I saved this for last. It’s definitely a tourist trap. Geared towards children with all the trinket souvenirs that go with it. The miniature hand carved figurines (even some that move) were cute and I can appreciate the workmanship.

The Fort Cody Trading Post is essentially a big souvenir shop with an elaborate "fort" facade. Don't expect history or anything of real interest once you walk inside, just tons of generic souvenirs that you might find anywhere. It is almost worth checking out just...More

Good place to stop in North Platte if you have extra time. There is no admission charge and they also sell a lot of interesting gift items.

Went to see with my kids, was expecting a little bit more, but there was a miniature model of the Buffalo Bill show and some other interesting items from the show and Wild Bills life

There are some historical items to check out but mostly it is a place that sells souvenirs and there are a lot of them at various price points.More

You're right, lots and lots of souvenirs and gifts. But we also have our 20,000 piece Miniature Wild West Show depicting Col. Cody's world famous rodeo, as well as our Old West Exhibit featuring saddles, spurs, and firearms dating back to the late 1800's! Thanks...More

A little bit of everything for everyone. Plus some fun photo ops. Yes it’s Cheesy but cheesy good fun and definitely Worth a quick stop.
