About
Experience the thrilling sensation of skydiving, without a parachute or airplane. Guests will learn to "Ride The Wind" inside our vertical wind tunnel. MAXIMUM WEIGHT LIMITS APPLY. All flyers are weighed at check-in. The propeller turns on and the air begins to flow. You dive as if your diving into a swimming pool but instead, you're floating on air, flying, riding the wind. All participants must attend our safety training class prior to their wind tunnel flight. Classes begin every 30 minutes on the hour and half hour. After class, flyers are issued all the necessary flight equipment including a full body jumpsuit, helmet, goggles, gloves, head sock, and ear plugs. Now you're READY TO FLY! Flyers enter the tunnel as a group. Everyone stands with their backs against the wall as you take turns jumping into the giant wall of air. It's tricky, so your Instructor will be right by your side holding on to you as much as it takes to keep you centered in the airstream.

We were in town with friends who wanted to do this, so I decided to go along. Only 2 of us were able to do it because of their pretty strict weight restrictions (230 lbs for guys 6 feet and over, not sure about the women but it was less weight depending on height). We got a short tutorial including how to interpret hand signs from your instructor, safety, etc., then we each got two 1 minute "flights" for the money. At first I thought this was a very short amount of time but it is a pretty intense experience, so I didn't feel cheated when I was done. It is a 120 MPH column of air that is used, so it is very loud and isn't gentle. I had a hard time breathing due to the wind across my face, so I basically held my breathe for a minute with a few gasps in between. The other guy who did it didn't have that problem, so maybe it was just me. I was sore for 3 days afterward due to your muscles stretching in a way they never have moved before. It was a pretty cool sensation, though, and the instructor is there the whole time to make sure you don't kill yourself.

Hello, Thanks for leaving a review! As you mentioned, our weight guidelines depend on height and gender. The reason behind our guidelines is simply to ensure a good quality experience to anyone who wishes to fly with us. Indoor skydiving is certainly a sport more than a ride which becomes evident for most who give it a try. We hope to fly with you again soon!

Our instructor, Rob, was fantastic! He really worked to get some great pictures for us and was really fun. He was also very attentive of everyone's safety the entire time. Just a really great experience for our entire family!

I decided to try this and it was awesome. I got there a bit early ( I had prebooked a time slot) and they were really busy with a few groups. So I had to wait a while but it was well worth it! -my husband was waiting patiently.
James was my instructor and he was great! Spend some extra time with me to show me.
When in Vegas I will definitely do it again!
Thanks guys! Everyone was awesome!

We had four days in Las Vegas in June 2014, and had a real blast (excuse the pun). We had heard of indoor skydiving, but having done outdoor tandem (real) skydiving previously, were not sure whether this would live up to the hype or not. So at the last minute, we decided to go (we'd been cast out of our hotel at lunchtime, and our flight check in was not until 6pm).

The location is pretty handy - close to the Strip hotels and not too far off the strip either. Once you are close, you see their building. Free parking is right outside.

Check in is easy and they take your height and weight, and then give you a free locker for all your jewellery, bags, sun glasses and so on. I'm always nervous leaving my belongings, but there were no issues at all.

There is a short 'how to' awareness film and the usual disclaimers to sign. And then a friendly instructor helps you to suit up - baggy suit, gloves, goggles, helmet. Keep your own tightly-laced shoes or trainers on, or wear theirs. Flip flops are a no-no, and you'll end up in their socks and shoes if you forget.

The 'flying' is great. Lie on your front and they turn up the fan. The instructor is with you all the time, and he helps you to position in the up-draught. He even flies with you if your are stable enough. This is all most exhilarating and a lot of fun.

You get three or four goes in the time allowed. Frankly this was all I needed, but there was an option for another go for half price if you wanted it. For a small fee ($15) there are photographs if you want them - but there is no pressure to take them.

These chaps do a great job, and you'll probably meet the current Guinness World Record Holder at 'head-over-heels flips in a wind tunnel' - he is one of the owners / operators - the record is an unbelievable 53, and his Guinness certificate is on the wall.

We are very happy we went, and pleased to recommend it here.

If my review has helped you, I'd appreciate your "Helpful" vote - have a great trip!

We had a great time at Vegas Indoor Skydiving. It was everything it promised. They have lockers for your things. The people are have great attitudes and make it so much fun! The gear is clean and bright. My only problem.... and everyone in our group who was waiting with us.... when you buy your tickets online they send you warnings about being late. They even say to arrive 30 mins before your Skydiving time. We sat and waited and waited and waited until after our actual time had passed before they started our instruction video. There was zero reason we needed to be early. Also the quality of the video is horrible, don’t pay for it. But besides that it’s a lot of fun. Bring a friend to take pics. You’ll have a blast, have great pics and save $130.

