This is a great beginner hike at the beginning of spring when the snow starts to melt. Nice to eat a sandwich and watch the falls while soaking up some vitamin D!

This was an awesome trail that I would recommend to anyone wanting to get away. I would have given it 5 stars but signs were hard to follow.

The trail is not well maintained or marked. We followed Pyramid creek and discovered small ponds and waterfalls. Tranquil and beautiful. We climbed up and over rocks and tree trunks but not all the way to the falls. It was a good hike with beautiful views. We also went the beginning of September and the weather was perfect with no problems parking and no crowds.

Nice short hike to the base of the falls. Moderate to easy, lots of places to rest if need be. In spots the primary trail is difficult to discern from many worn next-to side trails by visitors. No worries ... all get you there. Parking fills fast but hike is short enough that someone is usually leaving to open a spot. Bathrooms at base.

Horsetail Falls is an incredible place. The trail is marked pretty well for the first quarter mile, but after that it opens up to a massive, wide open hike/climb over huge granite masses that make up the mountain. It is a pretty easy hike, my parents who are 65 did it with ease. We didn't quite make it to the falls, due to time restrictions, but the mile hike we did was absolutely incredible, probably our favorite hike of the trip. The short hike for the incredible views you get is like paying a nickel for the best pizza you've ever had!
