You can pay $30 and see the aquarium at the Mandalay Bay. Or you can come here and see the fish for free. Not only that but after 4 PM several days a week, a mermaid swims with the fish. The aquarium tank is quite large and there are many different kinds of fish. Nothing too exciting but the small kids will probably find this enjoyable.

It's not actually a full aquarium, it's just a little section when you walk through the front of Silverton/Bass Pro Shops. Cute though and kids love the mermaid shows! If you go to Silverton you should see it at least once.

This is one of my secret hangouts for winding down. The circular reef tank offers a vast array of tropical fish, available for viewing from several positions around the tank. My favorites are the rays, who are huge. Sometimes, divers come feed the fish. There is a bank of seats available on one side for sitting and watching the fish for a while, or you can get a table in the bar and sip drinks and eat appetizers while winding down by the tank. The bar also has a bar-back tank with moon jellies.

If you get tired of the fish, stroll across to the Bass Pro shop and Outdoor World and check out the dioramas, including a vast "Grand Canyon" where waterfalls plunge off the upper floor into a canyon full of live ducks and koi. (Okay, so the fauna is a little suspect...) Wander into the shop itself and enjoy the tanks full of game fish, or schmooze with a pride of taxidermied lions. And the store is a great place for any outdoor enthusiast to unwind. Eat your heart out, REI!

This is a $50 round trip cab ride and is not an "Aquarium". We shelled out the cab fair and when we got there, we noticed it is nothing more than a fish tank. Better tanks in Caesars Shops. Don't recommend to anyone staying on the strip.

Great free aquarium, yes free ! Has a small bar next to it where you can get a massive sized Nacho's for eight bucks. Wife and I couldn't finish them. Small kids love when the mermaid goes in the tank and they interact with crowd very well. Can't beat the price.

First off, this is free for anyone which is a rarity in Las Vegas. If you are staying away from the hotel on the strip, I suggest you take an Uber out there for it is cheaper than a cab. A round trip from the far side of the strip to the Silverton is $44 via a cab including the tip or $33 including tips via Uber. If you drive yourself there is free parking. This is still cheaper than other aquariums that are $20 per individual and up. Their are chairs on the back side of the aquarium which is nice to sit, watch the fish and relax. The have mermaid and feeding shows during the day but at night it is peaceful and quiet for adults that just want to chill. With Bass Pro right there you also have multiple waterfalls that makes for that much more of a relaxing environment. Overall it was a very enjoyable and relaxing experience with all kinds of salt water fish including multiple sting rays.

Named the “BEST FREE Attraction in Las Vegas,” this 117,000-gallon tropical aquarium at a casino resort with sharks, stingrays & real-life mermaids. Located off strip and away from the hustle and bustle. A great place to leave your kids ooh and aah for a bit while you pump a few dollars in the slots. Safety? No worries, there are always a handful of olds checking out the marine life that will watch the little ones. Cheers

We visited the Silverton Aquarium just last week on our vacation. The aquarium is beautiful and we got to witness the feeding of the Stingrays. The diver was very informative as he told us facts about the stingrays and other fish in the aquarium. We also wanted to visit this aquarium because it was built by ATM in Vegas. We watch their show on Animal Planet and wanted to check out some of the tanks they built that are in Las Vegas. Glad we did. Spectacular! Had a great time.

My 10-year old daughter did the Mermaid Class for her birthday. It was amazing. The instructor/mermaid is a competitive synchronized swimmer. My daughter had so much fun in the tank, waiving at passerbys with her mermaid tail on. Definitely recommend checking out the aquarium, even if you don't sign up for the class.

Whenever I go visit the Silverton Buffet for lunch, I always stop and check out the aquarium and also the amazing Bass Pro Shops(same building) which also has huge fresh water aquariums and numerous stuffed animals throughout the store.

This aquarium is not the biggest in the world, but it is well thought out in design and just big enough to get your attention. Full of sharks, stingrays and numerous other fish, it is absolutely incredible that they can get so many varieties of fish together without them eating each other.

I most often see the mermaid around in the early afternoon and other times there is just a diver performing tank duties and such. And uhhhh, to the intellectually challenged who have commented here, sometimes it is just the aquarium inhabitants(THE FISH) socializing in the tank. The mermaid is not a 24 hour a day option. The fish are great and highly entertaining to watch. That is all that is required here.
