Museum is relatively small and most fun for children 4+. We had our 18 mo old grand daughter and she found plenty to do. Children about 4 to 7 or 8 seemed to be having the most fun. The exhibits are not high tech but there was plenty of room to pretend, run and climb. Also tables for coloring and drawing.
We were there on a Monday afternoon in March with a total of about 8 children, Not sure if it gets crowded on weekends or in the summer.
Very highly recommended!

It is a neat museum in a historic building. My son still had fun but for an 11-year-old only about an hours worth of interest. The museum is definitely designed for younger children. I think the perfect age range would be 2-8 and some kids up to 10 but not much for middle school aged or middle school ability. Definitely was a fun little break.

Fun place in WPA building. Great for kids from 2 years old on. I have to carry my 3 year granddaughter out! Very reasonable cost on a daily basis or membership.

They change things often enough to go back. Even have days when they bring out the old press and stamp out coins.

This place is a lot of fun. Kids get to play with items and learn. I really had fun here even when I was just with another adult.

We made this a stop on our way to Reno and found it to be super engaging for our kids, 4 and 7. There were many younger children present, but the activities on site really engage the little ones through to adults.
From fuseball and air hockey, to dissecting a frog and learning about ecosystems and the many fish tanks. Learn about the history of northern Nevada, play doctor, and zip down the really fast slide. The balance of education, sport and play is great.
We've visited a handful of children museums in larger urban cities and this one rivals those, no doubt.
Have fun, be a kid!

We took our granddaughters ages 7 and 6 to this museum and they spent hours there. There was plenty of activities to keep them entertained and they met and played with other children. The women who work there were friendly and knowledgeable. We have visited this museum before and we will be back. This is mostly for young children, my husband and grandson, age 13, went and visited the Nevada State Museum.
