Vegas lost its identity

Unless you enjoy smelling skunk pot all day long, ghetto type atmosphere on the strip, vagrants and beggars, over priced mediocre food and drinks, scantly clad out of shape women- well you will love this place. Been to Vegas many times, sadly I will never go back. This place tuned into a ‘stimulus check’ playground

Las Vegas is totally ghetto.

Last time for me. Ghetto has taken over Las Vegas. Pot smoking everywhere. Homeless people lying everywhere. The crowd seems like they just got their stimulus checks and were just released from jail. Loud, cursing abrasive people. The women huge and spilling over their skin tight see through skirts and tiny shirts. Belly showing. No shame. Men dressed like women. LGBTQ convention with anything available. All this to go along with over priced restaurants and casinos that are more greedy than ever, high minimum table games, tight slots, and stingy drinks from not very friendly cocktail waitresses. Gone are the fun days of Vegas. Legalizing marijuana and general decay of society in full view here. So sad. The only reason to come to Vegas is to take day trips to the beautiful national parks-Zion, Bryce and Grand Canyon.

Please, keep whatever happens in Vegas, in Vegas. We don’t want it.

The strip isn’t what it was even 15 years ago. There are an over abundance of vagrants, people pretending to be something they aren’t, and people dressed like they’d never dress back home. The smell of marijuana is everywhere and the lyrics to music blared from stores are so vulgar I wouldn’t want my children to hear them. The whole strip and even the restaurants are designed to relieve people of their money. Food used to be inexpensive. Now, one pays a premium for mediocre food and service.

Do you like pot smoke? Scantily clad women? Daiquiris the length of your arm? Dodging vomit and drunk bachelors/bachelorettes? If you do then you'll love Las Vegas.

This place is a party on a Saturday night, people are everywhere. Food, drinks, and gambling feel like they're all an arm's length away. Many people were smoking pot, vaping, or drinking alcohol in public, but that's the Vegas way.

There is construction, homeless people, and less focus on cleanliness the further away from the center of The Strip that you are, but we never felt unsafe. We were just happy to say we've seen it and can check it off of the proverbial 'list'.

Pot is ubiquitous on The Strip now. Unless you enjoy second-hand pot smoke or indulge in it, in the casinos and out of the casinos, avoid the area. Vegas has gone the way of the single, sexually lose, morally bankrupt, childless millennial. The whole strip is no longer family friendly in any way shape or form. Not since NV decided to legalize pot.

incredible place but also depressing

Not sure what's happening in Vegas now, maybe a sign of the times or the post covid re-opening or maybe I'm just getting too old for Vegas. The good was all the entertainment, activities and attractions. We are not big gamblers but played some slots. We liked the Stratosphere (unfortunately only the observation deck was open but no rides due to the wind). NY NY roller coaster was fun. Fremont was dead during the week and we did the Slotzilla zipline without any wait. The hotels were beautiful. We stayed at Bellagio and had a fountain view which was awesome...but expensive. It's quite an experience to see all the people and lights, reminds me of NYC. Despite the negatives below, the strip and Fremont St were very clean.

The not so great was the ever present smell of pot and people smoking in open view which is apparently overlooked by police. Drunk people acting stupid everywhere and homelessness. The type of people on the strip was very ghetto like. I wonder how some of these people can function in society being so loud and boisterous. I also hope they have good health care because the amount of smokers and vaping was insane. To me, it was sad to see such a crowd. It's called Sin City for a reason.

We probably won't return unless I can turn back time and be in my 20's again and be invincible.

I go to Vegas just for these 2-3 miles! I visit 1-2 times a year, and it NEVER gets old! I will continue to come here forever!

Trailer Park Crowd

Wow, let's hope that this is not the future of Vegas, which always seems to be morphing. Perhaps we were observing a lot of "stimulus check" vacations, but the overall crowd was disturbing. If this is the type of people who will be coming to Vegas, I've made my last trip.
