- stephrything24 contributionsPerfect way to celebrate my birthdayI treated myself to the Waldorf Astoria spa for my birthday. My whole time there all of the staff made me feel so special and celebrated. They even gave me a gift with bath salts and body oil, and a birthday card signed by all of the staff. My masseuse Laura was so kind and gave me an incredibly relaxing massage. I am so grateful for all of their generous hospitality during my visit.Visited September 2023Traveled soloWritten December 4, 2023
- Alyssa BAnn Arbor, Michigan18 contributionsWorld class spa experienceI’d give this spa 10 stars if I could. The attention to detail and experience was above and beyond. When you arrive, you are guided to a beautiful sitting area, likely inspired by the spas in Bali. I was offered sparkling water, tea or champagne. I selected the champagne, which was an entire split, delivered on a tray with an orchid. I also got to select the scent of my hand towel. Very bespoke. Imelda, the women’s area spa attendant, guided me to the spa area and gave me a tour. She was amazing and always addressed me by name, and made me feel special. The facilities were sparkling clean, brand new and extremely comfortable. There’s pretty much any amenity you could think of, from pool with views of the strip, to sauna to steam room, to a lounge with infused water and light bites. The treatment was amazing too. I had the scrub & wrap, which included a head massage during the wrap portion. My therapist was very talented. I spent about 5 hours here during my visit, and it was the highlight of my trip. 10/10.Visited May 2024Traveled soloWritten May 21, 2024
- Valerie K6 contributionsRelaxation at the Waldorf Astoria Spa Las VegasEarlier this month, I had the pleasure of enjoying the spa at Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas. The relaxation experience begins the minute you walk in. You are greeted by the receptionist who takes you to a small seating earlier and offers you water, tea, or champagne. Then you are met by a spa attendant you escorts you downstairs to the locker room area. The spa attendant who met me was Imelda. She is always warm and welcoming and makes the customer feel special. The locker room has a variety of amenities including warm lounge chairs, relaxation beds, a great view, vitality pool, showers, steam room, and the best tasting granola bars. This visit I had 2 treatments with Naomi. I had a manicure and detox foot treatment. Going back upstairs to the nail area and sitting in the oversized anti gravity chair for my treatment is so relaxing and the views from the windows are fabulous. The detox foot treatment includes a mud wrap, full leg and foot exfoliation, and a massage with a soothing leg gel. Naomi is a very gifted therapist. Her gentle touch always helps melt away any tightness in my legs and feet from all the walking in Las Vegas. This treatment is more than about how it helps your legs/ feet feel but whatever she does always makes me dose off and gives me a feeling of complete relaxation. Going to the spa at the Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas and seeing Imelda and have a fabulous treatment from Naomi was a highlight of my recent trip to Las Vegas.Visited June 2024Traveled soloWritten June 21, 2024

The Waldorf Astoria Spa is a hidden gem on the Las Vegas strip. It is a place to find pure relaxation on the chaotic Las Vegas strip. It is located on the 8th floor of the Waldforf Astoria Las Vegas – while a little confusing to get here sometimes since you have to transfer elevators it is certainly worth the trek. First when you arrive the ladies at the desk are very welcoming. After being check in you are seated in the upstairs waiting room and offered tea, water, or champagne. Being offered champagne at a spa in Las Vegas is a special treat. I have tried many spas in Vegas and this is the only that I found that offers champagne. You are also given a little towelette to freshen up. Next you are taken downstairs to the ladies locker room where the attendant gives you a quick tour of all the amenities and then assigns you a robe and locker. My only complaint is the vitality pool … I would prefer a regular Jacuzzi. My therapist Naomi met me shortly after I changed into a big comfy spa robe. Naomi is absolutely fabulous. I have been to spas all over the country and she is truly one of the nicest therapists I have ever encountered. Her hands are magical. She took me back upstairs to the nail area. I had a deluxe spa manicure while seated in the zero gravity chair. Then came my second service – one of my favorites –Thermal detox leg & foot treatment. This service with Naomi is super relaxing. I look forward to having this service every time I am in Las Vegas. I am hoping to trying a facial my next trip to Las Vegas with Naomi. I think this spa is my favorite one in town! The relaxation lounge areas have large floor to ceiling windows that overlook views of the LV strip. I especially like the white heated lounge chairs.