Hello, Thank you for leaving us a review! We're sorry to hear that the wait time was less than satisfactory. The early arrival time is to ensure that everybody has time to fill out waivers, empty pockets, and get ready for class to begin. On busy days, there are times where the wait times can get a little backed up due to large groups- We do thank you very much for your patience! We hope you'll come back and fly with us again soon.

This place is amazing. We brought our 9 and 11 year old boys to Vegas for the first time and discovered Vegas Indoor Skydiving trough a google search of things to do with kids in Vegas.

By far, this was their favorite adventure. The facility is clean and welcoming, with a convenient parking lot right out front. We read on the website that reservations were recommended, which we made over the phone quickly and easily. Our appointment time was accurate and we didn't have to wait at all.

Skydivers go in small groups, and there is an instruction period (about 15 minutes) before you suit up to fly. Then, the group goes into the room and spectators can watch from windows all around the sky diving area. I could see everything perfectly and was able to video the whole thing with my iPhone. Each participant had three turns to skydive with the instructor's help - by the third time they were all pretty much on their own.

Our instructor, Nick, was amazing. You can tell he really loves what he does and he was GREAT with my 9 year old who was over the moon about the whole experience and could hardly contain himself.

The entire experience took a little over an hour, and I know we will be talking about it for many years to come. HIGHLY recommend.

I didn't mind the price of the sky dive at the time as I had hight expectations, these expectations that would not go fulfilled. My first problem was our instructor, what can i say he was a complete cheese bag, terrible jokes that made everyone feel uncomfortable and frankly was just extremely annoying. Granted he was annoying, but what was even more annoying was his son was along with our group that was already bigger than any other group I had seen prior. The instructor seemed to think that this was a one on one session with his son, we had roughly about 3 minutes each, I know because we had recorded with a phone and discovered it from there. What annoyed me the most frankly was the father and son, for the price you are paying I would want more. Terrible experience, One more thing, they managed to dislocate my sisters arm, the instructor didn't have a notion what to do, then we had to bargain with them to get a refund. Would not advise it to anyone. If you do want to go my besst advice is to avoid the instructor that looked like shaggy from scooby doo on more of a nerd.

Our family of 4 signed up for the Family Block of 15min with DVD video - and everyone had a blast! Staff was professional from start to finish - free lockers were available for personal item storage to ensure that nothing would be lost or cause a hazard in the windtunnel. After a brief but thorough safety briefing we signed release forms - full refund available if you decide to back out at this point. We had Jeremiah as our instructor and he was great - he made sure the kids were properly fit for their equipment and everyone understood what was going to happen inside the windtunnel, very reassuring for our 8 year old daughter when she started getting nervous.
Once inside, we each had 3 turns 'flying' during the 15min session - my 17 year old daughter was able to immediately relax and follow the instructor's cues so he was tossing her into the air and spinning her after just a few seconds, by her second turn he was helping her do flips and standup moves, and her last turn was a combination of all. The rest of us were not that good, but he was able to get us relaxed and in the correct position for the spins and flips as well by our 3rd time. The 15min seems much longer due to the adrenaline when you are actually in there - and plenty of time to feel sore the next day in all the little stabilizer muscles you didn't know you had...
During our Vegas trip we also did a helicopter tour to the Grand Canyon, rode dunebuggies in the Nellis dunes, and saw several Cirque shows - Vegas Indoor Skydiving was the overall favorite and the kids are still talking about it at home and with their friends.

I agree with previous reviewers that 15-20 mins to be in a group of 5 in a wind tunnel may not seem like enough time... but I was definitely satisfied with the experience (and more tired than I thought I'd be!) by the end of the three runs. Our instructor (Chris B.) was very patient and positive. Don't forget to print the coupon from the website, or look for even better coupons from other sources. They also offer a local discount in the late afternoon (half off!), so definitely worth it to bring your relative/friend/etc. with you if you're in town to visit them.

For $75 each, we got to try something amazing. We all left with big smiles on our faces. I'm a 47 year old mom and I went with my 24 and 21 year old kids. Read up on things like weight limits before you go by visiting their website. They will have you step on a scale. We got lucky and only had to wait about 15 minutes for the next class (we got there around 12:45 on a Tuesday). You have to remove all jewelry and you'll want comfy enclosed shoes. They combine groups up to10 people for the class, but only up to 5 in the chamber at a time. After a short video, you get some info from your instructor and sign a waiver. Then you get suited up (flight suit, gloves, helmet, goggles and ear plugs. It is hot and the wind tunnel will beat you up, but it's great fun. You only get about 3-4 minutes each of actual flight time, but it doesn't feel as short as you'd think. The better you follow the instructor's advice, the more flying time you'll get because he's not wasting time trying to get you to do it right. I've wanted to try it for years and finally did and am SO glad. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. By the way, if you love it, for $40 you can stay suited up and get put into the next available slot after your initial flight.
There's an observation area if you want to check it out before you sign up.
