Rock of Ages, the "insanely fun" (Time Out New York) worldwide...

Rock of Ages, the "insanely fun" (Time Out New York) worldwide smash hit musical featuring a raucous mix of 28 eyebrow-scorching tunes, is now rocking nightly at The Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino. Set in L.A.'s infamous Sunset Strip in 1987, Rock of Ages tells the story of Drew, a boy from South Detroit and Sherrie, a small-town girl, both in L.A. to chase their dreams of making it big and falling in love. Rock of Ages takes you back to the times of big bands with big egos playing big guitar solos and sporting even bigger hair! This hilarious, feel-good love story celebrates the great rock songs of the '80s including such sing-out-loud songs as "Every Rose Has Its Thorn," "I Wanna Know What Love Is", "Here I Go Again", "Don't Stop Believin'", and more. Parental Advisory Rock of Ages is all about having a good time but you should be aware that some of the costumes, dancing and language might not be appropriate for kids under the age of 14 (kids under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult). Remember, if you do bring them, they'll get to see you rockin' like you did back in the day! AGE LIMIT Under 14 Must Be Accompanied By An Adult Under 5 Will Not Be Admitted Into The Theatre

Show starts at 8pm, door opens at 7:30pm. No big crowd into the theater, no wait line. Ushers are all standby to guide you to the seats. Small theater, all the seats are good seat. Love the state setup, get you into the Hollywood atmosphere. The show is super entertaining!! All the familiar songs in the 80's. We can definitely... More

Although I am not a big Rock music fan, and this is not my generation of music, I loved this show! They managed to walk a fine line between making fun of an era, while still capturing the spirit of Rock music. They did not take themselves too seriously and I found the show surprisingly funny! All the musical numbers... More

Loved this show. Cast were excellent. Good voices and raunchy dancers! They were dressed very skimpy as you would except at a musical about rock and roll and strip clubs! Yes there was some bad language but all done with tongue in cheek. Overall good 80s music and fun all round.

I am 57 and my Wife is 53 and I can tell you we had an absolute ball. We had front row seats and my Wife sang and danced through the whole show. And that is not like my Wife. The Music was great. The story line a little corny but fun. Not for kids because the jokes get a... More

The music was very good. Very good singers and the band was excellent. The only flaw i have with show was the language and the sexual overtones. Did not see any reason for dropping the F bomb so much. Show is not for young children. I will say i liked show for the music my wife did not know a... More

Despite the hubbie not being too keen going to see this we had a great night, the narrator was definitely the highlight of the show, very funny and great interaction with the audience. Drinks were alittle over priced and the stewards were like ninjas going around the place stopping people from using their phones.

I grew up in the 80's and I love the music from this decade. The show is funny, upbeat, and done really well. Both my husband and I loved it. I would definitely go again. We got tickets on Groupon and saved some money.

We were recommended to "take in a show" and spent a long time back home deciding on which one. My husband is a rock fan and we both love the era so after reading some fabulous reviews we booked Rock of Ages. Disappointed is an understatement, Basically there is a lame story running through and some juvenile smutty humour which... More

My hubby and I really enjoyed this show and it was fun to be able to sing along with all the songs from our "era"!! We got our tickets at Tix4Tonight so the price was pretty good and we had great seats--but I really don't think there would've been a "bad" seat in the place. There is a bar and... More

I had high expectations for this show based on the reviews. I was disappointed. The show started out slow for me, and as others have commented it is very raunchy. Frankly I think all the sexual stuff was a distraction and took away focusing on some of the talent on stage. There is a bit of a story line in... More
