Description:

We invite you to experience the Carolina sandhills, tucked away minutes...

We invite you to experience the Carolina sandhills, tucked away minutes from the Las Vegas Strip, in the historic part of Las Vegas. As you begin your Vegas golf round at Desert Pines Golf Club Las Vegas, you will feel transported from the closed-in casinos and overpowering glitz to a place where you can enjoy the fresh, calming scent of real pine trees.

This Dye-designed golf course features over 4,000 mature pine trees lining the fairways with green grass running from tees to pins. White sand bunkers protect large, undulating, bent grass greens fashioned after those at Augusta National Golf Club. Although there are no forced carries, four lakes will add to the excitement and beauty of your round.

Spanning more than 50 hitting stations, the Practice Center is ideal for a pre-round warm-up or a stop to practice your swing. The two-level facility is covered, to protect from rain and sunlight, and features misters during summer months and heaters during the winter for ultimate comfort and enjoyment. Extended hours allow flexibility for golfers, with closing times at 11 p.m. The Snack Bar offers the delicious food served, situated conveniently next to the 10th tee box and within walking distance to the parking lot, the Practice Center provides a chance to perfect your game.

Pete Dye layout in great condition. It is not long but has difficult greens. Drinks are ridiculously overpriced!

The golf course is superb and the service is first rate. However, skip the bar for after-the-round drinks. Standard size draft beer (Miller Lite) is $6.50 per glass. If you buy... read more

We played Desert Pines in July, teed off at 6 am and were finished by 10 am. Expectation is 4 hour play time for this shorter but fun course. "Seashell" sand traps and narrow fairways make this a little challenging but not hard for the average golfer. They have the single rider "surf" carts for rent but you pay more... More

The golf course is superb and the service is first rate. However, skip the bar for after-the-round drinks. Standard size draft beer (Miller Lite) is $6.50 per glass. If you buy beer on the course, it's just as bad: 6 beers for $30. Plan to bring your own drinks. But don't let them see you because apparently toting your own... More

Played here on a trip with 3 other golf professionals and 20 members of our club. The course was in good shape and the staff very friendly and helpful. The course was narrow, but each hole had its own personality, very challenging yet entertaining. In our group we had players of all abilities, and everyone agreed they had a good... More

This must be one of Downtown Las Vegas' hidden gems! When you've had enough of the tables, slots, entertainment, head down to Desert Pines for some reasonably priced golf with a little challenge. Well-run golf slots, friendly staff, course in great nick, with no back-ups (which you often find on holiday golf courses!) suitable for average * Golfers good fairways... More

My Wife and I played here on a Sunday, really enjoyed the course. Pace of play was a bit slow but it was a Sunday with a full field. Typical Pete Dye course with accuracy not power needed.

Desert Pines is the perfect course if you're looking for a fun course that won't beat you up. It's not one of those new 7200 yard monsters that demand your full attention and effort. At 6200 yards from the tips and with a variety of interesting hole designs and features, this attractive golf course is simply fun to play. We... More

We played here on October 29th and the course was in great shape. It's got some great scenery and is a challenging course. Definitely a course worth playing if you're in Vegas. Price was reasonable for the quality course it is.

Nice course. Would never know you are in the middle of the city. Requires accuracy, not length. Watch out for the greens, fast with a lot of contour. Each hole offered unique shot values. On some courses it seems you play the same hole several times, especially par threes. Not here! However, there are better values around. For the price,... More
