There is a miniature Buffalo Bill Wild West that the kids may enjoy to see. The outside stockade has wagons, log cabin and jail. The store has a variety of souvenirs and candy. We actually purchased a couple Nebraska t-shirts and candy. Ample parking.

The outside is an obvious tourist trap. It looks like a fort from the late 1800's. There is a large cutout of Buffalo Bill outside also.
Inside is a large gift store with a varied and eclectic selection, a diorama of Buffalo Bill Cody's Wild West Show, a two-headed calf, and some other era displays. Overall, it's not a "must see" place, but it is good for what it is, and it's easy to get to.

As a lover of roadside stops like Wall Drug and South of the Border, I was excited to check out Fort Cody. Unfortunately, what I found was quite lacking in the fun kitsch department. The large Cody sign and the miniature section are nice pieces of roadside Americana, but that's about it for this attraction. Otherwise, it is just a large gift shop with nothing terribly unique and a rundown play area behind the store. It is a quick and free stop, so it cannot hurt to have a look. However, don't expect an abundance of kitsch to take in. Take it or leave it.

Lots of variety of things to purchase and got some history on Buffalo Bill. Very helpful and nice employees. We will return again if in the area.

I wasn’t expecting a lot, but I was still disappointed. I appreciate the time taken to carve all of the pieces for the show. It was just not worth the time to stop There weren’t a lot of souvenir options, and the kids weren’t impressed.

This place was disappointing. Don't take your kids because they will want to buy all the "cowboy" stuff that was shipped in from China.

Loved this place. One of the oldtime travel traps.(in a good way). Much to look at besides the shopping. Great selection and prices on all things western. Did not have time to visit the outside exhibits but sure the grandkids would have loved it.

This was a fun stop while we were staying in North Platte for the night. It is primarily a touristy gift shop, but there are some cool attractions inside like a mini museum and an animated miniature version of the Buffalo Bill wild west show. The animated show was worth the stop in itself.

Lots of souvenirs and food stuff for the tourist and traveler. Be prepared to pay the usual inflated tourist shop prices.

The kids would love this. And it is free. It’s worth a stop. There’s places inside the fence to let the kids run around and be kids. And there’s a lot of fun things to see inside the shop. It’s that one place that you always wanted to stop when you were a child and your parents said it was a tourist trap. It was fun.
