Quieter location which was perfect for us. We travelled with parents/ in laws so The Luxor being at the end of the stop was great. Out the way enough to not be in the madness!

Room
Air con was poor, wouldn’t drop below 24 degrees, when it was 42 outside we needed the air con to work!
Room was dated needs a lick of paint
Huge rooms though and a super comfy bed
Always clean though and always fresh towels

Food
Lots of purchase choices, food court was really good for a quick cheap lunch. Sandwich place was yummy for salads and wraps
Diablos was really good Mexican and helpful staff. Starbucks was always busy
We got a Starbucks and a muffin from the shop for breakfast then the food court for a small lunch then we went out to the other casinos for dinner

Pool
Disappointing, your in a desert and there was NO shade!
You had to pay $150 for a sunbed with a parasol. $300 for a cabana. Normal sunbeds are free if you can hack direct 40 degree heat!
Drinks were ok priced and the pool was clean.

I attended the Super Bowl Party in the Egyptian Ballroom. It was absolutely amazing. I had concerns that vegetarian fare would even be available at such an event. I was wow’d at the amount of the vegetarian options with just a few small tweaks many could be made Vegan.

The scrumptious offerings included: spinach and artichoke dip in a tiny bread bowl. This dip was chock full of green veggie goodness.

There was a DIY soft taco bar, along with various animal proteins, was an artfully presented grilled fresh veggie option. I was able to make a soft taco heavy with grilled yellow squash, salsa finished with creamy sour cream.
There was a DIY nacho bar as well, I enjoyed the “muy sabroso” queso very much.

The desert offerings were stunning, please see pics. The chocolate covered strawberries were so sweet and juicy.

The champagne was plentiful and other food options more typical of the Super Bowl were abundant. Great big soft pretzels, popcorn, candy.

The 3 different times I’ve called the front desk at the Luxor hotel. I spoke with 3 different women and they were all extremely rude talking to me like I was stupid. Terrible customer service. They all didn’t even try to help with our situation the 3 times I called they all responded in a smart way and hung up the phone. We will never be returning here again. The price we paid here was not worth the experience at all.

Only stayed here 3 days, rooms were big with 2 queen size beds. Decor needs updated and very old, carpet was a bit outdated too. Sockets on the walls were dodgy to use as the fixing was very slack and didn't use. Other sockets on the lamp to charge your phone in addition to sockets underneath the TV however this would short out with the hairdryer in use. There was no shower gel in the bathroom however the bathroom was lovely tiled and modern finish. No view is ever good when looking into a wall. After complaining we did get moved to another room which the only difference was the view of the pool, we were given $75 inconvenience which covered dinner that night. Drinks were very expensive approx $4.50 for a diet coke, $9 for bottle of beer. Pool was nice and clean. Would not stay here again though, staff service was poor.

Do not stay at the Luxor Hotel. The elevators rarely work, the staff is not helpful, and if you need housekeeping or maintenance be prepared to wait hours. The stay was a nightmare. We stayed here due to proximity to Allegiant stadium, I will definitely stay somewhere further away and uber next time.

Takes 20 minutes to walk from the garage to the hotel registration, then another 45 minutes to check in. 3 out of 4 pools are closed yet I still have to pay a resort fee. There's no fridge in the room. I paid 4x more money for this night than I did the Excalibur the last few nights and it's the same experience just worse. This place is awful, never go.

I visited the Luxor during the Covid Virus Pandemic.
I noticed most people in masks. For those not wearing their masks or wearing them inappropriately Luxor employees were quick to prompt them to put their masks on correctly.

I saw lots of hand sanitizing stations as well. I was grateful for the opportunity to cleanse my hands.

While I did not stay on property I did spend sometime in the casino. And I enjoyed a nosh at the Public House.

The rooms appropriate for the price, but the worst part was the dust. The first time I walked to my room I smelled it, then I realized it's because they haven't cleaned to tops of the structures inside the pyramid in years. There is literally an Inch of dust in spots. Even the walls near the elevators were covered in it. My gf and I were both stuffed up after the weekend. Seems like such an easy quality control thing to fix.

This will probably be where we stay next time. We stayed at the castle but had such poor service, walked over to try here, within just a few minutes of sitting down at any machine, we had a waitress asking us if we needed anything. We ended up walking over here all 3 nights we were in town to spend at least part of the evening! Can't say enough about how great the wait staff here treated us.

My first room they put in was so out-dated. It felt like the 1980s, it was dark and scary (pyramid)

Next they put me in the tower, where the walls were paper thin. Woke up to a fight in the room next door and then the next day a man on conference calls at 6am for three days straight.

Bottom line, you had to walk forever to get to your rooms and once you were there, they left something to be desired for. I will never stay there again.
