- Lord & Lady JeavonsLouth, United Kingdom393 contributionsGreat value for moneyThis is one of the smaller hotels in Vegas and if you want glamour then this isn't the place for you, however, that said it was a good enough room with plenty of storage for our clothes, a kitchenette with a coffee machine, coffee pods, creamer and sugar, microwave, fridge and water, toiletries in the bathroom, hairdryer and iron. It was clean and housekeeping did an excellent job. The pool was quite small and basic but it was clean and fine. There was a room to print out our boarding passes or to do anything else we might have wanted to use a computer for, and there were vending and ice machines. The hotel was not expensive, had no hidden costs or resort fees and everything in our room was included in the price. There was a casino with a bar that was not expensive compared to other hotels, although the barman in the evening was extremely grumpy. There was an Outback restaurant on the premises which was nice, a Dennys, and a Wallmart. The hotel was in a good position right on the strip and in the middle of it all. The negatives were small in that it had a tiny reception area which meant always queuing for anything, and the room was a bit dark and had no outlook, but hey! Who goes to Vegas to hang out in their room?Visited September 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten October 17, 2023
- Djaye13 contributionsGreat Location on the StripI took a long time selecting my hotel for my trip of a lifetime to vegas, I didnt want a hotel that you had to walk a mile to get out of it and that was the reason I selected this hotel. Best decision I ever made, the hotel and pool are small but it was great, I walked down the stairs one way and was on the strip walked down another way and was in the pool, always had the pool to ourselves. The bar was well stocked with reasonably priced drinks, the lady was always around for our free drinks while gambling. Plenty of choice of food if I didnt want to go far. Staff really nice and always offered good advice. in the middle of the strip next to the big hotels (so glad I didnt stay in them) no resort fees whole holiday so cheap. Any bad review is from someone who didnt stay here just used it for gambling as it doesnt look pretty, but its clean had a fridge and coffee machineVisited June 2023Traveled with familyWritten February 5, 2024
- Happy Traveler283 contributionsSome pluses and more negativesGreat location and reasonable price. The room is quiet but the air conditioner is LOUD. Elevator was not working. Hallways/starways need cleaning. I picked up the phone in the room to ask a question and the cord fell out. Then I looked at the phone which was filthy. The tile floor in the room needs to be moped. The bed was HARD, but the pillows were comfortable.Visited February 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten February 24, 2024
- Mick R91 contributionsGreat service and great value. We went here while staying in Vegas - excellent bar and amazing prices for Vegas. $60 for drinks in Caesars - same drinks $15 in Casino Royale. Bar staff were superb and service was second to none. It doesn't have table service as stools are around the bar only.Visited February 2024Traveled with friendsWritten March 11, 2024

We saw some things at Casino Royale that were done to clean up the area near the South Entrance....they got rid of the tacky t-shirt racks, and the ice cream & sub shop, and what remains looks a lot cleaner and more streamlined. We were definitely disappointed by the fact that they totally got rid of the $1 Michelob Lights. The bartender even acted a little snarky when we asked about them. The table games are very few & far between and don't open until 11 am. When they did open, the only craps table was a $10 minimum. For $10 we could play at someplace much nicer. There were many fewer video poker machines, and we didn't see any nickel machines like they used to have. We did win $40 on one of their penny slots, but unfortunately, due to the other concerns, we did not return again for the rest of our trip. Which was kind of sad, because we used to spend alot of time there.

It is recommended to avoid this venue (unless it's solely to obtain $20 rebate)whereby the upgrade to 2 stars.
Be sure to ✔️ your Rewards card to see if $ is reloaded. (Our's wasn't.) The front counter lady(only one who was welcoming) will reload upon verification. If you happen to play new electronic solo craps machine (Interblock), there's no rebate although it's technically a slot machine (by industry without a dealer). To summarize our misunderstandings, a worker (limited English)was summoned over after several min. after non-response to "Call attendant" button. She claims in her 30 yrs. of experience that this (bubble 💭 Craps) machine doesn't take card inserts (like yesterday when it did when it wasn't black taped?). Then an unidentified shift supervisor(untagged like worker)came and became uncooperative, because we pointed out another machine said "🖨️ Printer paper out" and "Printer paper low" consecutively! Then things escalated as this firm doesn't want to listen or hear about easily fixed reoccurring issues. These remedies would assist other customers who may not now be forthcoming with this "unroyal" treatment.

We first stayed here maybe 10 years ago and have made it a point to visit every single trip, even if we aren’t staying at the hotel. Just got back from a week long trip to Vegas of which two nights we stayed here at the Casino Royale. Usually it’s a fantastic place hidden away right in the middle of the strip.
This trip though, oh wow.
Let me first say that there’s clearly a problem with homeless in Las Vegas. The entire time we were there they were literally everywhere you walked outside. And that’s our issue and why I felt the need to write a review of this place. Everyplace we went to did an excellent job at keeping the inside of their places free of issues where it seems like this place is the opposite.
As soon as we arrived we hurried checked in and went for a quick bite at the Denny’s they have there. We were sat by a window and noticed security walking by every five or ten minutes so it left us feeling like they really had this place covered. That’s until we finished and decided to play some machines in the casino. Homeless everywhere. No exaggeration we saw at least a dozen as we were roaming around looking for a place to play. Decided to just go get settled in our room and head out to enjoy Vegas later on which we did (Venetian) and didn’t notice any problem people in that casino at all.
We came back to the Casino Royale later on and as soon as we walked inside there was a homeless man sleeping at the machines right across from the hotel doors. Very scary. That was day 1. On day 2 it was much of the same but this time we tried our chances with using the public restrooms in the back by the subway area. BIG MISTAKE. Every single stall seems to have people sleeping inside and there was a guy shaving his head at the sink.
Vegas has a problem it looks , I understand that. But it really feels like this place has these security walking outside where it’s public to try and draw people into the casino. Once you get inside they don’t care about it anymore. Everyplace else we went the streets looked dodgy but the insides were excellent. Something is backwards here or maybe the Denny restaurant is where they get most of their money now? Whatever it is we won’t me staying or visiting here ever again. It’s a shame because we’ve really spent our fair share of money at this place over the past decade.

