What a great place to find out a little bit about how the Underground Railroad got people to freedom and how Nebraska City played a role in that.

This place is a nice little bit of history about the Underground Railroad. I've been here before. Liked the tour & grounds. Have great memories of that. Was in Nebraska City for the day & decided to take a spin by here. It was closed for the season. Was able to see the buildings & grounds. It's been 9 years since I've been here. Don't think the picnic tables have been painted since before that time. Realize it's historical but the buildings & the land around them could use a little bit up upkeep & maintenance done. Other than that, this is a definite must-see if you're in Nebraska City!

We travelled with 3 kids over the weekend of the Juneteenth celebration. This is a great stop for a short history lesson. The staff was extremely helpful and even passed out flashlights for the kids to visit the 'cave.' This was a great stop.

I found this to be extremely interesting. The lady "hosting" was very knowledgeable regarding not only its history but the layout and artifacts. I am SO glad to have taken the time to explore here!

We were making a day trip across Southeast Nebraska and decided to stop here. It was a cheap and local history. I understand the buildings and grounds are all ran on donations mainly but the grounds need some upkeep and the buildings. It would be nice if they could fix the tunnel/cave under the building that was once used. I would still stop and make the donation to keep this place open. It is a nice piece of local history.
