Fabulous Vidara
Jan 2020 • Couples
Since my husband and I each love a different hotel/casino on either side of Vidara we decided to try Vidara as a compromise. What a fab choice. We could walk to either casino easily and as a plus the room at Vidara was large with a nice kitchenette. Vidara has no casino and the break from the noise and crowds was surprisingly very pleasant. There is a no smoking policy and a lovely lounge to relax in. We thought it couldn’t get better but at checkout we were assisted by Kevin who was just the most pleasant and patient ( we are technology impaired to say the least) young man and sealed our resolve to return.

Just Average
Jan 2020
I was expecting more of an experience but it really is just the hotels and a high-end shopping mall. Not much to write home about. There are many other places with more pizzazz.

Large fun proprty
Dec 2019 • Business
Very large complex with several hotels, casinos as well as shopping and restaurants. Modern architecture and design inside and out. Quite a bit of walking. Plenty of entertainment throughout.including sportsbook and shows. Valet parking available as well as self parking.

CityCenter is an MGM property, NOT the general center of the city of Las Vegas. A high-end modern area.
Oct 2019
This review should probably be reset and defined better. CityCenter Las Vegas is the MGM property where the Crystal Shops, Aria, Vdara, and Waldorf are located. This area is a complex of hotels, malls, casinos and shows.

I like this area because it is the in the design of a modern city, but it has no real character or theme outside of that. I suppose the theme "wealth" could be applied because the shops and hotels are certainly higher in price. However, if you are willing to spend that kind of money, this is a fitting location.

It is laid out well and one can easily travel between the multiple buildings on the property. I enjoy the focus the properties have on modern art.

City in decline
Oct 2019
We just returned from Las Vegas. The literature (advertising as to what to see and do in the area) promotes Vegas as now family friendly. There were a list of free things to do. The Dolphins at the Venetian were NOT free. We grew up with Dolphins swimming alongside our boat so we easily opted out of that. The city seems to be in decline. We came close to catastrophe when the white turn lines that are clearly visible in every city we've been to (travel a lot) were not there. Not only that we thought only Flamingo Ave was affected only to find out later and through several residents that most of the city roads don't even have visible white lines for traffic lanes!! We have never seen anything like it. Dangerous, cheap, uninviting. As always, fare and square. We did like the fountain show at the Belagio.

NEVER WILL RETURN!
Jul 2019 • Couples
Las Vegas is basically a terrible city. We stupidly visited in July. The average temperature daily was 110F some days higher. Whoever is on the town planning committee should be fired. There is absolutely no outdoor shade. Everyone basically walks in the direct sun all day every day and it’s beyond disturbing. Walkways, outdoor escalators, the outlets, Town Square are not covered, nothing gives anyone protection from the sun!!!! Also, unless you love alcohol, gambling, nicotine and weed then you shouldn’t come here, especially if you have kids. My heart goes out to all the kids I saw in Casinos at 10pm at night inhaling second hand smoke while their idiotic parents played poker!! Food is crap unless you eat high end and even then it’s semi-crap and overpriced. There is nothing remotely interesting about Las Vegas. It’s a sad, depressing city in the desert.

My friends told me we must visit here, but for the life of me I don't see why, it looks to be one of those places where you visit and pretend you have had a great time, and to justify the visit, tell others they must visit as well. Well to be as positive as possible, it can be summarised as needing a serious clean up, walking with my wife, escort cards are handed out to you, women with barely clothed having photographs taken with sad men, in any other city they would be arrested for indecency. as a parent it bothers me that they are someone’s children.

I found it nothing but expensive uninteresting and confusing, you seem to wander about trading to get back on track.

Drunks walking the streets, (the visitors mostly, loud and embarrassing) and the city a very confusing and disappointing stopover.

No matter how tempted when asked, I will tell friends to steer clear of the city and spend time elsewhere.

City officials need to get a grip and clean it up before it’s too late!

We picked up a map at the concierge in the Aria. Loved the silver Colorado river above reception in the Aria and the dancing fountain is really nice, took us a tour around the Aria and Vdara. Enjoyed finding our way about trying to locate the art, didn't find them all though.
If modern art is your thing then this is something different do do.

A developing project

This is one of the newer attractions in Las Vegas. There is a lot to offer and most likely will continue to develop.
