We went to Lee Canyon Resort area in August. The most popular time to visit is the winter when it is a ski resort. In the summer though there is a disc golf course, restaurant and bar, scenic chair lift ride, and hiking.

Visited by probably less than 1% of Las Vegas visitors, Mount Charleston is THE place to go in the summer of Las Vegas. Easily 20 degrees cooler than the scorching LV valley especially at the 9000 foot summer play area which is the ski and...More

Beautiful place! It wasn't bad on a Friday we had a lot of time to snowboard down the beginner hill. Lots of free parking. One thing, if you aren't skiing or snowboarding you are not allowed in the skiing area to take pictures.

It's just over an hour away so it's an easy half day trip. Head up to the ski resort and do a loop on the 156/158. Spectacular views, empty roads, cool clean air, and remnants of snow into the summer. Beautiful desert views from a...More
