We were here to visit the observation tower, but found this in a brochure. It was several trains that you can climb on and look inside. The museum itself closed 45 minutes before posted opening hours, so missed the inside of this museum.

this park is stunning. its large and very well kept. There are many things to do at this park and highly recommended to any traveler. plenty of playgrounds, tennis, fishing, the north platte river, camping, touristy stuff with the trains, frisbee golf, concession stands, amusement park rides for kiddos and unique christmas attractions during December. I love this place.

When I visit my family in North Platte we always visit Cody Park at least once. The rides are fun for the kids and everyone likes the Root Beer soft serve floats. I have been visiting Cody Park at least once a year since I was a child and I look forward to taking my daughter here as well.

Cody is more than a place to let the kids run some steam. The trains on display were magnificent and in my opinion much more impressive do then the Golden spire tower, the park has a little zoo and a train museum that is also fantastic. You can send a Morris code telegraph! This site should not be missed. If... More

The train museum is the absolute best part of this park. There are 2 trains that are open and you can walk through them in all of their glory. If its closed I would give this park a 3-4 star rating. There is a small zoo area that is free, a small campground, and several places for kids to play.... More

Unfortunately the train area of the park and the museum are closed for the season! We were able to peak through the fence to see The Challenger Steam Engine. It is beautifully restored and worth a look .
