Not as large as its sister casino at the Wynn but its a decent size with tables for all games and lessons which are taught by patient folks.

Solid high end option at the top of the strip
Somewhat out of the walking distance of the strip but very nice

Encore has always been one of my favorite Vegas casinos. It tends to be less busy/crazy with professional dealers and servers. They still have some 2-1 blackjack tables which are becoming rare. If you stay at the Wynn, that casino is larger and also has more action.
The poker room moved from Wynn to Encore a few years ago. It is beautiful and really well done. Dealers are pretty friendly but the room caters too much to the locals. As a traveler you feel like you aren’t part of the in crowd and the locals are waiting for the fish to play. Because of this, there isn’t much friendly banter.
Nothing against the locals - many make their living playing poker. But many also play the game like they are on TV and take a long time to bet which slows the tables down. The locals are better players than I am, but the Wynn needs to treat the tourists better.
If you want a better poker room of tourists I like Planet Hollywood and even Aria.

I have been a patron of the Wynn/ Encore for around 9 or 10 years and ever since Steve Wynn was ousted I have watched it go down hill. Today I had a problem with a slot machine printing a cash out ticket. I pushed the service button and waited 35 minutes for someone to show up. They have these floor people running around trying to get customers to sign up for a club card. Their like vultures. They totally ignored the flashing light above my machine. Finally a cocktail waitress came by and I commented about waiting for a floor person to show up. She went and contacted someone about my problem and they finally came. They are not concerned about the customer at all. BY BY Encore. I spend a lot of time in Casino's and seen some of the worst service.

We didn't even make it into the restaurant... We're a family of 4... Had reservation at 8pm... arrived 7.50.... table not ready yet... we then opted to stroll around a bit... got very rudely approached by a casino security guard when my 12 year old son and I stopped and watched at the slot machines, without going into the actual gamble area... A guard addressed us very rudely and after I told him that this fuzz really wasn't necessary he called for 'reinforcement' from his peers over his radio system... afraid that I would 'flee the scene', he alerted all his colleagues of the suspect's description...describing me as tall 'bold' guy.... clearly in an attempt to insult me even more... subsequently the reinforcement arrived... 4 additional security guards, including a supervisor... extensive explanation of nevada laws... i went back to the restaurant and informed them my 'appetite' had gone after this rude treatment by Encore staff....

If you are a high roller then this casino is for you. If you just want to do a little slots then don't play here, machines don't even tease you a little bit with even small payouts!

I have been 4 times and I think last week's visit (November) will be the last. It has a very bright atmosphere--mostly red in color. Lots of flowers. A merry go round done up in flowers. Most of the slot machines are Asian and they are difficult to understand--especially on how much is a play. I thought I was playing $2.50 on one machine and it turns out that it took $25.00. Not clear at all and I am a long time gambler. Poker machines are hard to find but there are a few in the back of the casino by D. Donuts. Very tight...not paying out much at all. Difficult to find a slot host to help out with understanding the machines. Last week, they had about 25% of the machines removed and were replacing them. Difficult to find any machines....this entire area was covered in black cloth. Food? Another story. Bro is a snack bar (expensive) downstairs. Upstairs is a full serve restaurant (expensive). Downstairs is their famous (In Las Vegas) buffet (expensive). Now the bar. For the first 3 or 4 months there were no hairs. They didn't want you sitting down, throwing a coin in the machine now and then and drinking. I played at the bar and ordered a drink. When he brought it to me, he said that will be $15.00 and change. I asked if they comped drinks. Yes, you have to play for 10 min. Take it back, I don't want it. The next time I played at the bar, I was told I could have a drink every 15 min. or so as long as I was playing. Now it seems they keep an eye on you. Bar stools installed.

I made the trek down from Caesars to try out the slots. I played for about an hour and never saw a drink server. I had to go to the gift shop and buy a bottle of water. There were very few people in the casino.

Looking for and upscale casino on the strip to stay and play. The Encore is your place. Great couples place to stay. Dining choices are incredible and the staff are all top notch. The Encore theater is one of the top three places in town to catch your favorite band or group IF they happen to be there for a mini residency. Check it out!

A nice casino, but nothing special. Not a lot of people, more at the Wynn. Visited after a show. Not a lot of action at the tables.

Can I use my Total Rewards points at the Margaritaville restaurant? If yes, are the points honored on a 1 to 1 basis. Thank you.

Obviously, Encore Casino has *nothing* to do with Total Rewards or the Margaritaville restaurant.
