About
Drive real earth-moving machines at Dig This® Book your choice of any of our machines: our Caterpillar D5K Track-Type Bulldozer, Caterpillar 3I5CL Hydraulic Excavator, Skid Steer, or Mini Excavator. When taking the controls of our massive machines, we want to make sure that you are safe at all times. We start each session with a quick overview of the safety procedures that we require you to follow while digging. After you pass the breathalyzer test, you get fitted for your super-cool neon yellow vest and hardhat! (Beware! Your Dig is non-refundable if you fail the breathalyzer test). Our instructors walk you through every lever, button, and thing-a-majig that you need to know to maneuver our machines with the grace of a ballerina. After just a short time of in-cab training, you'll be Operating like a Pro! Come dressed for the outside conditions and please wear hard soled and closed toed shoes.

our son loved it. even with a language barrier it went great. with some help from the father regarding the language, the cooperation between the staff of Digthis and father and son was excellent. Confidence was soon there. afterwards received a certificate, which our son still talks about with pride.

By far the best thing we did in Vegas! Celebrated our 20th anniversary playing in the dirt with our amazing instructor Alex! Alex earns his own gold star for patience, humor and just having fun! We will definitely bring our kids next time (or not) and wouldn’t come back to Vegas without visiting this place again. Makes you really appreciate all the hard working people who drive heavy machinery. Just a great overall experience trying something new and having a blast! Thank you!

My father who is 89 mentioned that he always wanted to operate big machinery to dig holes. We asked him why? He replied, So I can fill them back up again! The family came from HI, AZ, and OR to watch him check this off his bucket list. We all had a great time wearing headsets so we could listen in to the instructions the pro gave him. This was an experience he will never forget and I won’t forget the smile on his face.

We had a field trip with our home school group to Dig This, Henderson. It was a blast! All the kids enjoyed themselves working these big machines. We even had some smaller kids that sat on the lap of the older ones and loved digging holes on the 1.5 Ton Excavator. The staff was super friendly, taught the kids well, and then let them play. We also got some great souvenirs. We are already planning our next trip with another group of kids.

Absolutely a great experience! After watching a safety video participants are taken to their chosen heavy equipment. The instructor and participants wear headsets for communication. The instructor guides you through all functions of the machine ( I operated a backhoe). The tasks I performed were to dig a hole, drop dirt in designated location, fill in the hole I dug, move and stack large industrial tires and maneuver equipment for each task. The instructor was on the ground in constant communication with you however I was inside the cab operating the equipment. It was a blast, would do it again and recommend this activity!

For an individual dig (ex bid dig excavator/bulldozer) how much actual “play” time do you get?
Brenda B

I think I booked an hour. It was broken into 15 minute increments. 15 for learning the controls, 15 for digging, 15 for stacking tires, and 15 for playing basketball and spinning. Overall, it was enough for me. They may have longer times, but since my family was waiting to see other places, an hour was enough for me.

I work for a construction company and would like to wear my own hiviz vest
Would that be okay?

Probably, but why do that? They don't charge you to borrow a vest so you don't save any money wearing your own, and you had to go to the effort of packing and bringing it.
Can my boyfriend bring our little (10 lbs) dog in the spectator area while I do my aggression session? She would be on a leash and he would be holding her the whole time. She’s very docile.

you're more than welcome to bring your dog as long as the dog is people friendly and kept on a leash.

Hi, would you recommend the bulldozer or the excavator? Trying this for the first time.

Hi Maria. That is a question we are still debating among ourselves! We recommend our Mega Dig which allows you to operate both vehicles and you can tell us which one is the best. Let us know if you need any assistance booking it.

How much time total is spent there. If the activity is 90 minutes, or would we be there longer? Just trying to plan around other activities.

Our appointment was at 8 am & we left around 10:30 am. Our instructor allowed as much time as we wanted to take video & pictures. Plus the staff was so friendly we had good conversations with them. We did not feel rushed at all.
