This is a recording for his radio show that is aired on Sundays. I was unfamiliar with Dennis and most of his guests that day, but it was still a neat experience to see the radio taping in progress. He had a couple of friends as guests who were quite funny and a couple of singing acts. The last guest was a harpist, whose performance had me mesmerized. I have never seen a harp played that way before. The showed was about 75 minutes. You have to pay $5 to reserve a seat, but it comes with soda or a well drink. If you’re in the area, it’s worth checking out.

Each week, this local celebrity tapes his radio show from the showroom of the Southpoint Hotel. Tickets are free but are best obtained the Wednesday, early afternoon, for the Thursday taping. Typically, about 6 performers, including whoever is headling on the weekend at the Southpoint as well as several local celebrities, will perform and sit for a short interview. We always enjoy and find that it is time well spent.
