This is a recording for his radio show that is aired on Sundays. I was unfamiliar with Dennis and most of his guests that day, but it was still a neat experience to see the radio taping in progress. He had a couple of friends as guests who were quite funny and a couple of singing acts. The last guest was a harpist, whose performance had me mesmerized. I have never seen a harp played that way before. The showed was about 75 minutes. You have to pay $5 to reserve a seat, but it comes with soda or a well drink. If you’re in the area, it’s worth checking out.

Tony Orlando is in town and he guest appeared on the show yesterday. Boy does he still have a great sound. I'm not keen on Dennis' singing, but go to the casino a day early to pick up the free tickets. They do sell out early. You never know who's appearing.

Each week, this local celebrity tapes his radio show from the showroom of the Southpoint Hotel. Tickets are free but are best obtained the Wednesday, early afternoon, for the Thursday taping. Typically, about 6 performers, including whoever is headling on the weekend at the Southpoint as well as several local celebrities, will perform and sit for a short interview.
We always enjoy and find that it is time well spent.

The show is entertaining with a variety of acts from the area. It is a cordial environment, and all the cast on stage is very congenial.

As usual, we attended this Thursday afternoon show twice during our recent concluded vacation. The range and quality entertainers is often amazing considering the price tag - free with slot card. Though neither of the shows we attended this trip were sellouts, I would suggest picking up tickets at the box office on Wednesday after noon

In addition to Dennis and regular Corrie Sachs, we saw singers Niki Scalelra (Cocktail Cabaret at Caesars), Ashley Fuller a.k.a. Lady Soul, Carmine Mandia (Italian American Club), Andrew Heller (Sinatra interpreter) and Denise Clemente accompanied by Marc Love who performed with 4 members of Blood Sweat & Tears.

The second week's guests were equally talented - singers David Halston, Steve McCoy (Tom Jones impersonator), Spectrum (Motown) and Vanessa LeGrand accompanied on piano by Doug Taylor. Comedian Sue Castillo had everyone laughing during her segment.

Prior to each show a drawing for prizes is conducted so members in the audience have the chance to win free dining, hotel rooms and more.

Really!!! The tickets are free and if you don't get them in advance, they usually have some after ticket-holders are seated. It is a live radio broadcast (think Prairie Home Companion) and the host, Dennis Bono opens and closes the show with songs. During "commercial intermissions," the live audience is kept entertained by the host and the guests. It certainly was an entertaining bargain!

The Dennis Bono Show is taped for broadcast in the South Point Casino. The show is
live on Thursday's at 2 pm. You can line up the day of the show but it is best to go to the South Point Box office the day before to get tickets. Free is good.

Dennis sings, tells jokes and has friends and fellow entertainers as guests. This was our second time at the show. Amongst the guests were The Bronx Wanderers and Tony Orlando. The show lasts about 90 minutes. It is very entertaining. After the show
the celebrities are outside the room for selfie opportunities.

The audience is mostly seniors and locals. But everybody seems to be having fun.
