We visited the Liberace Garage and Museum back in October of 2021 and when we found ourselves coming back to Las Vegas this April there was no question that we had to reach out to Jonathan Warren, the man that made our October trip such a memorable one! We booked The Liberace Collection at Thriller Villa and again were nothing short of delighted. You must spend the money and book a classic car, personally chauffeured by Mr. Warren, to make this a one of a kind, unforgettable experience. Mr. Warren, a Las Vegas native and the Chairman of the Liberace Foundation, is nothing short of a Vegas historian in my book. As you are chauffeured to and from your tours (and wherever you’d like to go) Jonathan provides a narrative of the history of this incredible city (and yes, mobsters still exist!) And speaking of Las Vegas history…there is of course the man who made Vegas sparkle..Mr. Showmanship.. Liberace! The Liberace Garage and Museum houses not only many of Liberace’s own cars (as well as costume, pianos and many other artifacts,) but the front holds an amazing assortment of cars ranging from classics to movie cars, some replicas, some the real deal. This is a self-guided tour with signage and QR codes to scan for short videos, sound bites or articles detailing what you are seeing, many are narrated by Mr. Warren. The Thriller Villa is a beautiful sprawling mansion where The King of Pop his children spent the last two years of his life. While little if any of MJs personal artifacts are contained here, there are many stories to be told! What is stored here are more of Liberace’s beautiful pianos, costumes and a vast wall of photos of Lee with entertainers, politicians and family. This tour is a small gathering, not more than 10 or so and is personally guided by Mr. Warren. Jonathan Warren and the Liberace Foundation are making great strides to revive the legacy of the man whose talent and showmanship have influenced a city and entertainment as we know it today. Take the tours, rent the cars! You won’t be sorry!

To say I was pleasantly surprised by this museum is a total understatement! Hidden in the back of the warehouse that houses the Hollywood Cars Museum, in a very random and unassuming off-strip industrial/business plaza, you will find this sparkling gem of a collection of Liberace cars, outfits, shoes, bow ties, and more! Jonathan Warren, Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Liberace Foundation, a Las Vegas native, history buff, and incredibly charming and gracious host is there to fill your mind with fascinating facts and stories about this larger than life legend, Liberace. They have thoughtfully created informative links and videos that can be accessed by QR code in order to learn more background and details on the different items in the museum. Most definitely purchase your tickets online or make the suggested donation while there in order to see the full exhibit. You will be glad you did. Got to spend a bit of time chatting with Jonathan in the lounge after touring the museum. I could listen to his Vegas stories all day! For someone who prides themself on exploring hidden gems, I can’t believe it took me this long to discover the Liberace Garage. Spectacular exhibit and I can’t wait to go back this summer after they add more artifacts behind “the golden door”! Thanks to Jonathan and his assistant for an amazing afternoon!

So the Liberace Garage is in the Hollywood Car Museum so you cannot do one without the other. The Liberace cars are in the back room of the museum and are pretty impressive considering they run and he used them on stage in his act. The two silver and crystal ones are those that stand out in my head as they are just WOW. The others are just older styled cars that were painted to match his act at the time. Worth some time. Was included in my Liberace Collection Tour ticket.

This is a car museum in an industrial area that is not overly decorated. There are 3 rooms of cars, mostly from movies that are interesting. The Liberace room has some very unique cars that matched his style. There are a few outfits and posters, but mostly cars. If you like cars from movies, you’ll find it interesting.