Great- hidden place - no casino ! Use you hilton points to stay here as you do not pay the resort fee. If you have a car you have to pay bucks for parking. If you do walk chances are you will not find the entrance as it is hidden. Great rooms and especially great pool in very elegant and classy environment. They offer free limousine service, however you will have to wait as there is only one car so we did not use it.

I treated myself to a Platinum Pedicure at the Waldorf Spa and it was so worth it. I came several hours early and reclined in one of their heated lounge chairs while enjoying a good book. I then moved to the the hot tub which has built in lounge chairs, then went to the steam room and shower. There are so many luxuries in this spa, but the highlight was my pedicure with Amy Mei. She was the best! Looking out the window, the view was beautiful and relaxing while she massaged, exfoliated and polished was so peaceful. I will be back!

Our second visit. Beautiful facility with lovely options (speciality baths and showers, fantastic steam room). This time we had couples massage and facials back to back. Very professional and attentive service, warm staff. Lovely champagne to start. Just a great relaxing few hours. Highly recommended

My go-to spa in Vegas. I’ve tried others but this one is simply the best. Not very crowded, excellent facilities, and I’ve never had a bad massage there. I’ve been a few times and I’ll continue going back. They don’t really have a communal spa area to hang out with the wifey, but that’s ok, good to have my own time.

I took my sister here for her 40th birthday. We had a really nice time. But there are a few places that could use improvement.
PROS:
The massages were amazing. Patricia from Brazil gave a wonderful massage. She was very professional, she checked in with me throughout the massage to see if the pressure was okay, I felt like butter at the end of the massage. I didn't want it to be over.
The VIEW of the strip from the 8th floor was cool. You were able to see the view from many vantage points. What was really cool is that the hot tub had benches inside them so that you can lay down in the hot tub and take in the view of the strip.
The quiet room was a great place to relax after our treatments. Those beds and the blankets were so comfy.
The EXPERIENCE SHOWERS were kind of fun. It's a huge shower room with a computer monitor and you can pick what kind of shower you wanted. They had a cool water thunder/rain shower with lights and sound. My favorite was the warm water massage option that blasted water at high pressure on your body, massaging your muscles.
MEDIOCRE:
The steam room and dry sauna were just okay.
The laconium looked cool, but was kind of a wasted space. There was no one in there and the beds were kind of uncomfortable.
LACK OF OOH AND AHH AESTHETICS. I would say that compared to other Vegas spas, the MO spa was underwhelming. Mostly because if you walk into a place like the Encore's spa, the entryway is much more luxe and dramatic. The MO's lobby is very dark and sparse. It looked less inviting than the Encore's spa.
Everything looked clean and pretty. However, I was expecting a more Asian theme in the spa. The aesthetic in the spa with all the grey/white marble and tiles seemed much more Euro than Asian. But the massage rooms and the staff's uniforms were Asian-inspired. It was an uncohesive look.
CONS:
We had the rhassoul mud treatment. I hated it. For $100, I scrubbed myself with a loofah, plastered mud on myself, sat on an uncomfortably hot bench, and then showered. WHy did I pay to do this to myself? And the mud stung my skin. I put some on my face and it was burning. I wish I would have been told by the attendant that this might happen. I would not recommend this treatment. I felt so stupid paying for it.
The prices were exorbitantly expensive. $320 for a 80 minute massage is crazy. If it wasn't for a very very special occasion, we would have gone somewhere else. I would only recommend if you had a very special occasion.
TIPS:
We were there for hours. We wish we could have ordered food, smoothies, or drinks. We were hungry. The attendants said there was a limited menu of a chicken wrap or fruit plate and it would take 30 minutes. Just FYI so you can plan ahead.
If you go on a Monday-Thursday, you can get a more discounted rate than on weekends.

