit on to change boots. Fairly steep price... More

I spent a couple of days here to kill some time and get out of Vegas during the day. Despite looking at the trail map there's really only 2/3 main runs that are worthwhile if you're a piste basher like myself (keno and the line) but it's not a bad option at all if you want a snow fix, need... we were in Vegas, and LOVE to ski------ the place is great, even though the snow conditions were a bit icy----not much they can do. The drive out there is easy and nice. The workers are all very friendly/helpful, and the slopes are nice too.

My family and I normally go to Brian Head in Utah for snowboarding. We were invited by friends during Valentine's Day and enrolled our 2 kids for snowboarding lessons ages 8 & 12. Some other parents and I complained because there were 2 instructors taking care of 20 kids. I watched in horror as my son fell while snowboarding and... More

Learned from a cab driver that this place even existed. Went out for a afternoon during mid week. It was about 60 degrees and perfect weather. The rental place was nice and efficient. There are no lines for the 2 lifts. I ski so the lift on the left is the one you want to stay on. This is a... More

It is amazing how a business that is open for maybe 4months per year can be so poorly organized. We bought tickets for the snow experience online and got to Lee Canyon around 9:20 in the morning - it took till 11am till we finally had our skis and were on the slopes. How is it possible that they a)... More

Went here on a whim and absolutely loved it. There was fresh snow and the staff were great and really helpful for first time skiing. The only problem for me was th queuing. We arrived at 09:30am and didn't get on to the snow until around 11:30am as had to queue for the equipment hire and then the skis, and... More
