The farm was a pleasant experience. I had expected more from having heard about the Mortons and Arbor Day all my life. It was pretty expensive for a short walk through some trees ($8 per). This was over Thanksgiving weekend, so it was after the...More

Spent a Friday afternoon here with our grandsons and their parents! It's a family tradition. Always an adventure and we just love the new playground equipment that was recently installed. We'll be back next year!

This is a nice little attraction to spend an hour or two walking through. Lots of interesting information and even some fun things to keep children entertained. We've been here twice and would go again.

Nearby Lakes/Cabins? (3 Replies)
We are traveling from KC to Omaha the weekend of Aug. 1-2. We have been before and are going to stay at Arbor Day Farm one night in Neb. City and then on to Omaha for the zoo the next day and to visit friends. Hubby wants to extend our stay a few more days and find a lake or something within 2-3 hours driving distance of Omaha with a cabin we could rent. We have three kids age 7 and under. I have checked the state parks web site and all cabins seem to be booked. Any other suggestions?

Not alot to choose from. 3 hours NW of Omaha is Lewis & Clark Reservoir on the border near Yankton SD & Crofton Neb. Check our VRBO or other rental websites. Not as familiar of what Iowa has, but do know 3 hrs NE is Storm lake, IA. Maybe post in the Iowa forum for better help!
