Although we generally go there to buy apples in the fall, they have many special events. There are also walking paths (fees for some) and other activities. It is a working orchard just across the street from Arbor Lodge, home of J. Sterling Morton, founder of Arbor Day.

We had a great time at Arbor Day Farm. The activities were fun and child friendly. Teaching the kids to pick apples from the tree was enjoyable.

I went with my children and grandchildren and we had the most fantastic experience-the day was weather perfect and the little boys had great fun on the trails and places to play--their was only 1 kind of apples available to pick but they were delicious-- We wanted to see the mansion but little boys had enough--will go back again:)

My husband and I visited Arbor Day Farm because of a wedding we were attending in the barns. We got to the farm early because we had heard about the wine tasting. It was a quick visit and we didn't do anything else then wonder around after the tasting but it was a fun experience. The wines are pretty much... More

There are cute woodland plush toys and a wide variety of other gifts in the gift shop here. Be sure to visit the area behind the gift shop to learn more about trees. There are interactive displays both adults and kids will learn from. There is also a nice patio for those who just want to relax. There are fees... More

One of the places we wanted to visit on a 21 day road trip and was very disappointed. The walks among the trees was nice but the paths weren't very well maintained. The carriage house was closed for repairs and main house looked like it should have been closed for repairs. The gift shop wasn't very well stocked and we... More

It appears that you visited more than one of our locations here at Arbor Day Farm and we appreciate you point of view. We are managing the renovations at Arbor Lodge State Historical Park and we are in the midst of many of these projects on the Mansion and the grounds. Because of the large scale of these changes we... More

A nice quiet walk from the Lied Lodge through the trees puts you at Arbor Day Farm. Peaceful setting. More enjoyable for small children and elderly who want a nice stroll. Very clean.

The Arbor Day Farm is worth visiting. The trails are well maintained and the activities are in working order. There are activities for children and a nice gift shop. The tree house can be fun for all ages. After visiting the farm we ate at the Pie Market next door and had a nice picnic. A great family experience!

We really wanted to do the Discovery Ride, but the tour was done for the day by the time we got there. We did the Tree Adventure and did the Tree House Trail and it was really cool. Very beautiful and fun, neat things for the kids to do. Plan to spend at least an hour for kids to play... More

Great for pie, apple cider slushes, sandwiches and drinks. It's walking distance from the Morton home.
