Amazing views, challenging terrain, tools and bike work stations, away from vehicle traffic. No better place to ride.

Cycled portions of this loop over several days. A couple portions did twice. This is a road bike loop for sure. We brought our hybrid bikes on vacation and left our roadies at home big mistake. We still enjoyed the ride but had to work...More

This is easiest done on a road bike; the trail is paved all the way, Twelve feet wide. There are several entry and exit points, so you can decide the length of your cycling trip. The trail is smooth, well-marked, and has sufficient locations to...More

32 miles or what amazing bike trail. The views are fantastic, the road is perfect, no motorized vehicles allowed. Mostly not near the normal road, hence very quiet. They really went to a lot of trouble to make this trail, carving through mountains, tunnels and...More

I trail run and hike this with my dogs and its best during the cooler months. I use dirt trails off the main trail as I have found "shady" rest spots for me and the poocheslike a cave up high overlooking a great valley and...More

I chose this trail so that I could just ride and look around and not have to deal with traffic, what a great choice! It was challenging with all the up hills and great fun with the downhills. I rented a roadbike in Henderson and...More

River Mountain Loop Trail (3 Replies)
We would like to rent road bikes and cycle the River Mountain Loop Trail and/or Red Rock Canyon Trail.Where would be the best location to stay?Las Vegas,Henderson or Boulder City? We will fly into Vegas in March/April for a 4 night stay.We have done the Vegas thing numerous times, so we are looking for more of a low key /nice/ smoke free place to stay.Is there a good quality bike rental shop near the cycling trails? What is the ideal time of year to cycle the trails?

I can't help with any of your cycling-related questions but hope my replying with a few thoughts on where to stay, bumping the thread to the top of the pile, might get those that can interested. Yes, you...More
