Way cooler than I thought it would be! Well worth the money. We did the package with Polar journey too. Pretty informative!

Good exhibits, interesting fish, but not a great selection...mostly sharks and rays, nor a big exhibit. We did not rush through and were out in nearly 30 min! We felt it was very overpriced for such a small venue.

Really enjoyed the aquarium which took about 30 minutes to go through ( and we didn’t rush). It’s a bit small compared to most I’ve seen and the glare from the lighting on the glacé makes it difficult to see some of the initial exhibits....More

This was a really fun experience. We were able to touch the stingrays. And the aquarium had a lot of sharks, so no matter where you were you were able to see a bunch of them. This is perfect for couples or for a the...More

I've visited this aquarium twice and each time it leaves me wanting to go snorkeling. There's a good variety of fish including jellyfish, octopus and stingray you can touch. There are huge sea turtles and lots of sharks to watch swim all around you as...More

We could not believe that for a $25 adult ticket it took us less than 45 minutes to walk through the entire aquarium. The exhibits are ok. They advertise sea turtles, we saw one. We chose to do this to stay out of some rain...More

If anyone has ever been to Atlantis in the Bahamas and experienced “the dig”, this aquarium at Mandalay is a little disappointing. You can go they the aquarium in about 15 minutes. You did get to see sharks, there were a few giant turtles and...More

This attraction is well worth the price of admission. The aquatic life is just amazing and the Komodo dragon is HUGE! However the main attraction is the underwater wreck where all the sharks are! You will want to take video of it like we did!!!

There is one big snake in an enlarged glass case you walk by. I only noticed it because they had 2 keepers in therw feeding it the day we were there.

Driving through Las Vegas with kids. One activity? (8 Replies)
It's teacher convention weekend next Thursday and Friday. So I'm taking my kids to see my dad in Laughlin. If we have time, which kids' activity would be the best for a couple of hours? The Natural History Museum? The Children's Museum? Springs Preserve? Secret Garden? Mandalay Bay Aquarium? Something else?

As a teacher you probably wouldn't make the same recommendation for a 1st grader as for a 6th grader. So are they closer to 1st or 6th grade?
Museum and sight seeing times (5 Replies)
I'm going to be in Vegas September 11 through 16. I want to cram in a bunch of the museum's while I'm there, curious about how much time I can expect to spend at them. I plan to see: The mob museum The atomic testing museum Hoover dam tour (driving myself, no bus tour) Mandalay bay aquarium. Going at an average pace, any idea how long I should plan to spend at these things?

2-3 hours is plenty for the Mob Museum. I think we spent about 2:15 there and we read a decent amount of the material.
