My mother and I were picked up by Charles our driver and our chef. Our steaks were cooked exactly as ordered. Cesar was an amazing guide. We seen a lot of beautiful scenery and a spectacular sunset. I’d recommend this to anyone who wants to get back to nature and forget city life for awhile. My mom has a bad hip and couldn’t get off her horse on her own so Cesar lifted her off and got her some Tylenol as well. Such a pleasure. I’d do it again for sure.

Did the morning breakfast ride. Denny picked us up at the Hotel and also cooked our breakfast after our ride. The horses are well trained for the hour and 10 minute ride on a wide trail into a canyon and back. Eight riders, we only walked. So, not for experienced rider that would like a giddy-up. Although, I was fine with that. LOL! Nice getaway from the casino! LOL!

Howdy Susan! We are happy to hear you enjoyed your trail ride. The morning Maverick Breakfast ride is always popular with our guests. Whether it be the cowboy breakfast or the horseback ride, they both hit the spot! We appreciate you riding with us! Happy Trails~ Jeff

My wife and my 15 and 17 yo kids had a great time with Ceasar and his dad. The horses were tame and beautiful.Once in the canyon the rock walls were breath taking. We did the breakfast ride and we will do the sunset ride next time!

Wild west horseback tour, rearranged pick up point for tour, with an earlier time. Arrived early, got collected by a tour at 1.50 confirmed name, only to learn we were on the wrong bus. Dropped back off at 2, Jason Wild West tour couldn't wait, no effort to assist, no refund. Dissappointed and would not recommend!

We are on Winter Hours, so we have pickups earlier per the sunset. You got on another bus for a different horseback company. The company waited until 2 pm and you didn't arrive. We are on a time crunch per the sunset. We are required to move on. It's important that all guests do due diligence to ensure proper pick-up time for the season as instructed on their voucher All guests are instructed too that we pick up in a white Ford van that says Wild West Horseback Adventures on the side. I understand your frustration at the situation, but it isn't the fault of Wild West Horseback Adventures. Happy Trails ~ Jeff

Got picked up on time and it was 55 mins to our destination.
Pulled up at the ranch and we were all assigned horses. Horses are trained to walk slowly, in a line, so you don’t actually need to know how to ride a horse, you just sit there. You walk out on the horse, then do a u-turn and come back the same way, which was disappointing. It was really cold (we went in jan) so bring layers!
Got back and given breakfast which was ok. Best part was the potatoes served with it.
The highlight, getting to hold the baby goats! They are just gorgeous and unbelievably soft.
Not sure it was worth the $139 price. Maybe $100.

Howdy, We appreciate your feedback and yes it does get cold in January sometimes especially when the winds pick up, so dress accordingly. I'm glad you enjoyed your potatoes and holding the baby goats. They sure are cute! As for the pricing, its not cheap to operate a ranch with horses, insurance, as well as van maintenance and upkeep. The price you pay includes a one hour and a half horseback ride on the Old Spanish Trail. It includes complimentary shuttle service to the ranch with pickup from the Strip properties, as well as return. Pricing also includes the meal. Rest assured, no one is getting rich as this is a labor of love as we share our passion for the Wild West with our guests. Also, in that price you must figure for fees and commissions to third party vendors who sell our tour. We hope this helps explain the pricing and we do appreciate your feedback. We feel our pricing reflects the market and believe its fair with overhead to bring a quality product that thousands of guests have enjoyed through the years. Happy Trails~ Jeff

Awesome. Beautiful. Fun. Highly recommended. Denny picked us up on time. Had a gorgeous ride through the desert to the ride location. The guides were waiting for us with our personally picked horse saddled up and ready. The trail was great and through both the desert and the mountains. Upon returning, Denny had a great dinner waiting for us. Steak or chicken, baked potato, corn on the cob, roll, and apple pie. Fantastic. After dinner we sat by the camp fire and chatted into the evening. Will do again the next time we visit Las Vegas.

Howdy Pardner', We are thrilled you enjoyed your experience with us. It sounds like you had a great time! Denny is a great cook and driver, and is always popular with our guests. In the winter months, the camp fire is always nice to come back to after a ride and get to know each other. When you come back to go horseback riding in Las Vegas, we will be looking forward to seeing you! Once again, thank you for riding with Wild West Horseback Adventures! Happy Trails~ Jeff

I had an all-round good experience. Although the horses are the main attraction, I thought the food was nearly as good as what you can get on the strip, and the guides and cook were very nice. The place might look a little run down, but it fits the “Wild West” theme well. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a break from the bustle of Las Vegas. However, if you are looking for thrills you might want to look elsewhere.

Visited on the 6th May - DONT DO THIS TRIP

The pick up was on time but not friendly .
Then once we arrived the horses had not been saddled up we had to wait another half hour - apparently we were early !!!
Once everyone was ready we set off for the slowest ride ever !!
We were told not to go in front of the guide and we were all in single file - therefore couples and friends couldn't even speak or enjoy the experience together .
No stopping points for photos at all .
From reading the reviews I think some of them are made up - I am a constant reviewer and very honest .
I was so looking forward to this from reading reviews but after Paying £250 for this I was utterly disappointed .
Once we had done the loop and arrived back at camp the food was basic - spud and steak (not even cooked to peoples liking) cheap bread rolls and sweet corn.
The "homemade apple pie" was no such thing !
This then was served up on paper plates and cutlery had to be re-used from the steak !!
There was no sunset and no campfire .
The driver whilst taking us back was very aggressive when no tips were left by customers and we were one of the last to be dropped and as x2 women we felt quite intimidated .
I had read about the porta loo before so did not bother with it.
At one stage the guide did kick a horse from behind but missed and hit my horses head which was witnessed .
Not professional at all and not worth the money .

What they don't tell you on this tour is that you'll actually be going on a very very long van ride and only a very short horse ride. We weren't even the first ones picked up on the bus but it took more than 2.5 hours to reach the ranch and then another 30 minutes before the horses were ready for us. Overall, we spent over 4 hours driving and it was a huge waste of valuable holiday time.

It will be interesting to see if the owner feigns concern by responding to this review because he certainly never bothered to answer my email.

Another point to consider.... The driver stops at an Indian reservation en route, to allow passengers to buy beer or liquor for dinner. The driver himself also purchased beer.... Not very reassuring for his 13 passengers in the van.

Give this a miss....

Warning: If you are an experienced rider and want to get a bit more out of this than "automatic control" of the horse and slow walking, then don't do it.
If you want to see beautiful landscapes, enjoy "the other side of Nevada", and relax on a nice horse carrying you through the countryside - this is it !
Timely pick-up at the hotel, a very friendly driver explaining this and that on the way to the site, well-maintained horses (and dogs), friendly guides and after the ride, very good food - that was our experience.
The horses are obviously nice, well fed and capable, but nothing other than walk is allowed and even experienced riders are not allowed to do anything with them .. that's the downside and reason to only give 4 points out of 5.

Johannes, Thank you for the great review! Glad to read about your experience. The lion portion of our riders are first time or novice riders, and safety is our top priority. For these reasons the trail ride is a walking single file ride. You description was spot on. Most experienced riders that visit us want to experience the natural, rugged beauty of the Southwest landscape. Thanks again for the great review, and for choosing Wild West Horseback Adventures. Happy Trails, Jason