I am not a Vegas person. It's the land of plaster and noise where everybody is cool but nobody behaves like they have a lick of sense. Yuck.
When I have to go there on business, inevitably once a year, I hit the spa on day one, and do the convention the next day. Then I'm gone with a couple of nice dinners in between.
This trip I made an appointment for the Hamman experience and then an 80 minute theraputic massage. We stayed at the Mirage, so I cabbed it down to the Mandarin Oriental for my appointment at their 8th floor spa (so quiet and heavenly Zen). Having read reviews prior to making my appointments, I was extremely pleased with everything.
Check in at the spa was a breeze and then the layout of the wet areas was so delightfully done. The lockers provide some modicum of privacy. This is not a massive, Vegas-esque spa, but roomy enough. They do not overbook as they do at Canyon Ranch or MGM Grand's spas in Vegas. There is no "cram 'em in" mentality here. Oh no. Just peace, quiet and service.
First stop, the shower. Lovely water pressure and amenities (soaps, bath gels, shampoo, conditioner, towels, washcloths, etc.) Nice robe too. Very comfy.
Lockers are automated so you don't have to carry a key around. Plenty of room for primping before, during and after your treatments.
First Stop: the angled jacuzzi pool is a perfectly comfortable warmish/hot temp with built-in stainless beds for up to five women to lounge upon while in the jacuzzi. There is a button behind each submerged lounger that starts the bubbles from below. Great views from this jacuzzi pool.
Second Stop: The RainShower experience. These rooms (three, I believe) offer five types of overhead rainshowers (storm, drizzle, cold mist, tropical rain, etc.) I was hoping this would be like the Fontainebleu Spa in Miami where there is a marble bench to lay down upon while getting drenched. Not the case here....you stand to enjoy the drenching, which lasts max 45 seconds at a time. Good for water conservation, I suppose.
Third Stop: The Steam Room. It's very thick with steam, as it should be, and not too overwhelming with any one particular scent. I prefer dry heat, so moved on to the....
Fourth Stop: The Laconium. This is a room of marble and tile where the rounded seating area is heated from behind. Very warm on the back side of your body (against the curved bench) and the room is hot, but not killer hot like the steam room. And this is a beautiful room. If I could, I'd have this room in my home.
Fifth Stop: The rest area with the heated tile and marble full-length lounging chairs with a view (floor to ceiling windows). In here, I drank water and read a magazine. This was a nice room for a break between steam, jacuzzi pool, laconium, shower experience, etc.
In between each "hot stop" I rubbed down with ice chips (automatically refilled from above) at the centrally located Ice Fountain. Ahhhh....very relaxing. I repeated this circuit of heat, wet and cold about four times before, during and after my treatments.
And then the carpeted, luxe, intimately private and quiet lounging room with great views (and automated, adjustable beds) was heavenly. Ahhhhh, again.
The Hammam experience turned my brain and body to mush. You lay down on a heated marble slab (large enough for two), discreetly covered, with your Hammam assistant. This person gives you the equivalent of the most luxurious bath, shampoo and exfoliating scrub down and then rinses you over and over with hot/warm water which she carries in specially designed silver containers. The room is lovely. The experience is lovely. I can't explain in words how so relaxing this Hammam experience treatment is. Worth every penny. Don't hesitate.
The 80 minute theraputic massage knocked out every kink in my body. As I told the therapist, it was almost perfection. (I would say "perfection", but then is anything really perfection?) The room was nicely appointed (again, very luxe, as was everything) and the massage was spot-on exactly as I wanted when my therapist asked me what I wanted. Bravo, Mandarin Oriental therapists.
When I'm back in the land of plaster and glitz, I'm escaping to the Mandarin Oriental Spa yet again. No children, not over-booked and swarming. Just pure luxury.

Are there options for day use of the Spa only for non-hotel guests? How much is the Daily Rate? Thanks!:-)

Hi, I didn't stay at this hotel and I had a treatment in the Spa, I had a massage which was wonderful and that gave me access to the Spa for the day. I can't quite recall how expensive it was but it was somewhere around $180. Other treatments may have been cheaper. I'm not sure about access to the Spa without a treatment though. Hope this helps.
