This was the second time I've been to Stoney's since I've been here on holidays, each time it was great. They had a promotion for June and the locals got in free with ID, but the tourists only pay $5.00 . We arrived just before 7 to get a drink and find a table. This was a Thurs. night, which... More

Howdy! Something I've never said before. Stoney's in Las Vegas is a lot of fun. At 7:00 they offer FREE line dancing lessons. So if you don't know how to dance, they will get you started. Super casual fun! Whether you want to wear the cowboy boots and jeans or come as you are, it all works. You can ride... More

This place is great fun. Situated in town square about 15 minutes from the strip. We went to see a local country bar to do some dancing. Got there about 7.30pm, lots of dancers were on the floor, being instructed to learn a new dance. The place resembled several large barns all together, sawdust in the floor, even a bull... More

Had a fantastic time dancing. People were willing to mix and mingle and dance with strangers. Nice mix of mostly country for line-dancing and two-stepping, and a little hiphop so I could dance with my friend. Nice-sized floor. Only complaints are things got dead after midnight and water isn't free.

The reason they don't let you drink on the floor is because they don't want to be sued when people like you spill your drinks all over the floor. Someone who knows how to dance will come along and slip and fall. If they are lucky they won't end up seriously injured and spend the rest of their lives in... More

Here are my observations, based on my visit here on a Thursday night in mid-October: If you are coming to dance 2-step and West Coast Swing, come early and/or bring your own partner. The better dancers arrive early. The later it gets, the more the floor for partner dancing becomes dominated by drunk couples who don't really know how to... More

We arrived and where first told there was a 10.00 cover if we did not have a valid Nevada ID.(Great Job price gouging the tourists) Because my Girl liked to line dance we paid the cover. I had called ahead of time to check and was told there would be a DJ playing country music along with line dancing lessons. I also asked if they sold the beers I drink, I was told absolutely yes. We arrived that evening by cab. After paying the cover charge we enter to techno music and none of beers I... More
