It’s a great place that is fairly cost friendly. Lots of stations for kids to go to that keep it fun for a longer time. There’s not a ton of staff, so things can get kinda messy. I also don’t really understand to charge parents to get in when it’s a child’s exhibit. If it were a zoo, where parents can see and partake in exhibits it’s one thing. There’s nothing for parents here besides supervising a child. So about 30 dollars for a couple to get in seems a bit ridiculous. Overall, it’s a great place for smaller kids to run around and burn energy

We have taken our boys here a lot over the years. Their favorite is the pizza parlor, and the firetruck. They have different activities often. The last time we were there the boys make rockets and shot them off. Many staff we there to help the kids and it wasn't chaos at all. Clean fun place to visit.

My kids LOVED this museum and didn't want to leave - we stayed until closing and they begged to come back the next day. Unfortunately the next day was a Sunday so they didn't open until 1pm and we had to be on the road driving back home way before 1pm.
This place has 3 stories of fun! They have a hot air balloon which goes up all three stories. They have a wooden bridge to cross, a tree house, pizza restaurant, newsroom, Dr and vet office, sports center, grocery store, space center with moon rover, mini airport with a real airplane, a water works area, a prairie dog town with tunnels to crawl through, super sized large rocking chairs, etc.
My kids never wanted to leave! It was so much fun!!! The staff was friendly and kind. We had a blast at this museum! I'd give it 6 stars if I could!

We loved the children's museum--all three floors of it. Sit in a real tractor, fire truck, airplane....play football and volleyball, ride in a space shuttle, climb on the prairie dog hill, make pizzas, be a television announcer. Be a Veterinarian, or a doctor. Ride the motorcycles. Go to jail. Act on stage. Explore the treehouse. But, best of all, play in the water area. In fact, we were glad we visited the water area last, because our granddaughter was very content to stay there--for hours. Next time, we will go for a couple hours, take a break, and then come back for more fun on our all day pass. Our only comment was, we wonder how many kids leave the place kicking and screaming, because They Don't Want to Leave!!! (My 18 yr old son could'nt wait to take his niece to the Children's Museum--nothing but wonderful memories of the times he went as a kid)

It was too expensive for me-all adults have to pay also.
There was almost too many toys and stations-my kids couldn't keep any attention span and ran all over the place.
It is also way too busy on any event days
The parking is hard to find

Our son is just 16 months, but absolutely loves the Museum. There's a gated section for toddlers that he likes to explore on his own, but he also enjoys all of the other exhibits and getting to interact with older children.
We're Lincoln residents, so we have a membership, but this is definitely a must-see destination for any families visiting or traveling through Lincoln.

This children's museum is by far the best I have ever been to. There is something for everyone to enjoy. There is an area for infants that has mirrors, puppets, climbing structures, etc. If your child is really mobile, have them ride in the firetruck, pretend that they are a football player, explore a spaceship, pretend their live in a tree, or are acting on stage. We always make a point of going to the museum. My girls at age 10 and 7 still enjoy it!

We stopped here on our way through Lincoln after deciding it was too hot for the zoo. What a nice surprise! It was a little busy...but I would expect that on such a hot day. Three stories of awesome exhibits. Even my husband and I got in on the fun! By far the best children's museum we've been to!! Kids have asked to go back nearly every day since!

Three floors of make-believe, role-playing, climbing and waterworks! My grandkids LOVE the Lincoln children's museum and could go many times without getting tired of it. There is a stage with costumes to act out plays, face painting, a water feature that lets kids learn and play, a fire truck, airplane, grocery store, veterinary clinic, doctor's office and so much more. My grandkids range from 2-13 and they all love to go. Best for ages 4-8 in my opinion. Reasonable admission, excellent gift shop.

This place is so much fun for the kids! I highly recommend going -- it's even fun for the adults! It's a beautiful play place and very well built. Lots of interesting and exciting things for the children to explore. And the price is very affordable. My son (age 3) spent 2 hours playing and could have stayed another 2 hours easily. Lincoln should be very proud of the time and effort put into this city establishment.

Is there a parking lot for the museum or is there only street parking? If there is parking where is it located?

There is street parking as well as a lot diagonal from the museum and the first hour is free! It is hardly ever full unless it is a football Saturday!
