- Sara W57 contributionsOkay ExperienceFor the money, this show was entertaining. No food options like most LV shows and the bar opened really late (when they seated us). The theater isn't really nice. The show itself was okay, he is funny. I would not go again but was worth the ticket price. This is located within the mall at Planet Hollywood and is easy to find.Visited February 2023Written February 8, 2023
- SammalaSan Diego, California6 contributionsUnimpressed, not “skeptical”This show was not great. Save your $25 and go see Nathan Burton instead. That show is phenomenal. We’ve been to lots of shows like this in Vegas and it was the worst one. He did the same “mind reading” index card bit like 5 times, and the same “pick a word on a page in a book” that all of the other mentalists do. The audience was forced to clap because we weren’t impressed with what we were seeing and he called the audience “skeptical” when really we were just bored. He used nail guns that clearly had a switch on them, and used “duct tape” on his face which would have actually ripped his skin off it it was real duct tape. Overall I was bored and unimpressed but for $25 I can’t be too mad, it kept me out of the casino for 1.5 hours.Visited March 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten March 22, 2023
- pffchickSedona, Arizona53 contributionsGood showHis show regarding his tricks are good. He explains part of what he does is pick up on movements and statistics of how people react. He does have a comedic component but it is more dirty joke side than wit. If you aren’t into hearing about balls and sex jokes, then this isn’t a show you want to go to. Also, keep that in mind about your kids. You’re not supposed to take kids under 12. If you want clean, magic, humor, check out the Matt Franco show.Visited November 2023Traveled with familyWritten November 23, 2023

We went to see the Mentalist on the recommendation of a friend. It is in a venue small enough to be part of the show even if you don’t go up on the stage.
Great personality and a well thought out performance. I would recommend you also read his books, he is very open and the path he took to becoming a Las Vegas headliner is very personal and inspiring.

Mentalism is an art that is easily done badly or with little entertainment value. The Mentalist is the best presentation of this genre that I have ever seen in my 50 years in the live entertainment industry. Gerry McCambridge is not only amazing, but funny and engaging as well. I highly recommend this show for anyone who is looking for an interesting and unique experience.

The show was fun and entertaining. The cards that people wrote info on and he picked out random cards to talk to people about was amazing. Also the way he was able to know numbers before being randomly thrown by audience people was crazy!

He is the person that the tv show was based on. Show had some humor and “how did he do that “ moments but it turned us off that he had swear words in almost every sentence. I have seen plenty of shows where the entertainer had sufficient vocabulary he didn’t need to do that but still had lots of fun.

Overall, I had an awful experience. Not only was this show obv staged, but halfway through the fire alarms went off and instead of stopping the show ‘The Mentalist’(or so he was called) asked “the audience” if he should just continue. After hearing one responding ‘yes’ he continued his act but anyone who sat past the 3rd row couldn’t hear a thing and only got a loud blaring noise instead. I got up to ask for my money back with my 2 friends but there wasn’t anyone there; absolutely no one to talk to or complain to. This was quite possibly the worst showing of my life.

We attended one of Gerry's first shows after live performances resumed after the months-long COVID interruption. We enjoyed his engaging illusions and mentalist tricks. Highly recommend seeing this show for an hour of solid entertainment.

A fabulous mix of art and science that is truly magical. I was uncomfortable that unmasked people were allowed in and even allowed to participate onstage, but Gerry himself is truly amazing. I would highly recommend this show at least in safer times

Very good show! Gerry McCambridge is amazing! He has great showmanship and the "tricks" (I know this is not the correct word) are unbelievable. We were amazed and in awe of every part of the show. You can go back time and again and still be amazed.
I gave it a 4, only due to the venue. The venue was cramped and some seats barely had view of the stage. But the biggest drawback was that they only allowed beverages purchased from the Stripper Bar. It was 109 degrees and they wouldn't let us bring in water or drinks from anywhere else. We went to the bar to get water and they only accepted cash (no ATM nearby)! I never carry cash and though the pandemic is almost over, why would they want to exchange cash with people.

The Mentalist did a wonderful job of entertaining! It was a very family friendly show and his presentation was amazing. The things he does are mind blowing, it makes you say to yourself- how could he know this information??? We thoroughly enjoyed this show- it’s a great value! We’ve been to several pricey shows and didn’t enjoy the show as much as this one.

With the Smart Destination card - Mentalist, V and Vegas show are inlcuded. What seats are allocated if you go on your card and can you book a particular time and date?

The seating is first come first serve , there are no seats allocated that I know! the mentalist has a very small theater , but they don’t let you in they wait till right before to get in , I heard the V show was good but I have never seen it . I heard the Las Vegas show was the best one to see and the most popular so get in line really early .and for all your shows you can set a time and date but I would as soon as you get to Vegas do that because they fill up quick!

I am a local so I checked the box office. The show starts at 7:30. There is another show in the same theater before The Mentalist. If you buy tickets at the box office, or need to redeem a voucher, you will need to allow plenty of time before 7:30 to get your tickets from the box office. If you are in the area earlier in the day, you can buy your tickets ahead of time. Sometimes we buy tickets early and then have dinner in the mall and then walk back to the V Theater.
It takes some time between shows to move people out of the show room and move the next crowd in. The show starts on time or close to it. You can ask the people at the box office what time you need to line up for the show.
The show itself runs about an hour and twenty minutes. You then need to allow yourself time to exit the theater. You will be out into the mall area by 9:00 PM. I hope this helps.
