- T JPittsburgh, Pennsylvania707 contributionsGreat experience playing the Cloud 9 (Par 3 course), try Nino's Kitchen too!Went to Angel Park during a recent trip to Vegas, played their Cloud 9 course which is a 12 hole Par 3 course during the day (and you can actually play 9 holes under the lights at night as well apparently!) We had breakfast at Nino's Kitchen before we played, service was great and we had two excellent Bloody Mary's and Breakfast Burritos. They also have two full 18 hole courses at Angel Park but we stuck to the Cloud 9, course was in great shape and easy to walk with most holes being under 150 yards. Would definitely play here again next time I'm in Vegas.TJ, glad to hear you enjoyed the Cloud 9 course as well as our delicious food here at Angel Park Golf Club. Looking forward to hosting you next time you're back in town! Give more consideration to senior/handicap players. Lockout feature on golf carts are NOT senior/handicap friendly as they lockout 30 yards (yes yards) from greens. Most unpleasant round of golf...no more Angel Park for our Tuesday foursome.

3 groups waiting on the 2nd hole….easily a 5.5 hour round. Went back to the club house and had lunch. Tried to resume after a few hours only to see the congestion had not improved. Conditions were so-so for the winter

The AP mountain course is trashed as of 8/17, after an extremely hot vegas summer. If you can get to the greens, they are nice, fast, but your not going to stick them much. That's where they focus their water, but not to the extent of making them soft. The fairways are atrocious. By far, the worst fairway conditions in vegas. Don't think they have seen proper watering most of the summer. Good luck reaching the green with a regular shot. We found bump and runs most effective, even from distance. All of the fairways are dried out dirt and don't hold on any slopes. Many balls will go the way of the rocks because they just roll through what would be considered rough. The tee boxes aren't much better, although if your using a tee and can find a flat, even stance, it shouldn't be much of a problem. For a challenging course, these conditions just make it an unbearable round. Do yourself a favor and wait a few months for it to cool off and the grass to recover. It is definitely not worth the price they are charging.

We had a foursome enjoy 18 holes recently. Palm course was in great shape. Great staff to work with - rental clubs were Ping/Titleist/Callaway. Highly recommend - we will golf here again. Price was great - I didn't feel like we were overcharged.

Fun track with two eighteen hole desert courses. There’s also a short course and putting course that offer twilight golf. Excellent bar service with a great menu and full drink selection.

First time golfing in Nevada and the desert. Angel Park did not disappoint. Played the Mountain Course first and it was in excellent condition. Challenging course with lots of elevation changes, desert and canyons to play through. Greens were fast but in great condition with lots of ups and downs. Palm Course was shorter but still a challenge. Fairways and greens were in great condition as well. Very scenic courses. Lots of wildlife as I played. Geese and coyotes to name a few. The clubhouse is nice and the staff were great. Very helpful and courteous. Gave me some good pointers before I started my round. Would definitely play there again.