The Casino Royale, or the "Royale With Cheese" as my brother and I call it, used to be the pace to go for table games, especially craps, if you were a casual/low limit player.
During the covid shutdown they removed all their table games. I sh** you not. It's nothing but machines now. This is a good example of how terrible the Strip has become: terrible gaming conditions where all they care about is dollars per square foot per hour.
Were is not for the fact that the Vegas White Castle is in their building I'd never set foot in the place again.
Kinda sad.

We went on a birthday trip for 2 70 year old women and 2 daughters in there 50s. We stayed for one week and had the best time. Rooms were very nice and had all you need in them also cleaned daily. The casino is also great has food outlets inside at very good prices.also so many other places for eating attached. Also supermarket for any other supplies. We all agreed that we had chosen well. No resort fee or parking fees added to room rate which made it a very good deal. It is in the middle of the strip so close to everything. Would stay again.

I enjoy going to Casino Royal. It is pretty much center strip and is less expensive than the other bigger casinos near by. They have a great players card deal as well. I did not stay at the hotel but would like to in the future.

What can say. Great location on the Vegas strip. Cheap beer all premium brands at $3.00 each. Ice cold. Lots of options at the bar for gaming. NFL on the TV ‘s. Only issue they don’t care all of the games. Limited to local broadcast so that’s not good. Best bet for football is either Harrah sport book or the awesome Caesar Place across the street.

The foot long hot dog was true to size for $2.49. .50 cents for onions but they loaded them on. We got the $20.00 free play when we signed up for the players card. They explained very carefully how it worked, you had to put in your own $20 and when you lost it they gave you a voucher for $20 to use in the slots. I was tired so when I won $5.00 on their money I just cashed out , so I only lost $15. If you won on your original $20 you get nothing back. I thought their slots were pretty lose.

I have just come back from 9 nights at Casino Royale and I can honestly say it is a great budget hotel, I took my daughter who I thought might be disappointed it wasn't one of the big hotels but she said it was perfect, no walking for miles to get out the hotel, no staff trying to sell you something every two minutes and a pool to yourself.
The staff were great, Tina and the other lady on reception whose name I forgot sorry were fab, Tina even walk us to the entrance through the casino, room key needed to access the hotel so unlike the bigger hotels no one can come back with a key card. The casino floor staff were great. The reviews you read here do not reflect my stay at all, homeless in the area yes, the only time I saw one in the casino security moved them very quickly. Plenty of security walking around to make you feel safe if you had any doubts.
This is a great hotel for a central location in vegas right next door to the Ventitan opposite Mirage and Ceasars.

They advertise that the first $20 in play is free. That is not true. They MIGHT give you $20 in free play, but first you have to put in your own $20, lose that, then put in the code for the free play, and put in an extra dollar to get the free play going. So, the first $21 dollars of play is on you, but if you get $20 of free play it's still a pretty good deal. I played, was never ahead, lost my $20 fairly quickly, then got my $20 in free play and lost that just as fast. My friend got lucky at first and turned her $20 into $43 dollars. She kept playing and then lost the $43 dollars. When she tried to get her free play they said she needed to lose another $20 to get it because she had won money. Clearly, they are false advertising. My friend lost her money and didn't get her free play. What does it matter if she was ahead at one point, she was ahead on her own money. So, if you win you won't get your free play unless you lose everything and they keep adding more money. It had been a fun time until that happened.

Is it true you don't have to pay for drinks here if you tip the bartenders.
Written November 3, 2019
Tips don’t matter and have nothing to do with free drinks. Tips are your choice. What does matter is your Gambling play at the bar. If you play the machines at the bar drinks are free. However if if your play ebbs and slows down the bartender may decide to charge you. This happened to us and was unexpected. Basically you ask for a drink and don’t pay and the bar tender puts the bill in a glass on the bar. Out main complaint about this casino was the bar tender took our order and then charged the full price for the drink which we paid. What any other bar in Las Vegas would have done was said” I need to charge you for this one as your not playing enough”. If you play anywhere else in the casino (slots or table games) drinks are free and you typically just tip , if you don’t tip you may not see the waiter often.
Written November 3, 2019
Hey, $3.00 is still a decent price. But, why not just get one from the floor attendants and tip her the $2-3.00. She’ll be happy and you still got the beer. Maybe it’s just me but when I’m in Vegas I intentional tip the floor wait staff well.

Does Casino Royale still have $1 beer at the bar? If so what flavor?
Written November 7, 2017
Michelob Light for sure, because that's what we always get. Not sure about other flavors. We were just there in July and they still had it. Bartender once told us they sell more Mich Light than any other drinking establishment in Nevada (duh!)
