Skiing in Las Vegas? Who knew?

I went to Las Vegas for a convention. I stayed at a nice hotel, had some nice meals, gambled a few dollars, and did my convention thing. But I'd heard they had skiing nearby... read more

I called this place on Tuesday the 9th and we were planning on going tubing on the 13th. I did not receive a called back. We took the chance since looking on their Facebook page and saw that they were open and bought 10 tickets for tubing. As we were driving up to the resort it was snowing. We got... More

Hi Rafael, Sorry for your experience. We do our best to inform everyone to look up the latest conditions through law enforcement. That is by calling 511 or visiting nvroads[.]com. The road leading to the resort is not our property as it is a public road. Yes, the snow makes the resort very busy at the same time makes it... More

There is a fine line between fun and dangerous and, although a lot of fun and very fast runs, bordered dangerous. Staff running the pace of how soon the next tuber came down didn't seem to care if tubers were piling up at the bottom, they'd just send the next one. Tubers crashed into each other along with the employee... More

I lived there in the mid 90's and always thought I would have to drive great distances in order to ski, not true. I was an avid skier before my neck went sour and I thought it was going to really put a damper on my skiing by living in Vegas. Not so ! I have had many a double... More

We are not skiers but wanted to try the lift. During the summer from Memorial weekend to Labor Day weekend they are open to ride the lift for $12.00 per person. Plus its 30 degrees lower in temperature than Las Vegas. We are definitely going back this summer. It was so beautiful up there, the smell and all the trees.... More

I went to Las Vegas for a convention. I stayed at a nice hotel, had some nice meals, gambled a few dollars, and did my convention thing. But I'd heard they had skiing nearby, so I planned a day to avail myself of it. I was not disappointed. It's important that you manage your own expectations when going here, though.... More

We went to Vegas for Spring Break with plans to go to Lee Canyon for a day or two. We were traveling with our son, daughter-n-law, and 2 grandsons (ages 8 & 11). It was late in the season for the resort, and not crowded at all. They all got fixed up with equipment and ready for the slopes in... More

This is really a beautiful spot winter or summer. Lee Canyon is a small ski area not a destination but a very adequate ski area close to Vegas. We went during the week which is recommended. First impression pay to park hmm. Long walk to lodge ok get locker, no chairs to sit on to change boots. Fairly steep price... More

I spent a couple of days here to kill some time and get out of Vegas during the day. Despite looking at the trail map there's really only 2/3 main runs that are worthwhile if you're a piste basher like myself (keno and the line) but it's not a bad option at all if you want a snow fix, need... we were in Vegas, and LOVE to ski------ the place is great, even though the snow conditions were a bit icy----not much they can do. The drive out there is easy and nice. The workers are all very friendly/helpful, and the slopes are nice too.