I just was lucky enough to play eight golf courses in Las Vegas. Here’s how they stacked up:
My #6- Angel Park Cloud Nine
PRO
- Fast, quick, and fun. 12 holes, par 3, that are re-creations of famous par 3 across the world
- My favorite was the recreation of TPC Sawgrass “island”
- Lit so you can play 9 of the 12 at night.
- Bargain
CON
- Reasonable well maintained, but not impeccable
- No Marshall to control pace
NET
- Really fun little course
Please hit “helpful” if appropriate.
Here's the others I played:
#1 (for me): TPC Las Vegas (Canyons)
PRO
- Postcard perfect condition
- Fast play, 3 hr 45 minutes!
- Challenging greens
- Wonderful scenery
- Forward tees made the course accessible for a newer golfer; back tees would challenge a pro
- Replay rate (at least if you book thru JW Marriott) really affordable
- Nice, nice, nice golf carts – fast; great GPS system
CON
- Not close to strip
NET
- If you really love golf and can only play one course – I’d pick this one.
Please hit “helpful” if appropriate.
#2 (for me) Paiute Wolf
PRO
- Toughest of three Paiute courses
- My second favorite course in Vegas after TPC
- Great service
- Exceptional course conditions
- Great value if you play all three Paiute courses
- Beginners can play the forward tees and have a great time
- Pretty fast playing time (4:10 when I was there)
CON
- A bit far from Las Vegas
- Can be windy
NET
- Worth it.
- If you can, play one course in morning and a different Paiute course in afternoon
- I would play this course again anytime.
#3 (for me) Rio Secco
PRO
- I am sure it’s busy sometimes, but the Wednesday morning I played I had the course to myself. On and off in 3 hours.
- Well maintained
- Some really fun, challenging holes that really push you to “go for it”
CON
- None. I really liked the course. I just like TPC and Wolf a little better.
NET
- I’d love to come back here again.
- Probably a little closer to the Strip than a lot of places I played.
#4 Paiute Snow
PRO
- Great scenery
- Some easy holes, some tough ones
- Great service
- Exceptional course conditions
- Great value if you play all three Paiute courses
- Beginners can play the forward tees and have a great time
- Fast play (I don’t have the exact time, but pretty close to 4 hours)
- Marshall was really pleasant and helpful.
CON
- A bit far from Las Vegas
- Can be windy
NET
- Worth it.
- If you can, play one course in morning and a different Paiute course in afternoon
- I would play this course again anytime.
#5 Paiute Sun
PRO
- Good risk / reward choices on many holes
- Some easy holes, some tough ones
- Great service
- Exceptional course conditions
- Great value if you play all three Paiute courses
- Beginners can play the forward tees and have a great time
- Fast play (3:50 for me)
CON
- A bit far from Las Vegas
- Can be windy
NET
- Worth it.
- If you can, play one course in morning and a different Paiute course in afternoon
- I would play this course again anytime.
#7 Bear’s Best
PRO
- Lots of variety; these are a collection of best holes from around the world
- Reasonable playing time, around 4:30
- The greens are a challenge to read. That’s a con for some people, I suppose.
CON
- Well maintained, but not as nice as the other high-end courses here
NET
- While this is a very nice course, it’s pretty expensive too. I think I’d suggest Paiute (esp: Wolf) or TPC Canyons before this course.
#8 Red Rock – Arroyo
PRO
- Least expensive of the seven big courses
- Greens were a lot easier to read than the other courses I played. I guess that could be a con if you are looking for max challenge.
CON
- Didn’t see a Marshall controlling pace; 5 hour play time
- Not in as good of condition as other courses
NET
- You get what you pay for
- If you have a car, drive a little further and pay a little more for Paiute courses or TPC.
- If you are on a tighter budget, this is a more affordable course and it was fun.
Please hit “helpful” if appropriate.

When ever we visit Vegas, at the top of our to do list is playing the "Cloud 9" par 3 12 hole executive course. The longest hole is about 153 yards. It's a rolling hills, links type par 3. Very walkable, however, there are a couple of up hill strolls. Riding carts are available. No 2 holes are alike, and the small greens some surrounded by sand traps keep the play interesting. Walking, and enjoying the views, we typically play in less than 90 mins. Reservations are not required, but may be useful on crowded days. We usually play during the week, teeing gov around 10. Oh staff, and facilities are excellent! We'll return!

Hi, I am very indecisive.
I would like to book a tee time in early August, for the 40th birthday travel I booked for my boyfriend. It's a surprise so I can't ask him advice about what he would prefer, so I'm asking here!
He is good at golf, but I'm not, I played like 2 times in my life, a couple years ago... Will I humiliate him if we join other people to create a foursome, or should I send him play alone with 3 strangers. I'd like to spend the moment with him for his birthday to show him I'm welling to learn, also to see him happy and enjoy his gift, but I wonder if it might not be the best context for me to go play, would he has a better time without a total beginner there? Or could he play my turn sometimes when it gets too hard for me? What would you do in my situation?
Also, I'm from Canada, I wonder if I should book later in the day, I don't know if we can take the heat, it will be our first time there :)
Thank you in advance for your advice!

Hi,
I'd like to ask a couple of questions as lots of websites do not give direct answers. Will the course shuttle come to your hotel on the strip? Cost? Price for 18 on the Mountain course. Club rental cost? Golf would be late morning mid week March 22. Thanks everyone in advance! !!!

I played the Mtn. course in the fall for about $45, it was better than the more expensive course we played the day before. I liked it so much, I'm in town again on 3/11 and plan on playing it again. It was a tough run, some of the holes you have to hit over a canyon. When I was looking to play here, I saw on Golfnow, that there par 3 course was the locals top pick. I think it's only 12 holes, but they light up nine at night. I'd bet it's a $20 cab ride, not sure if they shuttle. We also like to play at the LV golf club, it's around $40 also. Taylor made has a training facility at the South end of the strip. It has a pitch and putt practice 18, driving range, pro shop, and restaurant
