Brewers is a great outfitter for kayaks, tubes, tanks and canoes on the Niobrara River in the Nebraska Sandhills. We made arrangements in advance via phone. You can easily book a trip on line, but we had not been down the Niobrara before so we called to make sure we understood our options. Mary was extremely helpful and friendly. We met with Mary in Valentine the morning of our scheduled launch. Their in-town office was within walking distance of our hotel. Mary gave us detailed information about our trip, thoroughly marked a map with each bridge we'd pass so we never felt lost. We were on a motorcycle trip, so they picked us up at our hotel so we didn't have to ride and park our bike on gravel roads. They took us out of town to the launch site where our kayaks were ready. Once we exited at the pre-arranged bridge, there were quite a few people waiting for the 4:30pm pick up. Be prepared to be patient for the pick up. They coordinate multiple pick ups at various locations along the river. We didn't expect to be picked up the second we got out of the water, but it did take a bit longer than we anticipated. The driver took us back to our hotel and dropped us off at the front door. It was a terrific experience! The Niobrara River is so beautiful and peaceful. We went on a Sunday, and we were basically alone on the river for the first two hours. Saturdays can be crazy, Mary noted we chose wisely by avoiding the Saturday party crowds!

We were a party of three, two adults and an 8.5 years old daughter. You can bring kids younger but I wound not recomend younger than 8. We checked in at the bowling alley desk on the south side of town. We floated on a Friday, less crowded. Our driver picked us up in a van at the Comfort inn and gave us a ride to the Berry bridge. Do be aware of the correct time zone. One of the other guys in the group our van had to pickup was late. If you want to bring Beer you have to get on the river after the national refuge. Bring lots of bottled water beer and meat and cheese sticks. Apply sun screen before you get on the river. I fried my lilly white legs even with repeated application. Brewers did staff their concession stand that day. I bought an extra 20# bag of ice for our cooler. The shore man got our tubes ready in a triangle. Try to put your dry box in the middle of you float. Position your coolers in your floating cooler tubes so your lid opens toward your tube. Water proof speakers and an iPod would have been fun but we just enjoyed the peaceful nature sounds of the river. When you get to Smith falls push your tubes to the south bank and pull them up on shore. Smith falls is the tallest water fall in Nebrska and worth the hike. The water coming over the falls is colder than the river at this time of year. We floated all the way to Stans landing where at 6 hours the Brewers staff picked us up in the van and returned us to the Comfort Inn. Our experience was seamless. There are lots of friendly people floating the river. It was well worth the price to be picked up and dropped off.

Every aspect of this vendor was excellent. The person checking us in was knowledgeable and offered great suggestions. The person dropping us off was on time and helpful. The team helping us with the tubes were fun and friendly. The trip down the river was beautiful. This is well worth the time. We will be back. Next time we are bringing the whole family. Can't wait!

We went tubing with this company-a group of eight. The staff was very nice and helpful-answered all our questions. My only complaint was that the driver of the van to take us back to town lit up a cigarette with asking if it was ok. Someone said something and he put it out. The river was clean and the waterfalls were beautiful. Great for families!

Overall ok. Didn't give us a bag for garbage like the outfitter we had last year. Nice young men to help us load coolers the first day we floated but the second day other male passengers had to help us as we were 7 women with two heavy coolers. I would think the outfitters would do that for you, especially if they wanted a tip.

3 families taking an annual before school getaway. We used Brewers Canoers and Tubers to outfit our trip down the Niobrara. Kids between 14-17 years of age. They were very helpful gave great instructions and sent us down the river in style. Will definitely use them again next time. Make sure to stop at Smith Falls.

We had two families of four on a Wednesday tubing. Check in was amazing, quick and friendly. Pick up at site was also amazing with great small talk with owner. We did a six our float with kids 4, 5,6,8 and they all had an awesome time!!! We did two cooler tubes and had a picnic at Smiths Falls, stopped and swam lots and throughly enjoyed our day. I accidentally left my camera connected to a tube and they had it safely back at their headquarters the next morning for me. Top notch service!!!! Will come back and use them again!!!!

We just floated down the river today with our 5 & 7 yrs Olds. Brewers did a great job of explaining the simple drop your car, get picked up, dropped off & get life jackets & tubes. Simple to work with & helpful at checking in with questions & concerns & places to stop along the way. Tubes were spacious & rented 4 of them plus cooler tube which fit perfectly in the middle & supplied us with water & snacks on our 4/5 hr float.

My friends and I recently visited Brewers Canoers to tube down the Niobrara. It was an awesome time of 2-3 hours floating down the river, and stopping to look at waterfalls. However, our group had a rocky beginning (i.e. getting lost, almost running out of gas, etc.), and the employees here really went above and beyond to help us out. This is what stood out to us most. I'd recommend Brewers to anyone!
