We signed up for a two-day kayaking trip on both rivers and opted to stay in the RV park although the park also has 20 cabins and close access to motels in the village of Niobrara. The camp hosts were incredibly helpful and friendly. I was so surprised by their breathtaking 1260 acres of prairie and cliffs overlooking both rivers.... More

We love Niobrara State Park. The cabins are fantastic and very clean. The Game and Parks staff work are to make the park look so great. They are also very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. I word recommend getting a cabin with the view of the river you won’t be disappointed. The park offers, horseback rides, swimming pool, walking... More

There are steep hills and inclines that offer amazing views of the surrounding areas. It's a lush park that has a good number of campsites and some very private tenting sites. Plenty of cabins to rent if that's your thing.

What a perfect camping trip. Although everything was closed, we had a perfect stay here. The camp ground were clean and very well maintained. There was lots of animals in the park. It was so peaceful! We will definitely be back. My only FYI was the bathrooms were a little gross. Bring things to clean your own bathrooms AND bring... More

Well maintained state park with great views. More activities in summer months, such as swimming pool and horse back riding, but we enjoyed our trip non the less. Number of flies but it is nature! We stayed in the RV park and had plenty of options.

Spent the day at the park with a group of Geocachers. The park manager has welcomed geocaching, allowing caches to be placed in the park. Finding these caches allows people to explore the parks many trails and out of the way beautiful views. We also ate supper at the Buffalo cookout. Great meal and after supper entertainment. I checked the... More

Long views from atop the bluffs and picnic areas down by the river. No speeding traffic on a nice slow road. That's my kind of vacation!

My husband and I spent 3 nights camping but we're supposed to spent 4. The park is gorgeous, the views from the highest points are amazing and there is a nice hiking along the Missouri River. We stayed at the RV campground even though we don't have an RV. We have a teardrop trailer so we couldn't stay in the... More

Great Views though the roads going through the parks are horrible. Can't complain too much we were only there to take in the view and keep on driving.

Our friends decided at the last minute they wanted to go camping after work for the weekend and being caught off guard, wasn't quite ready to commit but Im glad I did. The camp sites are fantastic, all either with great views of the river, or more wooded, secluded sites. It is a nice get away into nature but with... More
