We drove from Reno to see a special Christmas show. This is an extremely small casino, with few choices for slots, only two card tables. The "book" is a very small coatcheck size desk with one sleepy employee. There was one restaurant with a Mexican theme that served good food at a reasonable price. Nice folks too. The show venue is an open area which they close off with curtains during the show. The garage is very small, and we almost missed the signage. Not what we were expecting for a Lake Tahoo area casino.

The California Honeydrops was playing in the Crown Room for Christmas Eve but my wife sprained her knee and would not be able to stand for the show. I called the Executive Offices and they assured me that the could accommodate us with a chair. (Monica). So I made a purchase through Stubhub knowing there would be an accommodation. When I got there, one of the staff said he would set up a chair in the back - out of the way of foot traffic. He was overruled by his supervisor. He said we could sit in the restaurant and get up sporadically to see the show. He also offered to have us scalp our tickets in the lobby. (Thought scalping is illegal). We traveled from a long distance for the show and this manager said if you have a wheelchair you could sit. Otherwise we were just out of luck. I called the executive offices and they said they would look into it. I asked if they would get back to me. Only if they find out who I talked to.

A beautiful day in Nevada. Decided to drive from Reno to incline village and have lunch. We decided to try the Crystal Bay Club Casino. Parking was covered and we got a great spot as the garage was empty. I quickly found the players club and wanted to get a players card. The booth attendant was not very friendly to say the least. While he was making my card I asked him where we could eat, he said that there is no place open to eat. I thought all casinos had to have food available, so I asked a bartender, he repeated the players club guys remark that there was no place to eat. The casino was old, beat down and obviously caters to a night time party crowd. We walked around a bit but the place was dirty, old and wanted to get out of there, so we walked next door to Kelly’s Nugget, which made the Crystal Bay Casino look like the Wynn. Again, no place to eat, strange. We left as the patchouli incense and tweeter looking people there was horrid. I can’t believe these are real casinos. I do not recommend this place for anything.

I regularly come here for the outstanding music venue and consistently great acts they book. Admittedly, I'm not a die hard gambler, but I enjoy the 21 tables and craps.

Exploring the area and stopped here for a break and learned a lot about the history of the area. It would be fun to back to that time and see what is was like. This is a small casino but was fun and they even have indoor parking.

A guest at the Hyatt told us about rhis place.

They said it was their favorite place.
I would have to agree with them. This place is amazing and The food fantastic.

It's located between California and Nevada.

This resturant is next to the Cal /Nev resort.

The restaurant is quite charming.I think there is 24 tables in the room.

The ambiance is old Vegas style.
Dark wood, Redchairs and booths.

In the rat pack days. This is where Frank Sinatra, and Marilyn Monroe would dine.

The food is incredible. We just happened to be there on Lobster night.of course we had one.

I recommend starring with a their Caesar Salad , which is made table side.

There was 4 of us. We ordered 2 nice steaks and 1 big lobster to share and a few sides. Yum

If you are going to be in the incline village area. This is a place you must go and see it for yourself.

Can't wait to go back!!

Thank you Karen. We are so happy to hear that we exceeded your expectations. The property was originally constructed in 1937 and has seen what was once a bowling alley become a top entertainment venue in Northern Nevada. A old 49er bar become our Steak House and a grocery store morph into a casino. We have proudly served many interesting folks over the years and if these walls could speak we could probably retire on the publishing rights. Thank you again for your kind words. We will be sure to pass them on to our staff. We look forward to serving you again. Bill Bill Wood General Manager Crystal Bay Casino

We stayed in the Border House at this casino, so of course spent a little bit of time gambling as well. We only played slots, and even won a little bit! While we were in town they had a show in the Bar Room and we really had a great time!

There is a small restaurant in the CBC that serves a 3 egg, 3 bacon with potatoes and toast for under 3.33! It is served in a cozy dining room with a glowing fireplace. You cannot find a better deal for the price.

Thia area of Lake Tahoe has gone downhill every year for years. We went here on an added part of our stay to the South because we always liked the CalNeva, Franks old place. Well its been closed for like a year and half doing renovations so we were disappointed but since we were here, we went in all 3 local Casinos and this one was the better of all 3. Seemed clean enough, some variety of machines as well as table games, just really didnt stand out to us one way or the other. We have no plans on going back, but enjoyed ourselves anyway.

We decided to drive around the lake and decided to have lunch at the restaurant in the casino. They had great food and the atmosphere was really cool and laid back. Even the tables in the small restaraunt were unique and different. We enjoyed our lunch so much that we decided to stay at the casino a couple of hours. Even though we didnt strike it rich we really enjoyed the homey and welcome feel of the casino. One can only imagine the crowds in this casino in its hey day!
