I bought two tickets for the 6pm Friday night show (Fri Jan 31 to be exact) for my husband and myself. I actually bought the tix on Groupon before we left for Vegas. We spent $27 on a cab to get to The Strat only to wait outside the theater for at least 14 people to show up-- if the minimum of 14 did not come, the show would be cancelled. This did not seem promising for a good show.... The LA Comedy Club guy (worker/host/bartender?) only waited until 6:05. There were 12 people there, and he said the show was cancelled. As we were all walking away, I saw a group of about 10 people walking towards the theater. If the guy would have waited until 6:08, he would have had at least 20 people. I was so annoyed because we had to pay another $27 for a cab back. We would have stayed at the Bellagio (our hotel), saved that cab $$, and saved the actual ticket money. Because we booked through Groupon, the LA Comedy Club would not refund us. They said to contact Groupon for a refund. They offered for us to come to a later show, but we were meeting friends and would not be able to. My husband and I were so annoyed at the waste of time and money, and the wasted opportunity to see a different show instead. I can't believe this show gets great reviews and they can't even get 14 people to come see it on a Friday night?? Makes me think the reviews are all fake. Hopefully Groupon will refund us. …

I wasn't quite sure what to expect. He is both funny and good. His tricks are fun and the show flows nicely. The time will fly by. Definitely worth the time to attend.

I attended this show on Thursday, July 4, 2019. The show was okay. At first, they were telling us that the show may not happen, since they have to have 14 paid customers. I thought how sad that a show can't even get that small number of attendees. But we ended up having about 22 in the audience. What I didn't like was the attitude of one of the staff. I was forced to participate in a magic act that I really didn't want to. James Michael asked me for a large bill. He acted like he didn't believe the largest bill I had in my wallet was a $10 bill. He took my brand new $10 bill and had another audience member write her name really large in magic marker on my $10 bill. After a bunch of hocus pocus, my bill ended up in the middle of an orange. He gave it back to me, completely saturated in orange juice, with someone's name printed on the front. I was not going to put the wet, sticky bill in my wallet. After the show, I went to use the bill at a candy store down from the show. They wouldn't take it since it was (now only damp) and had a name largely written on it. I went back to the staff to change out the bill for another. Instead of just exchanging it with no questions asked, a little short male staff member began to question the validity of my story. Even James Michael did. You know, just change out the bill, with no questions asked. If you think you were doing me a favor giving me back a wet, defaced bill, you weren't. It was a souvenir that I didn't ask for or want.…
