My husband and I enjoyed 3 days of Nascar racing at the Las Vegas motor speedway in March 2022. It was pleasant...cold but pleasant. Snow in Vegas?! During the first 2 days we were sitting in the center upper blue section and they were good seats but for the Cup race we sat in the Richard Petty section, row 48. They were awesome! We could see the entire track and the noise was not terrible! Downside of Las Vegas Motor speedway is that they do not allow you to bring in your own liquor...first track we've been to with this rule. My husband spent $62 plus a tip for four large can beers!!! There was a family in front of us that had snuck in small plastic bottles of Fireball. Parking was free. I'm finding the atmosphere of the tracks is interesting and very different. The other fans at Las Vegas were not super friendly but also not aggressive. I would say it was middle of the road. Traffic getting in and out was heavy and took us about 30 minutes to get in and out, not horrible.

We have been to this race track before on a non race weekend to do the Ride Along program and track tour. This time we went out to do the Nascar race weekend. The racing was great. The facilities and experience were okay. We were hoping for more activities out in the fan zone. We were disappointed in that. The food options were pretty good with a nice variety. We were in a tour bus so parking was okay but it looks like parking for the general public fans was okay as well. If you do want to take a taxi to the racetrack it was $60 one way from the strip. We had seats just before the start-finish line about halfway up and they were very nice. Their installation of the drink rails was a wonderful idea. However since the neon garage was built, turn two is no longer visible during the race as the building is too tall. But overall it was a nice weekend at the track.

Drove a Ferrari and Porsche. I am 6'2 and couldn't fit in a Lamborghini. But loved driving the road course. This is not a cheap thing to do, but what a thrill to drive some cars I wouldn't otherwise have the chance to drive. Trainers are great as well.

Purchased tickets in the front row, right by the finish line for NASCAR weekend. While overall the venue was good the moments in the race that you wait for were blocked by people standing in front at the fence. Very little control was implemented at this venue. Don’t bother buying the good seats, just get kind of close then walk up and block everyone else’s view at the big moments! These pictures were my front row view at the finish of the race. Las Vegas Speedway, do better!

Its very disappointing how LVMS has gone down hill over the past 15 years. I first attended Nascar races at LVMS in 2006 and have seen the services offered go downhill since. If you are seated in the first section of Earnhardt terrace you never see a refreshment vendor, you then have to walk at least a quarter mile to be able to get a drink or something to eat. They don't even bother checking tickets to see if patrons belong in that area resulting in me kicking people out of my seats multiple times,
Prices for beverages and food are absolutely ridiculous and am frustrated with their new "no cash" resulting in super long wait times.

This was our first trip to LVMS. We were there for all three of the 2020 Spring Races. We were glad that we went to the race on Friday night to get a feel for getting in and out of the track. They offer free parking and there's plenty of it. Traffic was light and finding the appropriate parking lot was easy. Saturday was the same and as it got rained out, there weren't any major traffic issues. Sunday was a different story. Traffic was backed up onto the Interstate to get into the track. It moved slowly, but it did move. We were glad we had gone two days earlier so we'd know what to expect because if you made a wrong turn, I don't know how long it would take you to get back to where you needed to go. The track itself was clean with a lot of food offerings - although a bit on the pricey side compared to other tracks. We liked our seats inside the track. We were in the Dale Earnhart Terrace. Overall, a good experience.

Third NASCAR event here for me...
The facility is great. I personally recommend using transportation, rather than driving. The motor coaches get out much quicker than other traffic.
Bring a seat pad !
Only complaint is the food/drink pricing... Check the rules... there are some items that are allowed... if possible bring your own ice and drinks. Re-entry was allowed, so going back to the motot coach was allowed. They were parked really close to the entrance, and this was convenient for going back and forth.

I came here for NASCAR. They had lemonade, beer, and food trucks inside of the building: nachos, hot dogs, cookies, glazed nuts. I was walking around for an hour, trying to find my seats. I was trying to find 2R Red. Everyone who I asked gave me contradictory information or had no idea where I should go. I believe they were high school volunteers but even when I asked the staff, I still was felt clueless. I was told to keep on going down till I hit the "red zone" but even when I hit the "red zone", there was no red 2R. I ended up having to settle for Blue 2R, which may or may not have been the correct seating section. I am still not confident about the seating chart. I ended up sitting somewhere completely different out of frustration. Other than the dysfunction of the seating, NASCAR was awesome and I would love to go again. Keep in mind for those who purchased tickets, you may be better off sitting whenever because after security checked my ticket, I was never asked for my ticket again.

