About
Defending the Caveman is a hilarious look at men and women in relationships. Couples leave the showroom having fallen in love all over again. It's Broadway's longest-running one-person play, and is now Las Vegas' longest-running Broadway show.

My girlfriend and I received free tickets from “Marriage Can Be Murder”(great show!!! Must see!!!) which we saw right before this show. This show is entertaining and informative but not a laugh out loud type of show. I’m glad we got the free tickets as I don’t think it’s worth $30 per ticket. There definitely are better shows to see in Vegas.

One of the worst shows in Vegas

The average person at this show was 85 years old and you need to be drunk to laugh at the jokes. The guy talks about the difference between men and women, thats it. The jokes are from the 90's and I ended up walking out 20 minutes into the show. The main joke is how they can charge you 30 dollars for this piece of crap. This show is like watching Jerry Seinfeld but with no jokes. It is all observations

We'd read the previous views do our expectations were low but it was included on our LV pass so we thought we'd give it a try. Unfortunately, it was as expected. The guy delivering the material has learnt it by heart and is very professional on stage. However, the scripted delivery makes the jokes fall flat. And the jokes aren't even funny.

Pathetic

I saw Defending the Caveman 25 years ago. It’s a hilarious comic bit everyone should see. But not at the D Las Vegas. The small room and low budget production would have been fine with me. But the comic could not remember his lines and that ruined it. The first time he said “Troy what’s the next part” (to the sound guy at the back) we all thought it was part of the show. But no, it happened about 8 times before he just gave up and did general comedy having nothing to do with the caveman show. It was very disappointing. Definitely go see Defending the Caveman somewhere else.

Waste of time and money

This is in my top 3 worst shows I've ever seen in Vegas. There were 10 people total watching this show. I understand why. Disappointed that I paid money and used time on my vacation for this.

What a horrible evening.

For starters: you have to stand in line against a wall in a hallway with little air conditioning for over a half an hour before they let you into the small showroom. Then you get in and are escorted to cheap stacking banquet chairs that are dressed up with black drapes so you don’t know that you are about to be extremely uncomfortable for the next hour and a half.

This is the experience you have after wandering around the D trying to find the showroom (unless you get lucky with directions from one of the unfriendly employees (we were misdirected 4 times). It is this small space tucked into a corner by the restaurant on the second floor...this should be your clue that it isn’t that great!

So you have now wandered around to find it, then stood around to get into it, and are now stuck sitting in a hard chair for an hour, what is going to happen——you are going to look at your watch constantly to hope this hour and a half one-man monologue ends SOON! It is not a comedy act, it is a one man monologue...don’t be fooled!

Take your $40 and go do ANYTHING else in Vegas...even give a little bit to several street performers on Fremont street.

Cute show but outdated
Aug 2018 • Friends
Attended this show recently with very high expectations expecting to laugh non stop for the 1 hour and 45 minute show plus intermission. It was cute and there were several moments of snickers from the audience but no non stop uproarious laughter. First I thought it was us. I attended with my my daughter who is about to graduate college and strongly enter the work world and I am married 25 years and a leader in corporate America with a stay-at-home dad as a husband for 21 years. But no one else laughed either. I think there are a million jokes about men and women up for grabs and when well delivered they could still be side splitting. I’m sad we used our money and time together on this show.

As a single person, I was bored.

The performer was interactive and bubbly. I am a single person with no kids. I could relate to 40% of the material, from past relationships. But half of the show was about child rearing. I have no kids, so I was bored.
