It has a potential to be more engaging and educational. Some things require to give and share more and clear information.
Good for a quick walk through. There is an entrance price 5K for foreigners though. Gives the history on the majority ethnic groups in the location.
It is a pretty good to hit the museum first to get a layout of the area. All can compare your seeing in here and seeking in the real community.

The Museum is well display with Kayah traditional and cultural artifacts. Inside there are displays of various Kayah tribes costumes and handicraft. The museum seems to be not so well patronize as there are no one there when we were there. The staff was on hand to guide us around and the video helped to explain a lot on the custom and tradition of Kayah people. Really a good place to understand Kayah culture.

Many Kayah races traditional cultures can be observed collectively at the Cultural Museum with an entrance fees is only 200MMK for local adult.
This museum aims to present a wide range of knowledge concerning Kayah’s tradition and their daily lives. As soon as you enter the museum of Cultural, you would firstly see their traditional musical instruments.
Kayah State which is always pleasant with the song of frog-drum is alive and fills with crowds at their traditional festivities, weeding ceremonies, house-warming parties and other festivities, can be seen at the museum. The surface of the most ancient frog-drum is plain without any figures of frog, fish, mollusk and floral patterns. Another things in which you can study in one common place is dressing styles of the nine Kayah sub-ethnic groups of which few have a bit English language explanation.
Also a map of Kayah State showing localities of deviling nationals can also be studied. The booths of the Kayah Cultural Museum are giving you knowledge on Kayah ethnic groups in a short period of time and enhancing the spirit of national solidarity. It was worth a trip.

When you visit to Cultural Museum in Loikaw, it has a number of historical scene, daily habits lifestyle and unique costumes style. Worthy to visit and I recommended to visit in first before you travel to community villages or treeking tour.

We went, and whilst it was under contraction, it was worth going. You will see the different outfits worn by the different ethnic groups and also many artifacts.

Quite a big collection of local tribal outfits, displayed on mannequins. Also a few tools and musical instruments are shown. Still, it is not large and there are not so many English explanations, so you will be done in half an hour. Still fun to do, if you are around.

The museum is old school and not super impressive but I think it is very important to preserve all those artefacts and they are doing a nice job. I was happy to support it. The staff was very kind.

Worth visiting for an hour to get a quick appreciation of Kayah culture and history. Combined this with a visit to the Sunday Club across the street and you will have a cultural feast.

... to see the various ethnic costumes and get a sense of local history. But, it's a quick visit. And if you are a monk or nun, entry is free.