Remember NO folding chairs are allowed. We see that at every race. People stand on long lines and have to turn around. NO seat cushions with arms. NO umbrellas. Be prepared before you go… read up on the Las Vegas speedway website

My wife and I love to come to the NASCAR races here. We try to come every other year. Getting to the track can be difficult but we use the shuttle busses from the casinos and it’s a bit easier. Also, if you buy a Neon Garage Pass be ready for a lot of stairs. There’s only one escalator and it is always packed. We just climb the 20+ staircases to the stands from the infield. There really should be another escalator. Get your seats in the middle to high part of the stands to see the race the best. We like the Earnhardt terrace as it gives a good view of the race to the finish line. Getting fan vision is also a good rent. You can watch replays and listen the the driver radios.

Does the red section have bench seats or individual seats
Written February 17, 2023
Yes those seats are bench seats
Get their early, so you have sitting space

We are going to the Sunday Nascar Race. I know this has been asked before but wondering easiest way to get to and from ? Do the shuttle buses have washrooms? There are so many mixed reviews on this subject thought I’d check again. Seems like people rent cars as an option and drive out themselves. Thanks so much

What is the best way to get to the track if you don’t want to drive? Is there a designated area for taxis when the race is over?
Written June 11, 2020
There is a designated area for taxis and Uber and Lift. I also think the city bus goes out there.

J'Irai en octobre au Flamingo Hotel et je veux me rendre au motor speedway qu,elle est le meilleur moyen de transport et le plus abordable possible merci

The most cost efficient way would be to use Speed Way's shuttle service, the website has drop off points and pick up locations. While I was in Vegas I decided to use Uber to Speed Way and there shuttle service back to my hotel. The shuttle was on time and very efficient

What size of purse is allowed and how big? Or does it have to be a clear bag?
Written February 18, 2019
Hi. I believe the size is limited to 18x18x6. We had a small backpack with us last year. You might want to call the speedway ticket office at (800) 644-4444. Hope you have a fantastic time. !!!

Hi Jodi, How did you access the transport from the parking area. Kansas speedway had no way to do so and I'm afraid I'm having no luck asking LVMS anything! Thanks for any help you can provide! Dan Barnowski

We jus walked .They do have shuttles .parking lots are huge you can always bring up the track and look at the lots so you know what to expect ,they do have handicapped parking right in front with golf cart shuttle if needed .

For NASCAR in March, can you all tell me how you got down there last year? Did you use UBER, CAB ;;; I am only going on the Sunday and there is 4 adults. Taking a private bus for 100 per person seems to high for me so any suggestions.
How long does it take to get there and how crazy is it to get out ? What time do you arrive onsite?
Thanks for all your help,
Angie

I was lucky - we had a relative in town with their car, so I can say we had a chauffeur! Access is pretty easy - the track itself is located on the northeast edge of Vegas, between the Interstate and Nellis AFB. There are entrances and exits from both sides. I lived in Vegas for a time, so I was comfortable with driving and navigating.
The police did indeed do a great job of directing and managing traffic inflow and outflow. Your driving time depends completely on where you are. We stayed on the east side of town, at the Boulder Station, giving us a short straight shot north to the track - early enough to avoid the heavy traffic - maybe 20 minutes and we were there. You have to choose for yourself whether to rent a car, depend upon a busy taxi/Uber/Lyft or take the bus. Depends upon how familiar you are with the area and how confident you feel about driving in Vegas.
We went about 1 1/2 hrs before the race - gave us time to visit the vendors, buy some swag, play with power tools, enjoy a sandwich and chat with the Blue Angels pilots.
It was a blast and I highly recommend going! I will go again soon...

I'd like to watch NASCAR Whelen all American series race No.5. 4-May-2019
Can I buy a ticket even on the day?
Written January 15, 2019
Probably so, but I would just buy online in advance. Be sure to look up information on which way the sun hits the bleachers and the different kind of seats. Some are just benches and some are regular seats. May will be hot and you don't want to be facing the sun all day.
