Other than the difficult steep 1 mile long incline back up to the parking lot, this hike was well worth it for the beautiful views once you get there! It is so picturesque in this area, the water is clear, the beach is clean, the trails were mostly easy to walk (besides the occasional ice patch). The only thing that I could even complain about was the bathroom situation... It's a hole in the floor & all they offer is hand sanitizer. Other than that I highly recommend a stop here, just bring your walking shoes and some water

Lake Tahoe on the Nevada side is very beautiful. There is a paved walking trail that runs along the road with 20 minute parking. One spot even had a bathroom. I overheard someone saying this is new. If you plan on going to the Beaches go early. The beaches and parking lots fill up fast and the park will close off the entrance. We drove by one beach around 9:30 and the entrance was closed and the beach was packed.

This is such a beautiful place! There are several public beaches in the park, but they were extremely crowded with the parking lots completely full when we came in June. The drive through the park is stunning, and there are a few places you can pull over to take pictures and enjoy the vistas.

We planned the tour at the beginning of our trip so we would have an idea of where we might want to return. The tour was more fun and informative than we ever imagined. It was literally one of the best parts of our trip! Jim was an amazing guide.

Although I was traveling in the month of May...always be prepared for the unexpected around these parts. As I was crossing over the pass from Nevada to California, we had to stop and buy snow chains just to get around and continue over the mountain. This is a very unforgiving land when she wants to be but she is also one of the most beautiful lands in the northern Nevada and California locations!!

Lake Tahoe is pride of California. It's located at the border of California and Nevada & absolutely pleasure to see this natural beauty. It's huge & one can enjoy a weekend trip here. We made a mistake & kept half day which is really insufficient to absorb this blue beauty completely. Autumn adds more value to it's beauty. It's a not to miss attraction.

Lake Tahoe is a beautiful place to spend a hot summer day. The water temperature is perfect, and the sand is really fine and free of litter, rocks and sticks. Perfect location for a day outing!

I was busy complaining about how so much of Tahoe is private and thus not really enjoyable as we entered the State park. This was exactly what I was looking for and we were lucky enough to be here at sunset so I got some nice pictures.
Best experience at Lake Tahoe was had here.

Just did a write up, but. . . Drove around the lake on a day trip & took our time. Loved all parts of it. Incline Village has the beautiful homes, nice beach & park & picnic tables. The Lake was so clear & pure, thank goodness. The mountains around it are majestic.

Park wraps around Lake Tahoe on the Nevada side. Freeway basically drives right through it. Lots of walking trails and scenic vistas.
