Very affordable ski village with children, our 6 year old had free lifts. The slopes were nice and you have a view of the lake. It is best to rent the skies from them as it is economically package for the amount of days (better than local ski rental). The lodge is comfortable a little overpriced for the typical cafeteria... Ski Resort is great, great views of the lake and the restuarant / pub at the top of the mountain overlooking Lake Tahoe is amazing.

You can tell that the instructors are trained and really geared for children and beginners. They have terrific tactics for teaching and keeping the beginner engaged and feeling enthused about their progress. Hey it's not always easy learning to ski - so the instructor can make or break one's spirit.

The wife and I took the beginner ski class. We both thought the instructor Nicole did a great job. We learned the basics. Enjoyed the all day skiing. Everybody at Diamond Peak were extremely helpful and courteous. We would totally recommend this skiing experience for everyone. Top notch facility, and reasonably priced.

The classes are outstanding and the staff running the children's ski lessons are even more so. . .gentle, caring, fun, and safety- conscious. The kids could not stop talking about the fun they had and how nice everyone is.

I have skied at this place a number of times. Family friendly and one of the best places to teach your kids how to ski. The slopes are not too hard, but there is enough to keep you challenged for a whole day. The views are one of the best around Tahoe and rates are reasonable compared to other resorts.... More

Seeing the excitement in the student's faces and hearing them tell their parents what fun they had is extremely satisfying. The kids are like sponges, soaking up the training without realizing they're learning a sport they can enjoy all their lives. The resort is neither the largest nor does it have the most difficult runs in the area, but combine... More
